First, I really feel that readers should read the first book in this series, and see some of the interaction between Olivia and Dylan in the first book. Then you will understand why the book opens with such an intense, hot scene. Plus, the first book in this series is HOT.

Second, I'm going to apologize for the brevity of this review. However, while this book is not bad...neither is it something that has stayed with me after I finished. I had to look at the synopsis above to even remember the her

This was a quick, fun and sexy read... writing was good and I really liked the couple. I had not read any of the previous books in this series and I think it would have been better if I had. Then maybe I would have been a little more invested into their finally coming together. It also would've been nice to know the backstories to some of the other characters.
I also need to add... and I feel really silly saying this... but I actually didn't pay close enough attention to the blurb and went into

Yet another good romance. Off to read #4!

Sometimes love takes determination, patience, honesty and letting go of the past. If you are Carly Phillips, you will add explosive chemistry, two strong personalities, and steam, lots of scorching hot steam and come up with Dare to Touch. Olivia Dare and Dylan Rhodes have chemistry, but both have lived through a lot of pain to get where they are today. Dylan has decided that it was time to make his move on Olivia and did so like a linebacker barreling in for the tackle!Olivia is terrified of be ...more

If you love sports novels as well as contemporary romances and family sagas with a bit of suspense chucked into the midst of it , then Carly Phillips's Dare Series has everything you need. I fell in love with this series after reading Book #1 and Book #5 Dare to Touch lives up to the expectation of the previous books in the series. This one focuses on one of the Dare sisters from the "first family" Olivia. It starts off with her birthday and of course , the one person she hoped would be there, ...more

Olivia and Dylan keep you blissfully wrapped in the fifth instalment of the Dare To Love series. A story that was absorbing with delightful characters mixed with some questionable characters in a read that didn't shy away from drama and emotions shown by the characters. Lots of sizzling scenes between Olivia and Dylan and Dylan's character was an absolute sweetheart :D This is the Carly Phillips writing that we know and relish!

So far for me, this series gets better with each book, the first one I wasn't a huge fan of but the second was a major improvement, and this one is up to their with book two. I loved the relationship between Dylan and Olivia, I thought that it was great seeing their interactions with each other in previous books, so I was glad to finally read their book. I do feel that previous books might have been a little more misleading, to me their interactions in other books it seemed like they had a more ...more

Carly Phillips does it again in this fifth installment of her Dare to Love series. Dare to Touch focuses on Olivia Dare, executive director, and Dylan Rhodes, the travel director for the Thunder. We see glimpses, albeit brief, of both characters in a few of the other books and are able to briefly see who they are and the attraction they have for one another. But THIS book, oh my *fans face*, Dylan begins it with letting his inner alpha male come out and play.

The story opens with Olivia celebrat

Pain and suffering
Alpha male

In suffering you can find your true path when they ease the pain inside your heart

Olivia Dare, executive director of the Miami Thunder, and team travel director, Dylan Rhodes share more than just a passion for football–their chemistry is explosive and their feelings for each other are intense. But Olivia is wary of any man getting too close. Given her background – a near-bigamist dad and an ex-boyfriend who merely enforced her lack of priority in

There are deep dark scars in Olivia's past. Ones that only her family know of and that aren't readily spoken about. These are part of the same scars that keep her from the man that she is beyond attracted to. She knows that she can't do a relationship, but when given thought of having a bit of fun it's another story.

Dylan has wanted Olivia since the first time he saw her. He knows that she's attracted to him. The chemistry can be felt a mile away, but she fights it tooth and nail. He doesn't kno

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the fifth in the series, and to my mind is the best yet. The underlying plot is in some ways similar to the others, but somehow the story unfolded perfectly. It was also more closely aligned with the sports elements that I enjoy a lot. We know from book 1 that there is some history and chemistry between Dylan and Olivia, so it is not a surprise that they get their story, but how it plays out is scorchingly hot, and

I really really REALLY heart Olivia and Dylan!

