A man of attraction.
A man full of lure and connection.
Magnet is the brawn behind the brains—and impossible to resist.

I’m more than muscle and mastery. I’ve got more than just my head in the game. We’re so close to finding our target, so close to putting an end to the reign of one of the biggest human trafficking rings in the world. This is the worst time for my commander to add a green agent to my team, especially one who lacks self-confidence. I don’t have the will or the manpower to train her, but there’s something about the woman that attracts me like no other ever has.

Innocent people need me for protection, sanctuary, and I’m not going to lie, they need me for retaliation and redemption too. But there’s something about this particular woman that has me on high alert. A handful? Maybe. Sexy? Definitely.

If there’s one thing I know, it’s the power of attraction. This is one connection we’ll never relinquish.

While each title in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team One Series is a standalone featuring one couple with their own HEA, the books in the series may be more enjoyable read in order.

This is the final book in this stunning series and as we finally get all the answers we've been waiting for things start to click and yes there are some surprises Because this story ties up so many loose ends it really cannot be read as a stand alone

We met Schon in Zeppelin's book her and him clashed and didn't get on at all so Magnet has taken her into his Albanian team He can see that she is more than the honeypot that she has been used for he soon has working along with his team .She is very unsure of herself after been bullied by other girls/women most of her life Magnet is attracted to her from the beginning even before she was part of his team but he is more than willing to wait until she builds her confidence before making his move. As we finally get poir s=answers we are also lef=d towards what I am sure will be another great series.

This is the finally book in the K19 Allied Inteligence Team One series. This is the only book of the series that I feel can't be read as a stand alone. There's just too much going on, normally one gets enough information if this is where they started in the series, but not this time. There were too many unanswered questions at the end of Code Name: Zeppelin, that are answered here, and the whole series is tied together. I'll admit that I didn't see the curve ball of who "A" is of the AMPS trafficking ring. My heart goes out to Nona Vella, who's been a character since Code Name: Cayman's book. She's always wanted to do the right thing, but it seems her family had other ideas.

We met Schon in the previous book, as she's added to the Swiss task force, but that didn't work out for her. See her past training in intelligence, she'd been a "honey pot" and it seemed like that was all she knew how to do. Zeppelin quickly took a disliking to her and she was reassigned to Magnet's task force. Magnet quickly sees her for what she actually is, an intelligent agent who has far more talents than her looks. Schon unfortunately has self esteem issues. One can't blame her, as her parents died when she was a child, her uncle sent her to live with a couple who she eventually rebelled against. That landed her in an all girls boarding school. We all know how cruel teenage girls can be. She was almost always to topic of "mean girls." Then throw in a couple female agents on the task force that treat her in the same manner. Ehren has her own issues, but none of them are truly related to Schon as she likes to think.

This was a wonderful book in the sense that Magnet loved Schon from the beginning, but basically from afar. He wanted her to grow in her confidence and see what a shining star she could be on the task force for her true abilities. She struggled with her feelings towards him, concerned that he was only seeing the outside, and she wasn't using "what God gave her" ever again to get what she wanted.

While this does conclude the 5 book series that started about a year ago, it does lend to a new beginning. The AMPS trafficking ring is essentially dismantled. We learn who the last player was, and of her multiple identities. Not giving away any more on that one. However the last burning question is what happened to Sestet? That is the segue to the next series K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two. Which of course I can't wait for.

I was fortunate to have received an advanced reader copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly

The newest addition to Magnet's team, Schön, has a problem with confidence. She had previously been utilized as a 'honeytrap' agent, implying that was what she was good for. Fortunately, Nemesis recognized her potential and brought her to the coalition. She's part of Magnet's Albanian team and he knows she is far better than that and it's proven when she brings up the genetic connection.

Magnet is also fighting an attraction to her; he wants to bring her out of her shell but without a sexual connotation. This is difficult because he really would like a relationship with her. He also recognizes that although she may be attracted to him, her mindset needs to change first.

