Madison "Sunny" Stone's life was turned upside down when she unexpectedly fell in love with the world's "Sexiest Man Alive" and superstar actor Gabriel Wolf. Being an orphan and a loner, the light that the beautiful and plump screenplay writer has brought into his life is making it hard to let go. Even when she suddenly breaks it off with him after the close call of the life-threatening accident. Gabe refuses to give up hope that they can make it through the storm, but there is someone in the shadows threatening everything he's striving to hold on to.

I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major).
I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book.
So one day out of the blue while in the middle of reading another book, the story that I had started months ago kept bombarding my every thought. Until I couldn't even continue to read the book I was in the middle of. I put down my Nook and picked up my laptop and about fifteen days later, I had finished my first draft of my manuscript. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life. To know that I finally did it. That I finally finished something that I had started. And now I'm and AUTHOR and PUBLISHER! I never would have thought that was possible three months ago. I just hope that everyone that picks up any of the books I write from here on out, enjoy them as much as I did writing them.

1. 2.5 stars. I didn't like the first book in this series all that much and I didn't like this one all that much either. The problem I have with this series is that while I love a HEA, I don't do fairytales. These books were so unbelievable, if you threw in some magic, it could be fantasy.

2. Sunny spent a lot of this series as an insecure, pitiful MC and I hate pitiful female MCs. I don't mind shy, reserved, quiet or submissive female MCs because those are the ones who get turned out in erotic novels. But, Sunny just irked the crap out of me. Gabe did too; they are supposed to be two grown ass people but they sounded like silly college co-eds.

3. This book is full of drama, but little believable angst given the plot. You have insta-love/obsession based on sex, a cartoon villain and an accident that makes the MCs realize how much they love each other. Characters like Donna come around to support Sunny and Gabe just because Gabe gave a page-long monologue professing his feeling (cue one of the million eye-rolls this book induces) despite the fact that there is SO MUCH TO QUESTION with this relationship.

4. This book is full of page-long monologues about nothing. I take that back; these monologues are people confessing their feelings - feelings I didn't feel or even believe - so, I guess it wasn't nothing. These "I love you so much" monologues were not convincing. Nothing about this story is convincing. Or real. Once again, is this contemporary romance or fantasy?

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!! Another winner for me from Ms. Turner. Awe-Struck is book #2 in the Struck Series and I loved every minute of it.

This book still centers on Madison "Sunny" Stone and Hollywood hunk Gabriel Wolf. However, this part of the story really focuses on how Sunny and Gabe are struggling to find some balance in their whirlwind love affair. Sunny is now Gabriel's girlfriend and both of them are at times fighting to find normalcy in their relationship, when the outside world and paparazzi are hounding their every move.

I don't want to go on too long about this story, but it gave me everything! There were paparazzi, accidents, relationship breaks and reunions; love, laughter, fights, crying, some cussing (;-)), jealous co-stars, kidnapping, trampy Hollywood vamps, best friend girl fests, fabulous vacations, getaways and loving (okay, now:-)). Whoo child, this book just left me feeling full and warm and fuzzy and just gave me a good amount of "OMG" and "Awww, that's so sweet," mixed in with some side-eye, sprinkled with some "Oh no he didn't just try it!"

I am loving Ms. Turner's books! I feel like she just has the gift to me and ya'll need to support it! That's it, the end, I am done.

P.S. Can't wait for that new release Twyla, but you already know that.;)

This is the continuation of Sunny and Gabe's story.

The amazing love story continues with more twists and turns and road blocks to Sunny and Gabe's love. They decide to stick together and not let anyone or any forces try to tear them apart.

I love this story because Gabe is a man who truly loves his woman with all he is.

Gabe: "You're doing a phenomenal job, Sweet Girl. You're showing the the country what I see every day; someone funny, bright and adorable. I'm so proud of you".

At last Josiah get's the beat down he deserves from Gabe and I am sorry he was not able to put him down for good!

This is a great read, great love story and had the butterflies fluttering in my tummy every time Gabe demonstrated how much he loved his "Sweet Girl". This is a real romantic story and what I think romance should be about!

Definitely worth the read. Highly recommended!

Perfect Ending!

I held onto Starstruck & Awestruck for months before I read them; I could kick myself for waiting so long to enjoy this beautiful love story!

Sunny & Gabe gave me life; the chemistry, the sassiness, the great dialogue made for a great read! Kudos to the author!

Awe-Struck by Twyla Turner takes us deeper into Sunny and Gabriel's love story. Things have heated up and now, not only are they dealing with the paparazzi and internet trolls, they've also got a case of someone seeking to actively destroy their relationship.

