But it just so happens to be Sheriff Dell, her neighbor. He's going to check the place out but with her constant ogling him he gets the wrong idea. He begins to think she called 911 just to see him and not for a real emergency. Despite her protests and explanation

If you are looking for a quick, steamy read while waiting on your kids to get done at practice or at the doctor’s office, this is the book for you. Marney and the Sheriff Dell O’Neil, get off on the wrong foot right from the beginning. Marney thinks someone is in her house and calls 911. When the Sheriff gets there, he doesn’t find any sign of a break in and the alarm was not armed. He believes she made up the story to meet him. Marney is so embarrassed he thinks that, even if he did catch her ...more

Good lord, Dell just oozes sex appeal I was with Marney all the way on those naughty thoughts, "right." More hormones awoke at the deep, masculine sound of his voice. Holding her head high and pretending she wasn't fighting the urge to rip off his shirt, she marched to the control box for the alarm then stepped out of the way." I mean Dell the boy has some issues like he can be an a**, "his voice took on a hard tone. "I'll do one more check outside then I'll swing back in to make sure you're oka ...more

I love to have these short sweet romances on my kindle for when I just want something light and well written. This is another in the series by different authors called the Billionaire Matchmaker. Though they are loosely intertwined, each could stand on it's own and they could be read out of order. I think they also serve as good introductions to each author's style.
That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. Susan Meier did a great job in balancing story and character development in thi

I really enjoyed Marney and Dell's story. Marney knew herself so well and even though she waffled a bit in the beginning about her options, as she thought it over and talked it out, she came to her true feelings pretty quickly. Dell was a little slower on the uptake. I loved that the had such smoking chemistry and that they both knew it for what it was. I felt both characters were realistic and had believable backstories. My favorite secondary character was of course Charlie. If you are looking ...more

This is a very short story of only about 60 pages. I thought it was a cute story and I enjoyed the characters. I felt like the ending was a little quick. It went from one extreme to the other in a matter of a paragraph or two but it was a great story to have just hanging around between longer reads.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun and enjoyable read.

Marney and Dell are fun and very likable, I enjoyed their love story.
The ending felt a little rushed but overall for a short story it was a good afternoon read.

Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Indulgence for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I'm not normally a novella reader unless it's about characters from a previous book but I really liked this one. I thought their first meeting and Dell's hairbrained idea about why she called the police was hilarious. It's a perfectly light read for when you don't have enough time for a full length novel.

DNF at 50%. Just couldn't get into it. Sheriff's really a billionaire, thinks neighbor called 911 because she has the hots for him. Someone else will probably really enjoy it.

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny beginning to the day here in Western, Pennsylvania. I'm working on my 54th book. 54th! I'm very excited about that.

I've written some fun things ... those are the Silhouette Romance titles. I especially liked SNOWBOUND BABY which was book 3 of the Bryant Baby Bonanza series which also included BABY BEFORE BUSINESS and PRINCE BABY. But my favorites for Silhouette
