Clear, concise, and easy to read, BREASTFEEDING Keep It Simple answers the breastfeeding questions parents and their families ask most often. Amy Spangler's warmth and knowledge are evident throughout the book. She gives parents confidence in their ability to breastfeed and makes breastfeeding simpler and easier for the whole family.
"Breastfeeding" is a book that teaches about all the benefits, and techniques of breastfeeding in a simplified way. It also gives tips about preventing SIDS and keeping pumped breast-milk fresh. This book is an easy, fun read with many pictures, diagrams and graphs. It answered every question I have ever had about breastfeeding and more. If you are interested in breastfeeding and want to know more about breastfeeding in a simple sufficient way this is the book to read. I was a little nervous about breastfeeding before I read this book, but after reading this book I have more confidence that everything will work out just fine. I would recommend this book every parent or soon to be parent.
This is a great intro read for mothers, but it left many of my questions unanswered. I don't like when informative books state not to do something but don't explain why. Still worthwhile, but only the tip of the iceberg!
Surprised by the low ratings. It's simple, as the title suggests. Super easy read for general information. She also has a more thorough book for specifics, but I appreciated this book's simplicity.
It was like reading an extended information pamphlet. It contained all the basic information on breastfeeding and newborn care that a first time mother would need to know, however it doesn't go into a lot of detail on any of the topics that it covers and the writing was lacking in tone. It was very simple, clinically dry writing. It was an ok resource, especially since it was given to me for free at the doctor's office, but it's not the one stop resource I'm looking for.
