Semara is desperate to rescue Ryder who is stuck in the middle of a battle with the queen. But the Triune is not what it once was, as they begin to doubt themselves and each other. Will they be able to sort out their issues or will there be no hope for defeating the queen?

Balance is a likeable third and final book in the Neumarian Chronicles. There is action, twists and lots of death and destruction, which you would expect with the book being set in the middle of a war.

I love this series! It's definitely a must read for any readers who love adventure, romance, and a twist of the futuristic! I couldn't put Balance down; the action and the excellent world Ciara Knight created was truly engrossing. I think Semara is an excellent female character; through out the series she grew to be a strong confident woman, and it's nice to have a female character that you actually can see her depth. I love Ryder also; I did have a moment in this book when I was less than pleas ...more

Balance is the third and final book in the series. This book tied up all loose ends and answered questions I had from book two. The queen is so evil she doesn't care about anyone but herself and not only does she kill her own sister out of jealousy but she wants anyone that doesn't agree with her dead....The triune has to overcome some major difficulties in order to make things right again for all living humans and Neumarians a

Fabulous read! Loved it. Love this series. I am so glad I read this book it flowed seamlessly after Pendulum. I don't know if I could have waited any longer to read this book I was very anxious after reading Pendulum to get my hands on this one. These characters even though in the midst of war show so much love and endurance. I was glad for the HEA, was sad when they lost loved ones and ecstatic over the outcome of the story. This story just flowed I couldn't put it down, I kept telling myself I ...more

You jump right back into the action of the Rebellion like you never left. The story grips you and holds you through Samara, Ryder, Raeth, Penton's and the entire Rebellion's battle and cause. The story comes to a natural conclusion, it leaves you feeling good about the characters and the hardships that they have had to endure. It's storytelling at it finest. Just as with the previous books, Ciara let's you live the story through the character's eyes and emotions. Once you pick it up, you don't w ...more

I’m finally able to review the conclusion to this AMAZING series, Knight has quickly become one of my FAVE YA authors as her writing just transports me into these pages and I forget everything else around me!! The first three chapters are INTENSE, but definitely stay true to the story and just when you think you know how the plot would progress, it all changes again….. so if you think you know how things will transpire in Balance after this incredible journey with Semara (I certainly

A final installment in a series can either make or break the whole series for me. I feel that I am capable of saying that the final installment made this series. The characters face a very real, long and hard battle with the Queen and her forces in this book. We get to see if the rebellion or the Queen comes out victorious and who gives their life for their cause. There is much that I could say about this book but it would give too much away.

The characters and the world building are still my fav

Ciara Knight striked again! I remember how I was sucked into the story when I read the first one a couple of months ago, when I finished the second book I couldn’t wait to see how this incredible journey would end and she delivered a story above my expectations! The story picks up right where “Pendulum” ended. The characters are once again very well written and it’s not only 2-3 characters that have some depth, which is something I always appreciated in her books. It was bittersweet seeing the s ...more

I can't say it enough....Fabulous!!!!!!

I am in love with this series! I just cannot get enough of it. Ciara, you have outdone yourself with this one. Smears and Ryder and Raeth and Penton are the absolute best characters. But let's not forget about Fallon, Bendar, Dred, Harrison and dear sweet Mags. They are such a great group of people to fall for. You just want to sit and root for them as if you were actually there. Such a great series that you just gotta get them all and start reading right a

Picking up right where "Pendulum" left off, this volume is very definitely NOT a standalone.

Having read the previous books in this series, I knew I had to read Balance. I loved the others and had so many unanswered questions and the desire to know what was going to happen. This book was the best and I just could not put it down, it grabbed me and kept me reading to finish reading it in record time for me.

I love the characters; you meet Semara and Rauth as 12 year olds in Weighted and mostly follow the main character, Semara, throughout the series. You watch Semara struggle with guilt,

Third and final installment of the Neumarian Chronicles is quite a bit darker compared to the other two. War is on the horizon and every single character will have to delve inside themselves to get through it. Only the strong, both in mind and in body, will be able to come through to the other side, if there is to be another side.

There is a lot of death and destruction in this final book. It is the escalation before the big showdown with the queen. There is a lot of despair and loss and all-aro

3-1/2 to 4 stars. Balance is the third and final installment in this series. There is so much plot that I almost don't know where to begin...

We meet up with Semara, Ryder, and Raeth exactly where we left off. The three Triune members and their ragtag crew must escape Queen Valderak's attack. The Triune is the only way to defeat the Queen, so they must survive or all hope is lost. All three must learn to work together and use the talents of those around them to win the war and free all people, hu

I wasn't sure what to expect with this novel. As the third part in the series, I wondered if it would be the conclusion or just another stepping stone. The description on the back made me think it was a stepping stone, but it turned out to be the conclusion. And what a conclusion it was! "Pendulum" ended with a bang and "Balance" picked up right where it left off. The novel started with action, then dwindled to story until about two-thirds of the way through, then delved right back into action. ...more

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was so anxious to start this book, especially after the ending of Pendulum. Balance picked up right where Pendulum ended. This was a great ending to the series. I was so happy with how the adventure ended. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions. This book had me crying. I couldn't believe some of the things that happened. I hated how Ryder and Semara treated each other throughout the first half of the book. I also hated that Sem

Good finale to an entertaining trilogy

The third (and as far as I know final) book in the Neumarian Chronicles brought the trilogy to a satisfying conclusion. There was plenty of action throughout the book, but it all culminated with a showdown between the heroes and the main villain. I do not feel there is anything left that I need answered. Overall a good book (and trilogy) that I found to be an easy read.

And here is where the story ends, unfortunately.
There are no loose ends and the storyline is unique, in its own way.
Once more, I could not put the book down and I was sad when I got to the last page, simply because it was the end of an amazing read.
I will definitely re-read this in the future, ‘cause it’s one of the series that leaves a serious book-hangover once you finish it!

Balance was a great ending to a great trilogy!

I love the world that was created and adore the charachters.
The only minus of this whole trilogy is that it could use some more editing. The story telling is a bit chaotic at times and during dialogues it isn't always clear who says what so I had to re-read certain passages a few times.

Grammar and punctuations errors are my biggest pet peeve!!! BUT, if you judge it based on just that, you're missing out. This whole world was intriguing. And the action kept me wanting to read on. I was pretty happy with the ending :)