Told with the same humorous, light tone, Awe-Struck pulls the reader along, with Sunny and Gabe's mutual longing for one another, sexy romps in LA and NYC, the promise of a suspenseful situation and even a Dirty Dancing flash mob moment (loved it!).

Picking up where Starstruck left off, we follow the couple through Sunny's recuperation after an accident caused by overzealous paparazzi and what appears to be the demise of their relationship. Gabe is ready to take their relationship to another level, but Sunny--spooked by her accident and the realities of being with someone as sought after as Gabe--breaks it off with him and, upon being released from the hospital, goes home to New Mexico with her parents. Gabe knows he'll have to up his game to get Sunny to change her mind and come back to LA with him. Will his plan succeed? And will Sunny's plan to help Gabe find his birthmother lead to the family reunion she thinks he needs? Well, you'll have to read Awe-Struck to find out. :)

The only thing that knocked me out of the story was the Josiah subplot. It wasn't so much the subplot in itself--it was when we suddenly went into Josiah's point of view. Since he had never been a POV character, going into his head felt unnecessary to the plot. We could have seen everything through Sunny's or Gabe's eyes. If there had been more chapters in Josiah's POV, it would have felt more relevant, but since we only get two or three from his viewpoint, it became intrusive. Also, I wish the suspense of who was stalking Sunny and Gabe had carried through a little longer. It would have added another layer of tension to their relationship that would have been a great way to lead up to the story's climax. Even though the suspense level is good, just a wee bit more would have added even more emotional highs to the story.

But those two issues didn't prevent me from getting sucked in and completely ignoring my husband while we flew home to Stockholm from Salzburg, Austria. And after a while, he was reading over my shoulder, trying to see what would happen next. Gabe and Sunny are a charming and very sexy couple. I wonder if we'll get more of their story...:)

Part two of a two book series about a plus size 30 something woman and a hot movie star with his own insecurities. A cute sweet read with a HEA but nothing extraordinary here.

Pros: the book is not about a perfect 20 yr old beauty and a beautiful male billionaire CEO, the characters are likeable, it is an interracial story that doesn't describe the Black woman as if she was white (e.g., hazel eyes, light caramel skin or barely kissed by the sun, with long straight flowing hair) or make her sound illiterate to define her race, and the race angle was not heavy handed and didn't stereotype the female lead.

Cons: The suspense in the plot was under developed, the dialogue was a little repetitive in places, the description of the characters didn't match their dialogue (by the dialogue you would think they were in their early 20s sd not mid 30s), it is hardly evident that this is an interracial romance based on the very light role race played in the story (this is both a pro and a con), the characters didn't seem to grow very much.

This writer will be interesting to watch as she matures. I recommend this book (really the series) as a quick, easy, no thought required beach read if you like sweet romance novels with a clear HEA.

Wonderful conclusion

What a fitting conclusion to Gabe and Sunny's story? The author has done a great job of making the reader fall in love with their story. I felt every emotion that the author intended for us to feel.

Sunny demonstrated her love for Gabe in many ways, but it was especially touching when she brought his mom into the picture. Gabe showed his love to her everyday and it was a beautiful read.

This is the continuation from star-struck and again this author did not disappoint. Gabe whatta man. A man that knew what he wanted and didn't allow anything to deter him from that goal. Alpha in every way and can lay it down. My girl Sunny evolved and received her happy ever after. I did not want to see this series end it was that good. Until next time Chica, keep writing.

LOVED

I loved that it was a full story. Except for the fact that you must read the first book and continue to the second to finish. But all in all there was completion. I felt fulfilled after reading these two books… which took me about 2-3 days to read on my days off! But it was great!!! I think I smiled throughout both reading of the books. I gave up trying to stop smiling while reading this book. I just loved it!!! Maybe Gabe perhaps needed some anger management classes and therapy to deal with his life growing up… that might have added to the book on mental health issues. But I think this book and the previous one are perfect as is. I find find a few grammatical errors but it wasn’t so much that it deterred me from continuing on. the sex scenes were entertaining as well. I loved how he made her feel confident and loved as she is. I love this Authors style of writing. I’ve read two of her books before but hadn’t realized it until today, as I’m in search of more books to read from her. I wish she was apart of my Audible collection so I can listen as I drive.

Loved this book!

I just discovered this author last weekend and I've been binge reading her books ever since. This is my eighth book and it was phenomenal. I was pretty hesitant to read this book because it a whole actor thing but I'm glad that I did they were such a cute couple. I felt like I was on a roller coaster of love with Gabe and Sunny and I was rooting for them the whole way.