His team is to travel to Gozo and collect DNA samples from Francesca and Charlene to prove out the theory. This plan has many changes before they even leave Shere. With the final one being Rogue and Schön as a married couple and Ehren and Magnet as her parents traveling with them. As if their actual mission isn't complicated enough, there is also history between Ehren and Schön. While Schön rises above it, it appears Ehren holds a grudge. It's such that Magnet felt he had to intervene for the good of the team. They can't afford to have someone on the team who isn't going to have all their backs.

Rogue and Magnet are able to get DNA worthy samples on the first encounter with Francesca and Charlene. After which there is another confrontation between Ehren and Schön. This time Schön turns her communicator on, and Magnet hears every word. He would be addressing the issue on the way back to England.

Back in Shere, Magnet and Schön have an interesting discussion about where she will be staying, followed by the debrief.

With the verification of the DNA, things begin to move rapidly both with the mission and the relationship between Schön and Magnet.

As Schön reviews surveillance tapes she makes discoveries that prove her to be an integral part of solving this case once and for all.

There are so many interlinking parts to this story that go all the way back to the very beginning. I am very glad I've been reading everything in order, so I knew everyone mentioned.

I loved seeing all of the teams come together in the final book of this ARC. I really can't wait to read the team two's books.

An explosive series finale!

One of my favorite tropes to read is the redeemed bad girl, and Heather Slade really hits it out of the park with Schon and Magnet! When we met Schon in the last book, she was still unsure of herself and that led to a few missteps along the way. As this book starts, she begins to realize her strengths and finds herself opening up to her commander, Magnet, as they put the final clues together to take down the deadly AMPS human trafficking organization.

I really adored Magnet, his commitment to the job and his patience with his newest agent. His honor and integrity led him to prioritize her career over his growing attraction, making this a slow-burn romance while at the same time giving us an action-packed investigative sensation.

The mystery is solved step by painstaking step, with more than a few surprise twists. As the final book in the series, we not only get a solid HEA for Magnet and Schon but we also get to see all the secrets revealed, all the answers as the coalition takes down the organization they've been pursuing for so long.

I loved every bit of this story and was so satisfied with the way it all wrapped up. I highly recommend this book and the entire series for anyone who loves contemporary romances with true-to-life heroes and heroines. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Never read a book by its cover.

Schon came to the team after a misstep. She has never felt like she belonged, and she is trying to find a place for herself in a job she loves and is great at. Magnet and Nemesis agreed to take her on she needs to prove she can be more than a honey pot.

Magnet agree to Schon coming on his team after the mess with his best friend. When he looks at her, he sees more than the outside package. He wants to prove to her that there is more there than she has been allowed to see till now.

As they race to find out who is at the top of AMPS there are enemies within and without. People aren’t what they seem to be. Magnet can’t stay away from her, and she is trying to believe that he means what he says. These two characters at first glance really seem to be different people. Once the walls come down and you dig deeper, they surprise you and make you cheer for their HEA. Schon is a complete surprise from the past storyline. I love her growth throughout this story and what she brings to everyone. It’s a real journey of learning who you can be, and it was great to read.

I never start one of Heather’s books unless I know I have the time to finish it in one sitting. This one was no different.

Code Name Magnet is the 5th and final book in the K19 AI Team One series. It carries straight on from where the previous book ended and contains so many references to people and previous events that it should not be read before any of the others. Even Schön and Magnet's story really started before we meet up with them on the verge of their very own op in search of the elusive final member of the trafficking ring the coalition is hunting, so they have feelings for each other from the beginning. From England to Switzerland and Gozo, the fast-paced action brings the mission to a happy conclusion after more than one surprising turn of events. In the process, the feelings between Schön and Magnet grow, as does Schön's confidence in her own abilities and it was great to see the team rallying around them. A wonderful win for the coaliton, but there are a few loose ends to tie and more bad guys to catch, so I'm looking forward to the next adventure.

