Take a Chance, book 1, Kiss a Girl in the Rain is our first meeting with the Chance's children.
I don't usually go for romance books that are not steamy but I liked the sound of this series and I am really pleased that I gave it a go.

Evan is likeable and sweet but also strong and adventurous, and it is instant attraction when he meets Caitlyn Sorenson,  an independent, interesting, small town doctor. I really liked the circumstances under which they met an

I found this novel (170 pages) on the Kindle Store for free and so I thought I would give it a try. I thought that this was a very sweet romantic lovestory, that will instantly give you a lift when you read it. It is very well written and shows how talented Nancy Warren is by how she manages to get the reader involved in the lovestory between the characters and really makes you feel like they are real

You know when you see a book for free on Kindle, and even though it looks like it may be a bit fluffy, you think - "I could do with a bit of escapism after all the zombies and wars and post-apocalyptic crime and missing women I've been reading about lately?" and your gut tells you - don't, it's free for a reason, DON'T...

Listen to your gut.

The main reason this caught my eye was because of the title - "Kiss a Girl in the Rain" is one of the items on main character Evan's bucket list, the one he

I was so lucky to win a copy of "Kiss a Girl in the Rain (Take a Chance:Book 1). I feel so good after reading this book."Kiss a Girl in the Rain" is a supersweet lovestory of a young man of age 35 who goes looking for adventure and finds love. Normally I read mystery suspense thrillers and some contemporary romance novels, but this novel was a refreshing change from the norm.

I loved the concept of the story before I even started reading it. The book reminded me of the movie "The Bucket List". Wh

Evan Chance has just turned 35, and his life has just blown up around him.

He was a successful lawyer in Oregon, being mentored by the managing partner who expected Evan would eventually succeed him, and engaged to beautiful, smart, ambitious fellow attorney Tessa. Then his mother sent him the "life goals list" he wrote when he was twelve, his mentor died suddenly, and he discovered how nakedly ambitious Tessa really was.

He decided he couldn't get out of there fast enough. He takes a sabbatical,

Kiss a Girl in the Rain by Nancy Warren is about Evan who is a very rich man in a successful law career who wrote a Life List about what he wants to do when he was young. After his mother had given him the list, he decided to achieve all this points in his bucket list. But after an accident he is stuck in a small town where he meets Caitlyn, a wonderful woman.

This book was a very light read. It is not very long and the story is not very complex. Evans Life Bucket List is something I always wante

When he made the decision to take charge of his life was when the story of Evan Chance really began. He found freedom on the road and an unneeded set of complications to his plan to ride c

In the opening chapter we are given a picture of Evan as the hard-core corporate lawyer. The next chapter he’s at his childhood home, which does a good job of showing us how different his two worlds are. When his mentor at the law firm dies, it’s the catalyst (along with an old ‘bucket list’ he wrote when he was twelve) for Evan to leave his job and embark on a cross-country motorcycle ride. I didn’t really get why he was close to the older lawyer, when he apparently still had reservations about ...more

This was a pretty good book. I'm going with 3 1/2. I would probably read it again, but I wouldn't search and rescue it. I liked the characters and would definitely like to get to know the others more. This was written well, had emotions, some humor, strength, introspection, good side characters and the perfect HEA. This is a great comfy cocoa kinda read to curl up with during the cold or after a hectic day. Enjoy!

To Kiss a Girl in the Rain is one of the items on Evan Chance's Amazing Life List that he wrote at age 12 and started at age 35. In a few hundred miles he stopped after a dog ran in front of his motorcycle and it needed repairs. He took the dog to Caitlyn Sorenson, MD and found what he was looking for when he started his adventure.

The book is full of fun, good friends, helping others and making new friends. Evan works on learning Spanish, helps his new Spanish instructor with a legal problem, fi

I recieved this book in my mail yesterday. I started reading it this morning, and now, it's finished (and in the mean time I have also done some shoping, studying and socializing). "Kiss a Girl in the Rain" is a supersweet lovestory of a young man of age 35 who goes looking for adventure and finds love.

Okey, that sounds really cliche. It might be that way, I suspected the book to be that way in the beginning, but it ended up being a totally fine book. Nothing really predictable at all. Where I s

I loved this book! It’s such a beautiful love story and is so well written that I had to pry myself away from it to get some sleep. The story flows so smoothly, and the emotions of love, lust, sexual tension, grief and loss make you feel like you’re in the book.

Told via a dual point of view between the two main characters; Evan and Caitlyn. They are both very likeable and through the dual point

Cute story.

Successful and wealthy Evan Chance turns 35 and his mother gives him the "life list" that he wrote when he was 12 and he realizes that he hasn't accomplished anything he wanted to. He gives up his career to travel by motorcycle across the country. He's not even out of the state when he accidentally hits a stray dog in a small town. Caitlyn helps him and in turn they start a relationship.

I am also glad that he realized that their is more to life than working all the time. This is Tate and Caitlyn's adventure. I enjoyed this contemporary romance with a good mix of plot, action, pace and romance. It was lust then love at first sight but for the story length it worked. I liked that the main characters took a realistic look at the important values in life. Workaholic attorney Evan takes a break for motorcycle trip and meets small town doctor Caitlyn.

I didn't care for this book much at all. The ending was short and there were too many steamy scenes for my taste. If it wasn't that this book was short, and worked for a challenge I was doing, I wouldn't have finished it.

Very good

This is the first book that I have read BG this author, and you better believe I will be reading more. Evan Is a lawyer who discovers there's more to life than just sitting in his office all day. He came across a list that he wrote when he was 12. He decided to leave his job behind and set off on his adventure. This is a must read.

Enjoyable read!

I really enjoyed this book! At first, it almost seemed like a rehash of the movie Doc Hollywood. But it ended up with a few more plot twists and turns, and was such an enjoyable read and characters so likable, I just couldn't put it down. I've been reading some "deeper" stories, so this was a nice change of pace and a sweet (but not too sappy) romance!
