Kenneth “Mensa” Ragstone has street-smarts in spades. As a member of the Riot MC, he’s survived by trusting his gut—and it’s screaming that Whitney Blume spells trouble. From the moment their paths cross, she sets him on edge. The more he avoids her, the more he runs into her. That’s a red flag Mensa won’t ignore. His Riot MC brothers say he’s overreacting—she’s just a new woman in town. But Mensa earned his road name by trusting his intuition. She’s everything he doesn’t want in a woman. So why can’t he stop thinking about her?
Whitney Blume isn’t looking for trouble—or bikers. She has a type: good guys, clean-cut, funny, and friendly. Everything Mensa isn’t. After a career-ending betrayal, the former FBI agent is keeping a low profile and reconsidering her life. But staying out of trouble proves difficult when her sassy attitude and undeniable attraction to Mensa pull her closer to the world of Riot MC. After an ambush at the Twisted Talons bar turns deadly, Mensa and Whitney barely escape. With the vice president of a rival MC hunting them, they take refuge in a roadside hotel. One room. One bed. And a lot of unresolved tension. Giving in is inevitable, but their one night of passion sparks something deeper—and deadlier. They return only to find the rival MC is targeting Whitney, and Mensa will stop at nothing to protect her. When his woman is abducted, Mensa does whatever it takes to get her back, but will it be enough?
Karen Renee is the author of the Riot Motorcycle Club, Beta, and O-Town series of books. She once crunched Nielsen ratings data but these days she brings her imagination to life by writing books. She has wanted to be a writer since she was very young, but it’s taken the last twenty plus years for her to amass enough courage and overall life experience to bring that dream to life. Some of those life experiences came from the wonderful world of advertising, banking, and local television media research. She is a proud wife and mother, and a Jacksonville native. When she’s not at the soccer field or cooking, you can find her at her local library, the grocery store, in her car jamming out to some tunes, or hibernating while she writes and/or reads books.
Mensa has definitely met his match! Sure, he’s been denying it. Dancing around it. And refusing to admit that he really wants Whitney. But when the danger comes a little too close for comfort, he’s done denying how he feels. Luckily, Whitney is also over denying her own feelings, so one night should get it out of their systems. Right?
Wrong. One night isn’t enough. One week isn’t. And Mensa comes to terms with that fast. Then he sets about convincing Whitney, which is no easy feat. She’s so sure that she’s not in the right mindset, that he’s not truly meaning what he says, that she almost misses out. Almost. Whitney’s not dumb, though, so she starts listening and watching and absorbing how Mensa is around her. What lengths he’d go to in the name of protecting the woman he loves. And he also communicates in a way that leaves nothing to speculation or chance.
Even when it all comes to a head, Mensa is 100% concerned about Whitney first and foremost. So while I sort of wanted to rattle some sense into a certain meddling sibling, I also adored how both Mensa and Whitney handle the deliberate bias and the fact that they have love and a mom on their side.
Now I wait for more. Because it’s coming. And I’m pretty sure the next one to fall isn’t expecting it one bit!
This is the 9th book in this phenomenal series and this is Kenneth / Mensa and Whitney’s story. From the moment that Mensa sees Whitney, who is sassy, smart, and friendly, he does not trust her as he senses she is trouble. Whitney is a former FBI agent who resigned after a career ending betrayal, and she just wants to keep a low profile, and get a fresh start. These two try to avoid each other, but when danger come to haunt them, Mensa is determined to keep Whitney safe and protected. This is a well written action packed story, with found family, friendships, emotions, survival, opposites attract, trust, danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, romance, challenges, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, and unpredictable, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Oh Em Gee this is a fantastic book!! I couldn’t put it down!! And would give it more stars if I could! Mensa has definitely met his match in Whitney and if you read “Finn’s Fury” you already know about sparks flying when these two are anywhere near each other!! Whitney is passionate and giving and strong and will NOT back down no matter what. If you are in her circle you are in her circle. Mensa tries so hard to fight the building chemistry between them even goes as far to try to tell his cousin Riley to stay away - not that it does any good. This book is full of tough mc men, tough women, turf wars, shoot outs, kidnapping, attacks and an overprotective family.
