You’re an old pro at all your favorite stitches. You tend to stick to the ones you know, and that’s totally OK because your scarves are beautiful, and everyone loves your sweaters. But it does get a little, well, boring sometimes doing the same stitch over and over again. For as much or as little as you have been crocheting, have you ever been bold enough to learn how to crochet something new?
They tell you how to do it. but some of us need more pictures to see if what we are doing is the right way and a picture helps us to see that it is coming out the way it is supposed to.
I'm sure that the instructions are great for a novice, but far too confusing for someone new to the world of crochet...maybe I will be able to understand it in time?
I thought the pictures were not very clear. I am some what of a new crocheter and found the written instructions confusing. The stitches did look interesting and I think I would hsve enjoyed learning them
Informative and perfect for those who need a refresher course or even want to get see if Crocheting is for you. More practice and will be able to keep up but it really does show you what can be done.
I found this book to be very informative, with very interesting . It enabled me to learn more stiches! I would recommend this book to any who are interested in the art.off crocheting!
The stitch on the front picture is the stitch I wanted to learn and I knew enough about Crochet to understand the instructions. The other stitches I did not understand very well! I would love to learn some of these because they look so nice!
Here's another one I picked up for free on Amazon. It is still free today. I love looking at the pictures on my tablet as they are very clear and I can see what the results should look like.
This isn't a pattern book. If you are an experienced crocheter you have tons of patterns. This gives you stitches that you might include in your work. Some of them I knew, but could never find the pattern that included this stitch. Others were new to me. I can hardly wait to try them out!
If you like to crochet and need pictures to help you out, this is the book for you. Oh, and there are links to sites that will teach you more. This one is a keeper!
5.0 stars***** I enjoyed learning from this book, March 28, 2015
This review is from: 8 Different Crochet Stitches: Learn to Crochet Something New with Crochet Patterns (Kindle Edition) 8 Different Crochet Stitches: Learn to Crochet written about Prime Publishing was very helpful to me. I have been crocheting for a long time and I am always looking for new patterns. I enjoyed learning from this book. It was very helpful and gave step by step instructions. The funny thing is my pattern never looks like the picture in the instruction book. Thanks.
This has some lovely stitches and instructions for some techniques I wasn't sure about and the illustrations were pretty clear. I like the crocodile stitch, but found the instructions beyond the first couple stitches a little confusing. That is my only complaint.
My grandmother and her sister, my great aunt, taught me basic crochet stitches. Now hopefully I will be able to add these four stitches to enhance my projects. I am glad that the book only showed four different types of stitches instead of showing multiple of stitches. That would be a little overwhelming. I can't wait to start my next project.
We all tend to stick to the stitches we know, and that’s totally OK because your scarves are beautiful, and everyone loves your sweaters. But it does get a little, well, boring sometimes doing the same stitch over and over again. BUT, it's a new year new you!!! New stitches GURL!! Try this out for a spin, to stretch those paws between reading books...! Send me a pic of whay you made!
Could probably do with a few more pictures to help illustrate how to do the stitches. Some of the instructions are easy to follow others not so much. Probably a bit advanced for me at this stage.
If I had no or minor knowledge of crochet, I would be lost. While it does offer a few new stitches, the directions aren't clear. Since I am experienced in crochet I could follow most instructions. Decidedly not for a novice.
