Blood and Fire by Tori L. Ridgewood
Book #2: The Talbot Trilogy
Purchase
Rating: 5/5 stars

Bloody. Crappin’. Hell. Tori L. Ridgewood pulls no punches with round two of The Talbot Trilogy and, in fact, she comes out swinging with some serious action, some serious character development and, one really exciting read. In all, Blood and Fire is a totally character-driven read that is complimented by an ever-evolving plot that is both intricate and interesting. Since you know how much I love characters, I

Review: 4.5 stars

General: Blood and Shadows is a great book 2 from Tori Ridgewood filled with hot scenes, intense action and a wonderfully engaging plot. Please note that this book picks up directly after book 1 and cannot be read alone.

Blood and Shadows is an extremely different book than the first. The first was all about relationship building and plot setting. This boo

Rayvin Woods had to give herself over a powerful vampire to save the people that she loves most, and she is being used for the sole purpose of creating half vampire-half witch children. She has tried to reach out to the Society of Hunters and Investigators of the Paranormal, also known as S.H.I.P. to help with the very powerful vampire. Rayvin is also hoping Charlotte comes back home

Blood and Fire is the second book in The Talbot Trilogy and picks up right where Wind and Shadow left off. That being said, it is probably a good idea to read the first book before you read this one. I also recommend that you read this book if you've already read Wind and Shadow because it introduces new elements, characters, and even more questions! I did enjoy Blood and Fire and found quite a few things interesting about it.

Rayvin is back as well as some other well known characters. Things ar

Oh, Tori, no! You left book two with as much of a cliffhanger as you did book one! I can't believe you did it twice! Blood and Fire is the sequel to Wind and Shadow. When we last saw our beloved Rayvin, she has lost Grant, been bound to the vampire de Sade, and had no idea where help would come from next.

In the follow-up book, Rayvin finds herself practically addicted to de Sade between the sheets. I'm not really sure how one can despise a man with such burning and still be addicted to sex with

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Blood and Fire is the second book in The Talbot Trilogy, and it's action-packed with shapeshifters, vampires, and witches. This book picks up where book one, Wind and Shadow ended, so be sure to read it first. Now the hard part. How to review a book two without spoilers from both books?

Many new characters are introduced in this second book. What's interesting is that the chapters alternate between the characters, telling diffe

Paranormal Romance & Authors That Rock asked me to read this for my honest review. Rayvin handed herself over to the vampire De Sade to keep her lover Grant safe from harm. In Blood and Fire, Rayvin awaits for help from the Counselor to destroy De Sade and free those he has turned. There are so many things happening in this book. Almost like 4 different stories being told simultaneously then merging into one climactic ending. I don't want to give too much away because there is so much going ...more

Witch Rayvin Woods is the lover of the ancient vampire Malcolm De Sade, who wants to breed with a witch in order to create a new breed of vampire hybrid. Rayvin’s friends and her home town are overrun by De Sade’s people. Rayvin only went with De Sade to save the man she loves from a fate worse than death. In BLOOD AND FIRE, Rayvin is trying to subtly get away from De Sade, but she is thwarted at every turn. She’s sent out a cry for help, hoping that anyone who shows up will not be too late. I had a great time writing this novel. In the second instalment of the Talbot Trilogy, the characters really began to branch out, and I was able to introduce two new members of our supernatural cast. I enjoyed the directions the plot took, the darkness of the book, and the hope that rises throughout. I like the pacing and the structure of the sections, as well, conveying the turbulence and madness taking over the little town in Northeastern Ontario as the vampires gain control. It feels disloyal ...more

The second book in the Talbot Trilogy is a mesmerizing paranormal read that keeps the adrenaline pumping. The author has created a fascinating paranormal story that sends chills up the spine and the captivating characters and their stories really inspire curiosity. I can’t wait to read the outcome of this thrilling battle. It is really best that the Talbot Trilogy be read in order starting with the prequel as the battle continues through each book.

I have read and reviewed this first book in the The Talbot Trilogy and I absolutely liked it so much so when I was was asked to review Blood and Fire I just to accept and I am so happy I did because I love this one as much as I loved the first book.

Blood and Fire is well written and I was hooked from the very beginning. So far I know I will read these books over again in the near future and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this trilogy.

Follow Rayvin's struggle with her new life following her regrettable decision at the end of Wind and Shadow while she waits and desperately hopes for help to arrive from somewhere. A few intriguing new characters arrive and we discover more about the evil de Sade's background, too.

Blood and Fire is an excellent follow-up to Wind and Shadow. I can't wait for the final instalment!

I give this book 4 1/2 stars. I loved how almost each chapter showed the progress different groups were making on their journey to Talbot.

I can't wait to read the next book.

After her first heartbreak, Tori found solace in two things: reading romance novels and listening to an after-dark radio program called Lovers and Other Strangers. Throughout the summer and fall of 1990, the new kid in town found reading fiction and writing her own short stories gave her a much needed creative outlet. Determined to become a published author, Tori amassed stacks of notebooks and bo ...more