Mensa is a member of the Riot MC and Whitney has just resigned from the FBI. She had crossed paths with the club and Mensa before. You know when two people try to avoid each other it won’t take much for the “explosion” between them to happen. They thought it would be a one and done but that was far from the case.
This was an awesome book filled with action and drama. I love Mensa and Whitney and so glad they got their HEA.
Great book! Could not put it down! Whitney and Mensa are explosive when they get together and before, just in a different way lol. They have such chemistry that neither of them realizes. When they finally hook up, it’s more than either realize. A great addition to this series! I absolutely love this series!
They say, whoever “They” are, that there is a fine line between love and hate. Boy is that the case with Mensa and Whitney. Whitney, is the former FBI agent, has been a thorn in Mensa’s side since she showed up. He’s never trusted her and deep down knows she’s trouble. Mensa has alway been on Whitney radar. She wanted nothing more that put him in handcuffs because in her opinion no biker is as squeaky clean as Mensa appears to be. But could there be something else behind their relationship that others see and they don’t? Well hang on to your readers because you are about to find out. Their relationship is a bumpy ride for sure. But when shots ring out and they seem to be aimed at Whitney, Mensa will stop at nothing to keep her safe.
This is a thrilling ride from start to finish and another outstanding book in the Riot MC, Biloxi Chapter series. I highly recommend them all.
Two unlikely people that shouldn't work can't seem to keep away from each other or stop thinking about the other. One night and a unsuspecting incident throws them together.
Whitney is still trying to figure out her future and what she is going to do since she handed in her resignation. Her heart and her head can't seem to come together and help her decide if she should leave Biloxi or stay and run her aunt's business.
Mensa wants the woman out of his life and out of his club's business and the lives of those he loves. However, he can't seem to decide why his thoughts always go to her, or why his protective instincts kick in when she's around.
I love the Riot MC books and the different chapters. The characters are always fun to read and the stories are always entertaining and suspenseful. Mensa's Match was no different. The chemistry between Mensa and Whitney is off the charts and these two make a great couple. I look forward to more of the Riot MC books to come.
We enjoyed Mensa and Whitney's story it was fun flirty and super hot. The cast of characters were great!
We loved Whitney's character she was so much fun. We loved her personality her teasing some of the things that came out of her mouth cracked us up.
Mensa once he got his head out of his butt and saw what was right in front of him went full throttle to claim his woman opposites attract as this couple were explosive together. We love how protective possessive and even jealous of the woman he claims to hate.
This story was a little bit tamer than most in this series it had a bit of suspense. Bit of a mystery to unpack as the club is needing answers.
Overall though the was a fun read that made us laugh out loud time and time again.
Whitney is ex-FBI and is currently contemplating her next step in life. While she does so, Mensa continues to hover in her life as she is best friends with his cousin, Riley. One incident leads to them sharing a f*ck it moment and their relationship changes.
Despite quitting her law enforcement job, Whitney holds on to her spunk and calmness. When sh*t hits the fan, I loved how she handled it and she’s definitely not a damsel in distress. As for Mensa, I liked how direct and honest he was with Whitney once he realises that she is the one for him.
Overall, I enjoyed seeing Finn and Riley in this book again, and the found family vibes were definitely strong in the last act.
After resigning from her job as an FBI agent after getting close to some of those she'd been investigating, Whitney decides to stay in Biloxi and work with her aunt. During her investigation, she repeatedly crossed paths with the Riot MC and one member, Mensa, really rubbed her the wrong way. The feeling is mutual and sparks fly whenever they are around each other to the point where they avoid each other. When they are forced on to spend time together, they begin to realize that those feelings may be more than either of them bargained for.