It's so hard to find romance books for the interracial BBW genre that are actually substantive, which I find quite funny since the average size of an American female is a size 14, but I digress. I will admit Ms. Turner is definitely one of my go to authors now. I get warm fuzzy feelings when I read her books. LOL! Keep up the phenomenal work! 👏

And there it is!

I’m so glad that Gabe and Sunny’s story was continued. I gasped, cried, laughed and rode the roller coaster of emotions with them. I’ve said it before, but I relate to Sunny on the level of disbelief that a man can truly love you for you, who you are. Mine, isn’t a movie star millionaire, but he looks at me and makes me feel comfortable within myself. Just as Gabe does for Sunny. I’m glad that Gabe could finally address some of his abandonment issues. What truly laughed out loud at Detective Rhodes’s comment on Josiah’s next starting role would be. Twyla you will be missed, such a great author, gone too soon.

Awe-Struck

After crying through this whole book, I van finally blow my nose and wipe my eyes to write a review. This story was awesome. Josiah brought all his problems on himself, yet he blamed everyone else. Their love was felt on every page in this book. The only complaint was in spots, you threw a little story in between the intimacy. More of my money going to buy this series. By the way, both books were funny. Love them. I am so glad to finally read some "make me not stop reading, interesting, lose yourself in, good books".

Bought this right after reading the first part.

I loved this very much! Gabe and Sunny were a great match together. What she went through was sad. The actor who was on the revenge kick should have been taken down all that he did to Sunny. I loved her parents and it was good that sunny help Gabe connect with his family. I've read several of you books and enjoyed them. I hope you keep continue writing wonderful stories. May you continue to be blessed with a creative mind.

Cute with a little suspense!

I'm glad I gave this book a second chance! I thought the characters originally were very typical of a romance novel. As I move forward in the book I was pleasantly surprised to find heartwarming characters with a sense of humor! I actually would love to see a part 3 of sunny and Gabe as parents and how they're love makes it through some regular married life trouble.

Loved the story!!!

Loved Gabe and Sunny!!!! We saw serious twists and turns before they got to their HEA. I was glad we got at least one fight... that seemed unlikely that they wouldn't have any fights. It was also interesting that his first real gf was IT (but bw are awesome😋), and I was shocked that we didn't hear more from Sophia or her old band mate🤔. But good story overall. Liked the alpha man that wasn't a complete A-hole, fiercely protective and loved his woman.

It's giving fairytale and I ate it up 🥲
Sunny is a plus-size queen and Gabe is a heartthrob and absolutely head over heels in love with her ❤️
Continuing from the first book, they are battling being in the limelight together and the backlash they are receiving. We also had a bad guy in the background that broke up the monotony of the romance (and hot af sex scenes) with a bit of danger.

Oh, Turner 😭😭 missing your writing already!

I’ve Had the Time of My Life

Words cannot adequately convey how much Sunny and Gabe’s journey mean to me. This author has such a flair for dialogue and character development that I feel like the characters are real people with real issues that I could meet at some point in real life. What an amazing modern fairytale! I’m truly awestruck.

Great Read

I really enjoyed Sunny and Gabriel’s love story. Love struck them and no matter what they went through neither gave up. When they went to New York the author made me fall in love with them and I kind of forgot they were fictional characters and not real people. That’s how real the storyline was.

Awe Struck

I gave Awe Struck a Five Star Rating because it was so good and I could relate to her and Gabe. At one point I found myself screaming at Sunny and Gabe. This wasn't just a story, this was real,I remembered how cruel people could be, when you are only trying to be you.We all have faults. I would definitely recommend this book.
Thanks Tells I am a huge fan.

Wonderful!

This book was absolutely wonderful. I read someone's review and it stated that the dialogue sounded like people who were in their twenties and not their late thirties. I will agree with that but it did not take away from the story. This book made me laugh and cry like a baby. Wonderful read.

Book 2 of 2

The conclusion to Star Stuck picks up where book 1 left off. Gabriel refuses to let Sunny go and makes it clear to her and everyone else.

Most of this book is the HEA portion of the story, some of which is rushed through with a lot of exposition, which comes off as fluff. With the length of both books (under 200 pages), this story really could have been one book.

Loved it

After reading Love struck. I immediately had to have Awe-Stuck. I loved the main characters and how they came together through it all the hardships bought on because of the paparazzi and the villain in the story. Sunny and Gabe were a joy to read about.
