Hidden Falls – An Exciting New 13-Part Serial Novel from Shiloh Run Studios

Thirty years of small-town secrets—now the key to the mystery is gone. The small town of Hidden Falls is abuzz. Former students, friends, and loved ones are prepping for tonight's big event to honor Ted Quinn's many years of compassionate service. Quinn is reluctant about a night in the spotlight--but is tenderly prodded by Sylvia, mayor of Hidden Falls and Quinn's dearest friend and confidante.

Ethan and Nicole won't let the shadows of their pasts stop them from returning to Hidden Falls--but only for Quinn--no matter how much it hurts. Liam, a former student, and Jack, a town newcomer, are both hoping the night works toward their own gain--or, if they'll admit it, their chance for redemption. Like Quinn, Dani and Lauren are mainstays in Hidden Falls. They keep close to home--and have secrets to keep close, too.

Now it's time. The guests are seated, introductions are made, the spotlight shines on center stage...and the unthinkable leaves the entire town scrambling for the truth.

Hello!

I’m imagining you. You walk past as I water my front flowerbeds and we wave. You check the time as we both stand in a long line at the grocery store. You sit in front of me in church. I’m at my table in the coffee shop and you’re at yours.

We may smile politely and move on with our separate lives. Or one of us may speak, a simple invitation to conversation, and the words flow between us.

Here the adventure begins. When we meet someone new, we never know where it might lead.

I’ve been married over 40 years and have two adult kids and a son-in-law. We live in stunning Colorado at the foot of the Rockies, where the day lilies in my back yard grow as tall as I am. (No short jokes, please.)

Not every piece of my life is pretty, though. Some days I want to throw out whole chunks. But I am living each day looking for the grace of God to me, in me, and through me. Having your companionship along the way will help uncover a lot of great stories.

We have been spending more times with Jack lately, and maybe my original opinion of him is flawed, he has gone out of character and helped his younger daughter. His older daughter does seem to need extra help, and she may have found her answer.
How much longer can Ethan blow off his residency and still keep it? While I do not have a good opinion of Liam, the author has brought to light some facts that are going to keep you addicted to this read.
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Barbour and was not required to give a positive review.

I am really enjoying the episodic nature of this series. Each episode you become more and more involved with the people and the story. Like Jack -- I started not liking him, and then moved toward liking, and now the pendulum is shifting back in the other direction. Liam has had me wondering what I really thought of him, and now I feel really sorry for him. If you like a good story, you will like this 13-episode series (at least the first 7).

My Review: Hidden Falls: Yesterday's Promise - Episode 7 by Olivia Newport

4 stars

I want more. These are too short! Leaves me wanting more right now and not waiting till next week or next week.

There is some new clues that could be good news, but not sure yet. Lots more questions that I want answers too.
I like the characters and want to know lots more about them.

Hidden Falls is a small town. A teacher named Quinn disappeared in the middle of an event to honor him. Later his car was found wrecked. Quinn made a difference in a lot of peoples lives. Former students have come back to honor him.

Nicole Sandquist was a young girl that Quinn helped a lot after her mother died. She is a reporter and plans to help find Quinn.
But she broke her foot and is side tract from doing all she wants too do. Her former high school boyfriend Ethan has come back to say thanks to Quinn. Nicole still cares for Ethan. She is staying at Lauren's apartment because she has elevator in her building and spare guest room.

Ethan Jordan MD has issues with his parents not caring about him in school. Quinn was a neighbor who helped him a lot and supported him and encouraged him. Ethan is on 5 years of a 6 year as a neurosurgeon. His bosses did not want him to even taken the weekend off at last minute. He wants to be their for Quinn and Lauren. He let Lauren go while he was in college but you can still see that they care for each other. Nicole & Lauren keep talking him into doing things to help find Quinn.

