Criminal defense attorney, Harper Vale is used to dealing with powerful men. But one sexy police officer rubs her the wrong way… and she likes it.
Harper’s week nosedives after the infuriating Officer Banks pulls her over for speeding. Random gifts start appearing, and the long-anticipated dinner reservations at the new hot spot were finally here. Unfortunately, now she’s dateless.
Any other night, she’d slip on her best dress and stroll through those doors alone, but not tonight. Not on Valentine’s Day. That’s why she agreed to her friend’s set up.
Officer Jay Banks would rather be home with a beer and some pay-per-view than at a swanky restaurant waiting for his blind date. But when his favorite cousin asks him for a favor, he couldn’t say no.
This woman was a barracuda in the courtroom, and a siren in his dreams. They mixed about as well as oil and water. That doesn’t stop his protective instincts from kicking in the minute she finds herself in distress.
Harper and Jay have enough chemistry to heat up the cold winter nights, but can these opposites work together when their lives are on the line?
Another great read from the Ashwood Blues series! Harper and Jay are most definitely doing the whole enemies-to-lovers thing! This was a quick read for me as I could not put it down once I started reading. This “couple” had me laughing, dropping a few curse words, blushing on a few pages, and cheering them on the whole way! Highly recommend this series!
Read as part of a romance reading challenge - where I had to read a trope/subgenre I don’t normally go for: sexy cop. But I wouldn’t mind checking out some of the others by this author because I generally enjoy her writing style
