I had the absolute privilege of reading this book for line edits, and I can't tell you how heart-wrenchingly beautiful it is. Rachel's writing has always amazed me, but with this novel she has outdone herself. The characters are as confusing yet genuine as ever, the story pulls you along and makes you fall in love, hate, fear, and despair with each person as you learn more about their pasts and futures.

I honestly can't say enough fantastic things about this book. If you enjoyed the first two th

Still suffering a hangover from finishing this last night, so this review may be full of feels.

So, so good. Mikel and Aura broke my heart. Tev broke my heart. Loved Kierstaz and Sark. Wanted to shove a knife through Behret's heart. Or lower. I smiled, I cried. I laughed, I cried. I sighed, I cried. This totally wrung out all of my emotions. And I can't wait for the next book.

Rachel O’Laughlin grew up writing adventure stories on an archaic laptop that only ran one program, couldn’t connect to the internet, and died every few days—which provided a nice excuse to use a typewriter in the middle of an epic murder scene. After high school, she pushed novels to the backburner for immersion in the arts, touring with her band, and a hands-on education in sustainable living. A ...more