Lauren Nock works for her church. She is a couple of years younger than Ethan & Nicole. Quinn has been dating her Aunt Sylvia for decades. She opened her home to help Nicole when she broke her foot so bad. She is very caring and helpful to those in need. She is putting on a health fair and Quinn was organizing a lot of it so she has to try and figure out what he had planned.

Sylvia Alexander 54 is Mayor of Hidden Falls. She has been best friends with Quinn for years. She had hoped he would ask her to marry him years ago. She owns a shop on main street that was broken into and trashed. Everyone keeps calling her with questions about the things going on around town right now.

Liam Elliott investment consultant has had some money in his business accounts stolen. He has not told anyone about what he has found. Someone is blackmailing him though.

Jack a lawyer in town has not been in Hidden Falls for too long. He wants to find new cases that are interesting and tries to make friends too hard.

I like this series. The prices have gone down on the episodes now which makes it a better deal.
Also Hidden Falls facebook has been having contests and interesting facts about the series on it.

I will keep reading this series. I like Olivia Newport's books. They are clean and well written.

I was given this ebook to read for purpose of giving a honest review by Netgalley and Barbour Publishing.

It seems that those who care about finding out the truth about Quinn, may be one step closer as Ethan, Nicole and Lauren break into Quinn's house to try and find some clues on where he could be or at least an idea of what has happened to him. In doing so, they comandeer his PC computer and take it to Lauren's apartment. However , it seems that Quinn's PC doesn't like the change of environment and won't turn on. So Ethan knowing they will need the help of an expert and someone who also cares about Quinn, enlists the help of Dani. With Dani's help the four of them discover that Quinn's bank card has been used a few times earlier that week in St. Louis. Has Quinn taken off without letting anyone know where or how he is ? Liam has been on edge all week with the mysterious amounts of money disappearing from the accounts , at first I thought it was he who had embezzled the money for some reason or another but revealed in Episode #7 - the truth is revealed and will surprise readers. Also the readers were left at the end with the question of what was in the box that Quinn left Sylvia twenty years ago for safekeeping and the question of whether it is connected or not to his disappearance.

This is the perfect serial for those who love Christian fiction as well as the hint of suspense and mystery. Not to mention, the best thing is because it is a serial - each episode is like reading a short story - nice and quick and a fast and easy read.

I quickly realized that I am not a fan of the serial - where another portion of the story is released each week. I've never been a fan of cliffhangers ... I'm just too impatient. Instead, I decided to wait for several to come out and then read them together.

Episodes 6-10
I really got into the story during Episodes 6-8. I think it helps that these are not quite as much about introducing the characters, but are instead moving the story along. Of course, I like some characters better than others, and it seems that some of my favorites are taking center stage. Episodes 9-10 seemed to be dragging a little, but that is often the case with a novel. Every part can't be action-packed!

I received a free copy of this book from Barbour Publishing through Net Galley in exchange for my fair and honest review.

I love this series and Olivia Newport keeps you guessing without any boredom the books always end to soon, waiting for the next installment keeps the week ticking over nicely when you know you can sink into a hot bath and tune into hidden falls, not too many characters to sink you mind into, just enough for the reader to have a favorite.the anticipation of waiting for the secrets of hidden fall is slowly unwrapped each week and twist and turns are unexpected,Always say that this would make a great series for Sunday night TV. this is worth having in a readers book collection.

This episode has a little more action as some clues are uncovered. There appears to be something in Quinn's past he is hiding. And Dani, thanks to Ethan and Nicole, finds out that Quinn's debit card has been used. So we are getting a little deeper into the intrigue.
I do like the series and each episode has kept my interest. See my full review at http://bit.ly/1htPKXH.
I received a complimentary egalley of this episode from the publisher for review.

Good series. Simple read. Kept my interest without challenging my brain. It's a series of "chapters" sold individually for $1.99 Clever way to sell a book.

And the mystery continues. I knew Jessica was up to no good. Liam deserves better. Jack still do not like. Dani a little to abrupt for my liking. Cannot wait for next installment.
