Quite much fun and a whirlwind of situations.
Kelly has a problem again - this time Maggie hid her friend from school - Jenny, who ran away from home.
As usually, one thing leads to another and Kelly has on her lap the whole situation with both Jenny, and her abused mother Mona (wife of a drug dealer).
What's obvious - that story leads to a bigger picture, one of a drug ring operating in Kelly's beloved Fairmount. And so, the rest of the characters becomes involved - including Mike (now a Narc de

A busy schedule raising two daughters and restoring historic old homes in Fort Worth can't keep Kelly O'Connell from sticking her nose in some places where it could get bit off. When drug dealers make inroads into her beloved Fairmount neighborhood, she can't help herself and starts poking around, despite orders from her police officer husband to butt out.
Judy Alter has created a colorful cast of characters - a mysterious hermit woman, a chatty friend who shoots from the lip, and a young runaway

Kelly O'Connell returns to her devoted readers in Danger Comes Home, the fourth book in the series that began with Skeleton in a Dead Space. In the first novel we met Kelly as a single mom with two small daughters, Maggie, 12, and Em, 9; now she's married to Mike Shandy, detective with the Narcotics Squad, who adores her yet often finds his main objective is keeping Kelly out of trouble.

Kelly is lovable, smart, highly energetic, a great mom and wife, as well as a talented realtor who loves resto

Kelly O'Connor is a mother, a wife, and a real estate salesperson, with a nose for trouble. Kelly is lucky in that she has some very good friends who help out in a pinch and Mike Shandy, her husband, is a police officer who lends a hand when necessary.

Kelly's current project is attempting to convince reclusive diva Lorna McDavid to allow her to list Lorna's residence or at least remodel. So far the only thing she has convinced Lorna of is that Kelly is more than capable of doing her grocery shop

I really liked this installment in the series. The story held my interest and I finished it in a couple of days. I especially liked that the main character, Kelly, actually was not as snobby and bull-headed as she had been in the last book. She still has a problem keeping a confidence and I had to laugh at how she actually wanted her husband to tell her about undercover operations. This seem like it may be the last of the series, but I'm hoping for at least one or two more.

Great reading

The reason I chose this rating was, despite Kelly always leaving her gun behind when you just knew she was going to need it, the story was well written and easy to follow and I'm really looking forward to the next in the series.