Dylan was the epitome of an alpha male with a gooey inside LOL He was charming and sweet and persistent and never ever gave up! Olivia has had a tough time of it with the male species in her past. She hasn't had the best of luck not only with relationships, but with her own father. She's scared out of her mind to open herself up Dylan but Dylan manages to breath life back into Olivia. Into the passionate woman she deserves to be. And together they

Dylan is such a typical man when it comes to sex and not keeping his hands off his woman, "thank God, because he thought his c*** was going to explode. "You're up for more?" He's the type of man who can't go a day without seeing his woman, "I haven't seen you since yesterday, you're here now...so lock the door." He's also the type of man who knows how to give in to his woman's demands, "baby, I went to the nearest mini-mart at eleven p.m. last night looking for mint chocolate chip ice cream. It' ...more

It was good and at the same time I felt some parts were exaggerated a bit too much. I couldn't connect well with the characters in this book. However, I really did like the previous two books. I couldn't point out exactly what it was, but something felt missing.

I love reading about the Dare's siblings. I really enjoyed getting to know about Olivia and Dylan. They were perfect for each other. I loved how they each could count on one another. Such a beautiful story.

I absolutely love the Dare family! i love how Olivia's brothers look out and support her and Avery. Both Olivia and Dylan are sizzling together. And the "beef" they have with their father's "other children" is out of control. Before I move on to book # 4, I believe I will re-read book # 1. I miss Ian and the rest of the crew!

I'm torn on this story. It wasn't bad, it just didn't really leave a memorable impression on me. And it kind of dragged a bit.

I didn't read the previous in this series and while I've seen some reviews state you should so the other characters as well as how Dylan and Olivia know one another is better understood, I didn't feel like I missed anything.

From the gist, Olivia's father is a philanderer who kept two families for most of Olivia's life until he was outed. Obviously his legitimate famil

It’s always so easy to slip into a story from Carly Phillips and I have truly enjoyed the Dare series from the start. Dare To Touch shows us that although Olivia Dare has made peace with her father’s illegitimate siblings she still suffers from abandonment and trust issues brought on by his deceit and that of a college boyfriend. Thankfully her co-worker Dylan Rhodes is a very, very patient man and one that is determined to break down a

First off if you aren't familiar with this series then be aware that you can read each book as a stand alone, but for maximum reading pleasure I suggest that you read the other books before you read this one. I just want to say that I love this series. My favorite type of book to read is one where I can just enjoy the couple. I don't have to worry about ex boy/girlfriends. I don't have to worry about drugs, cheating, and that dark stuff that is so often written about. This is a story that has re ...more

Carly Phillips is one of my favorite authors and I was more than ready to dive back into the Dare family and all of their antics. Olivia Dare has suffered a lot of heartbreak in her life, but through all the betrayal she knows that her brothers and sisters will always be there for her. So when the rest of her family starts to settle down and start families, Olivia is left wondering if fighting off Dylan Rhodes is worth it any more.

Dylan knows the intense attraction between he and Olivia can only

I love this series! Each book brings something new to it and it just keeps getting better and better honestly. This book was off the charts steamy and totally had an alpha male who will make you swoon at his sweetness and persistence.

This is Olivia and Dylan's story! Dylan and Olivia work together and are friends but Dylan wants more. Olivia has been burned in the past and is scared to open up again. Sure she wants to get hot in between the sheets with Dylan but she doesn't want to risk

When I met Dylan and Olivia in book 1, I thought that they had a thing going on. In book 5 we learn their story, and boy what a story. Up till book 5, (yeah I am getting too vested with these fictional characters) Dylan has been fighting his attraction to Olivia. Not wanting to get involved with someone at work. However it seems that the Dare’s have managed to keep their working and sexual relationships just fine. So at Olivia’s birthday party he makes his move to claim Olivia

This is a great series of standalones, but better if you read the series in order for full backstories. *see below* I love the Dare family, what a complex developed group of characters. This book is the story of Olivia & Dylan, they work together and once she realizes and attempts to overcome her trust/abandonment issues they can play together . Can see overcome these issues to have a HEA? Is he Mr. Right? This story is well written and Carly never disappoints... there is hot steamy sex and ...more

Dare to Touch by Carly Phillips is the fifth book in her Dare To Love series. An absolutely phenomenal romance series about the Dare family and their uber-interesting lives.

Anyone familiar with the series will have seen, and hoped for, this story coming since the inception of the series. Both Olivia and Dylan have painful pasts and demons. Olivia is perfectly fine keeping her demons under wraps and her past deeply buried. Dylan is determined to change that. He wants Olivia and he's in it for the
