By the looks of some other reviews, I guess I'm in the minority on this one. I felt like everything about this book went from zero to sixty in the blink of an eye. From childhood to adulthood; from a divorce to a rekindled romance; from hello to doing it in the grass to living together to pregancy to death to fighting to making up to the baby's coming right now.... There was no real build up to anything - everything just happened. It made the story come off choppy to me. Even the character's con

Looking through the other reviews for this story, I'm definitely in the minority. There was obviously something the other readers really liked and I either overlooked or it just didn't resonate with me. From the beginning, I had problems with the simple and stilted sentences/dialogue. The writing didn't feel very developed or mature to me. Although the writing was more young adult, the subject matter was too serious to be written so lightly. The domestic abuse, spousal rape, and then Bobby's vio

Okay, I saw this title and thought,
How in the world did I miss this
book. I love K. Webster, so of course
I immediately clicked.
I was vastly disappointed. I could go
on and on and ramble and rant about
everything that did not work for me,
but I am going to condense it in a
few short observations.
1. Bobby was a douche
2. June was a doormat
3. June escapes abusive relationship
4. Bobby our hero, becomes the
abusive relationship.
4. Timing was off, everything
went super fast
5. Not believable in any realm

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book. It struck every emotion in me. I laughed, cried several times, I even had the big ugly cry.
Bobby had me fanning myself and falling in love with him at every turn. He has this endless love for everyone in his life, his band mates included. They are a tight group of badass, hot, tattooed and pierced guys. They know how to push each others buttons and it is hilarious!

I think this review pretty much defines some of this author's books.
For what I gather from reviews it could be used for her latest release too. Go figure.

There were so many things about this book that bothered me.
*Everything happens at warp speed. Nearly every thing that happens is way too rushed. The dialogue felt stilted and unnatural.
*Bobby is a psycho. Everything about him just screamed RED FLAG, RUN!!!! He uses drugs, is abusive (multiple times) to June and generally acts like a crazy person. Wanting to bruise your previously abused girlfriend so everyone will know who she belongs to? RUN!!!! He's known that he loves June (his muse) since he ...more

I struggled with this, the premise looks brilliant - a rocker love story with a long lost friend ... sign me up. Sadly this just did not work for me, I found the writing to be stilted and dare I say it, immature.
There was quite a lot going on in the story, but I felt it never really took off. Very little plot and character development. June started off as a doormat with her first marriage and the way Bobby was with her was just as bad, and she clearly didn't learn her lesson the first time roun ...more

Disappointing.
The idea of the book was great, but the execution poor. I was looking forward to seeing June become a strong woman after getting out of her abusive marriage, but all she ended up doing was substituting one arsehole for another. Granted, Bobby wasn't physically abusive, but verbally, very much so! And she just took it again and again like the doormat that she was.

4/5 Stars
What is it about Rock stars that makes me all HOT and TURNED ON?
I think it is just the vibe they give however when you add a little country to the mix it takes it to a whole new level of HOT! K.Webster made my heart swell with this book it is such a beautiful story. It made my heart fill with joy and seriously made my Friday even better!
Rock Country begins with a flashback of Bobby and Junes early days when they were younger and were the best

Read it! Fantastic read!Amazing start to a new series by Author K. Webster. This book was hot!!! Bobby & June are totally loveable main characters. Bobby is the hot as sin badass rocker from The Aces, and June is basically the girl that got away. June and Bobby were best friends when they were kids but were seperated when Bobby's mom moved away with him. Flash forward to adulthood where we see them reunite and the sparks fly. June was in a terrible marriage, she had an awful and abusive husband

This Novella is one of my favorites! I LOVE BOBBY!! You might be laughing at first... but it might soon turn to tears and the feeling of longing. While Bobby finds success where he ends up, June is left to grow up without her only friend, in a town where shes stuck... with her "high school sweetheart" husband... He may not be as sweet as he sounds... When a huge deception is brought to light and Bobby ends up back home.... is he too late..?!? Will he be able to build a relationship with his fath

I received a copy for her upcoming blog tour! This book was fantastic, and beautifully written. I really enjoyed it. The story line was different and unique. The characters we incredible.

Staying in the middle with a 3
I thought it was good, but not great.
It came across as a bit simple and fast. I felt it was- oh, here's a major life problem, let's just quickly solve it with a tidy, perfect bow. It was a little TOO perfectly tied together at times. Would have liked to see Bobby work more to get June. I praised her for her strength early on, but honestly, Bobby started showing some of the same traits as Markwayne, yet she kept taking him back. It didn't make sense to me.

I enjoyed this book and was sad when it ended. I found all of the characters entertaining. Bobby's bandmates especially made me giggle. Bobby was more messed up than I thought. His drug use and reactions while on drugs made the story more interesting and dramatic. The lies that June's ex told gave it a nice twist, too! Bobby was a little too emotional of a guy for me. I tend to roll my eyes and think "What a drama queen this guy is" when he cries too often for my liking. Overall, I had my eyes g

This book was like listening to a country song. It was sweet, tender and all about true love. Bobby and June were best friends. When Bobby left June never forgot the friendship and love she had for him. When circumstances bring Bobby back and right back into the path of June love ignites once again. Although I loved Bobby there were times I wanted to reach into this book and give him a good shake. If you are looking for a sweet love story about friends discovering love with little drama this is

I loved parts of this book and disliked others, plus I enjoyed the ending and look forward to reading the other two books in the series. It can be read as a stand alone. There are many emotional and disturbing scenes re domestic violence, plus erotic romance scenes. I did feel the emotional tug between the H/h.

I hate that I’m giving one of my top 5 favorite authors a 2 star review but I honestly couldn’t stand the heroine in this book. The writing seemed different which was fine it just wasn’t what I have come to expect. I thought the plot had a lot of potential but wasn’t what I was expecting.
Like I was so proud of her I’m the beginning. But everything went to shit after. I know the hero was going through so much but that doesn’t mean that she had to just take it. I mean she was like “he crossed a li ...more

Probably the most pitiful story ever. June bug is just the nastiest thing to be called. Markwayne is husband who beats her living in a trailer.. well, stereotype me white trash. June is a sweet heart and knows she deserves better than Markwayne. The problem is that I never see Bobby being a better solution. Bobby seems to want to paw her or berate (still abuse) and he just got on my nerves with his big beat down of Markwayne to walk into the house and want sex with June. Just so trashy...

Just didn't work for me at all. Liked the premise, but it's just not well conceived all the way through. I can handle characters that are a hot mess, but they kept saying sorry, and I forgive you without showing any real work to try and change and make things different. On the one hand I can feel the connection, but there wasn't enough time with the band together with June for me to feel that connection later. Just didn't work for me.

Rock Country was a cute and enjoyable read for me. I love friends to lovers romance!!! Especially when they still love each other years on down the road. I kind of hated Bobby at times. I don't think I would've been as forgiving as June, but she must be a better person than me. 😜 I really liked June. She was a spitfire!!! I loved the relationship between Bobby and his dad and the bandmates. I can't wait to read their stories!!!

As much as I love K Webster, I am sad to say that this book was awful! The characters were two dimensional and the writing just didn’t flow well. The hero was a complete douche with his mood swings and the heroine kept forgiving him!! I felt like drama was also thrown in just for the sake of it. I couldn’t wait for this book to end.

Sweet story.
This was a good story.
I liked the way it developed but wish we’d seen a little more of the other characters and what made them tick, a bit more than what I got.
There were some parts in there that seemed so unrealistic, which made the rest of it, that was written well, stand out even more.
I get that it’s just a story, but it didn’t work for me.
