This isn’t my usual read but I really enjoyed it. Engaging storyline and characters with a nicely thought out plot. Nothing too complicated but enough to sustain interest.
This book is a slow burner, but the poetic and beautiful prose of the author continues. JB gets an ASBO in which he has to move away from home and lives with his uncle in a caravan painting beach huts. The change of scenery from a busy London town to a sleepy beach community and from "friends" he had to a group of teenagers that he is on the periphery of, this is a social commentary on teenage life.
