A great series that still holds up on a 30+ years later that's a classic
This novel killed a few hours and was an incredibly easy read, but I wouldn't say that it was the most enthralling graphic novel that I have read. It felt all drama and no substance. All flamboyance and no emotional or gripping content.
Matt Wagner creates a very interesting aesthetic for his heroic adventure tale. His inexperience definitely shows, but this early work is still a great start to what will be an amazing body of work in comics.
