I was so excited to get more of Jade's story. It had my attention from beginning to end!
I would highly suggest reading TREASURE first though. It was a prequel to her story and it explains how this book begins.

There were a few edge of your seat moments and some secrets are revealed.
We also got action and suspense, spice, and a little humor.

I love Jade. While she is a little naive, she is also smart and is learning quickly. Jade becomes more confident as she learns more about herself.
Shep, Isaiah, and Patten, I love each of them. The banter between all the guys had me cracking up at times.
I have mixed feelings about her father though, but I also think there is so much more to his story.

I do have lots of questions and a few suspicions.
I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I do hope a certain character becomes a love interest. 🤞

I think this was an excellent beginning to the series. The author gives us an intriguing story and leaves us wanting more!

Holy moly! This whole read was absolutely captivating. This follows from where Treasure left off. It was really exciting to read more about Jade. I also loved getting to read about Shep, Isaiah, and Patten again. I love all their wit and banter. As the title states “captive” Jade gets captured for the purely selfish reasons of her kidnapper. A new character that we meet is Dominik who is also under observation and was captured. Dominik is super interesting and not at all what I initially felt about him. Even though they are meant to do something terrible things to each other, I can’t help but feel the tension and the spark that is there. I am so excited for the next book and to see where all of this goes. The storyline was intriguing and the non-con/dub-con was perfect.

Jade realises that her Dad may not be the man she thought he was and that the decision to leave may not have been the right one. But things go badly wrong for her before she can decide and the only ones that can help her are the men she left behind. This was darker than Treasure and let Jade's character develop from an indecisive people pleaser to someone who wants to control her own destiny. There is also a new dragon, forced breeding and a collector who wants to own her.
I laughed out loud at the balaclavas and Isaiah's 'birds and bees' talk to Jade and her Dad.
I am loving this series, beautifully written, great characters and a strong story.

Continuing on from book 1 we see Jade with her father but an accident results in Jade's abduction and captivity. This book has dark elements because while Jade was held captive she was forced to breed with another firedrake; one who isn't one of her mates.

Shep, Isaiah, and Patten are going out of their minds when Jade's injured father shows up on their doorstep demanding their help in finding her.

There were some suspicions, and plot twists. As Jade reunites with her harem she realizes that she has a bond with the firedrake she was forced to breed with. A botched rescue attempt puts everyone's lives in danger ending with a nail biting Cliffhanger.

Fab hot story

I loved this story about Jade who has been locked away in an attic for the past 6 years. Thieves come looking for treasure and find her. She is finally free and begins to be introduced to a completely different life. She no longer feels alone. Unfortunately there is a man who wants her as part of his collection. Hot read.
