I didn't like the exercises-- maybe this book goes with a teacher's edition that has suggested interpretations/ guidance of the answers/ responses. A few of the best chapters: "Intercultural Communication: A Current Perspective," "The Power of Talk: Who Gets Heard and Why" and "Making Differences Matter: A New Paradigm for Managing Diversity"

The content of this flimsy, cheaply printed book was ok, but, being a textbook, it cost $100, which is insane. Most of the articles are available online anyway. If this book is assigned to you in a class, find the table of contents online somewhere and go about assembling it yourself for free. The textbook market is such a racket.

This not the most entertaining book on the market, but it's a decent text full of insights into issues of diversity in the workplace. The readings, cases, and exercises are interesting, but they're also pretty expensive.
