I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. Wrapped in tragedy and dark topics, the author offers such poignant, heartfelt reflections. The topics of love, loss, and pain are written spectacularly. Very well written.

I really enjoyed this book of poetry by the very talented PJ Bayless. Loved his dark thoughts. Very soul provoking cant wait for his next book.

PJ Bayliss writes about being split in two. He literally lives it. He has two identities. I don't know what he does for his day job but I'm so glad he writes at night. His poems push and pull at you as he holds darkness as his prisoner. He tortures it for torturing him. 'I embrace her flaming shoulder, As my soul pours her desert dry',

I have been a fan of PJ's work ever since I stumbled across him on twitter a couple of years ago and I have to say I have never found his work to be a disappointment and I'm happy to say that this collection hasn't disappointed either! It has to be one of the most thought provoking collections I have ever read, there were times where I felt the pain seep from the page into my heart so much so that one particular poem left me curled up and sobbing like a loon.