If you like protector romances, steamy scenes, main characters who fight for dominance, strong and empowered females, or MCs where the men are trying to turn things around for the better, you need to read this book! The chemistry between Mensa and Whitney feels slow-burn, but that's not the case in the story... it just feels like it is bubbling over with every interaction and you are just waiting for that explosion!
This book is part of the Riot MC Biloxi Series and while best read in order, can be read as a standalone.
Kenneth “Mensa” Ragstone and Whitney Blume have been oil and water but when they ignite there is no stopping them. Their chemistry jumps off the page and everyone around them sees what they don't see in themselves. The Riot MC is back to standing up for what they believe in and protecting their women. Great story with even better characters that I have grown to love while reading this series. Karen Renee has written another book you will not want to miss.
MENSA'S MATCH BY KAREN RENEE 5 STSRS 1/14/25 Whitney & Mensa
The FBI agent (former) and the biker? Not your typical match. He didn't trust her and she knew about biker reputations so why couldn't they stop thinking about each other?
The author keeps her fans interested with great characters and storylines. They fight their attractions but when trouble threatens and even becomes life-threatening they become a team of protectors. Everything isn't normal and working together may be the only way to come through alive.
I got hooked on this series when I read the first book. The fact it takes place in the South is an added plus for me. Not only are there hot, handsome men, there's romance, humor and drama, too. In addition, Karen Renee writes descriptions that make you feel like you are there, eating those beginets, or other delicious dishes to sitting on the beach watching the sun set over the Gulf. I highly recommend this series and the Riot MC series, too.
This one was just ok for me. I didn't get the attraction between the couple, when before they hated each other's guts and Whitney was gunning for Mensa to be arrested. The drama with the other club was a bit crazy and over the top and we never really found out why they were so invested in getting Whitney, other than to maybe piss off Riot.

Mensa has definitely met his match with Whitney! The ninth in the Biloxi Chapter's MC, and we are getting an enemies to lovers story filled with drama, danger, violence, and what fills like non-stop action. Whitney is full of spunk and super sassy and is perfect to keep Mensa on his toes. This was a good addition to the series, and I give this 4 stars.
Talk about fighting an attraction. These 2 are pretty hard on each other but the attraction is intense. Mensa refuses to admit what he is feeling until danger comes knocking at Whitney's door and this gets his protective instincts going. Great story, intense but good. number 9 in the series and well worth the read.
Mensa & Whitney danced around each other for a long time until one event changed everything. One night to work each other out of their system and what a night it was. Pleasure, passion, lust, action, mystery, love, loyalty and brotherhood fill these pages and I couldn't put this book down.
This is Mensa and Whitney's story. Wow I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book. I could not turn the pages fast enough, I wanted to know what happened next but at times I was not sure what was on the otherside.
This is a MC Hate to Love Romantic Suspense, and this is the 9th book in the Riot MC Biloxi series. I have read the first eight books in this series before picking up this book, and I re-read the series before picking up this book. I think you can read this book as a standalone, but I really feel it would be better if you at least read Finn's Fury first. I really enjoyed reading this book, and I love the characters in this book. This series has me just want to keep reading it. I love the drama, the characters, and the suspense that was in this book.
Yessss! Excellent book! Mensa has met his match, both as a verbal sparring partner and as partner in life... Or has he? Opposites in almost every way, and a club enemy does the unthinkable. Loved this book, lots of tense situations and drama, as well as the spice we expect from those Riot MC boys.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved Whitney's fierceness, determination, and intelligence. She had wanted to arrest Mensa, but as she came to know him, she realized that he was not that bad. Mensa was very protective and possessive of Whitney, and he definitely treated her like a queen. His ability to be easily annoyed with her but ability to keep it mostly inside was quite a feat. Their connection, the heat generated between them, and the love made this a wonderful, gritty story.
I received a copy through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Wow. What a story. These two are such unlikely match because they don't seem to like each other. I couldn't put the book down once I started.
I loved Mensa and Whitney together, they maybe unlikely match but they find each other. Mensa is smart and driven, and loyal to his club. Whitney is ambitious and loves living life. They get thrown together because something happens and they end up together.