We’re on the hunt to find the last member of AMPS, the human trafficking organization. Magnet, is the operational commander of the Albanian task force team that will be working to discover the last major player. Schon has been assigned to be a part of this team unfortunately she has previously been being used as a “honey pot” something she is trying to rid herself of and be known as a successful operator. We learn of Schon’s background early on read carefully as things are not always what you think. Heather has dropped a number of nuggets throughout. Will we finally find the last piece of the trafficking ring. Will Schon and Magnet ever become the couple we’re looking for. Lots of innuendos by other characters that will impact the relationship between Schon and Magnet as well as several other characters. But is the search and take down of human traffickers over or will we see more takedowns by new K19 Allied Intelligence Teams.

Heather Slade is one of my most favorite authors. She understands the agent life, shall we say. I find this series K19 Allied Intelligence Team One to be so very captivating and intriguing.

Code Name: Magnet was another of her best work! I truly enjoy the details, like descriptions of the places (hotels, chalets, resorts, etc) along with the people and what they look like. Not to mention how she creates her characters with strength both physical and emotional, intelligence both male and female agents, and also how she pairs the perfect partners.

But, my absolute favorite thing about this book was the suspense that kept me turning the pages. This one kept me on my toes, I could not even guess what the next thing was that was going to happen. So so AMAZING!!

Heather Slade thank you so much for all your creative worlds and words.

I absolutely loved Magnet and Schon!

The continuation of this story is about taking down the biggest ring of human trafficking. Magnet is the commander of the UN’s Albanian task force. Schon was assigned to the task force two months ago. She’s not the best agent he’s ever worked with, he will train her to be a great partner for him. Also, he just can’t seem to keep his eyes off her. She is a great person inside and out. They put their personal journey on hold while their professional journey is front and center. At the same time their feelings are growing for one another. Oh my goodness, the last piece of their immediate puzzle falls into place on this mission. They finally know who A is, and it is a shocker. Lots of action and mystery in this story. It’s a slow burner, for sure.

More than meets the eye

Prisca/Schon & Magnet/Justin Magnussen. A different path to HEA than others as the physical attraction was a negative at times. But their strength in believing the other skill set and trust was wonderful, especially seeing Prisca blossom when Magnet kept defending her and respecting her. Once again the other women were all stars and I loved seeing how Verity, Oleander and Nemesis respected Prisca and her skill sets. The final family connections of the trafficking ring were diabolical and icky. The romance for the couple and end was precious. The ending regarding Puck was intriguing bc I am ready for answers about where he disappeared and how he has the former M16 director who had gone missing. This series is over, but the world is still expanding and I am ready for more stories!

Code Name: Magnet is book 5 in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team One series by Heather Slade and continues with the Task Force on human traffickers.

Up next is Magnet and Schon’s story. Schon’s been assigned to Magnet’s task force team to find the final player in the AMPS organization, but most of her experience is known as the “honey pot “. He will train her but he can’t keep his eyes from her either…what happens next will keep you on the edge to see if they get the last member of AMPS, keep their attraction to a minimum…not likely…suspense, twists, turns, chemistry and more…

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Magnet takes the next step in solving the mystery of AMPS. The suspense will have you on the edge of your seat as Magnet and Schon race to solve the clues. Schon finds her own and becomes the agent she always could’ve been. She has the team, especially Nemesis and of course Magnet, support and build her up. She’ll learn that not every guy wants her for one thing as Magnet dives with both feet in. Magnet shows great patience and love. Will you be able to figure out all the clues as the mystery unravels? Heather Slade will have you guessing until the very end. You don’t want to miss this final conclusion in the Team One series for K19 Allied Intelligence!

Oh what a way to wrap up this series and ending the human trafficking ring run by AMPS. This book takes you thru everything we have learned and finally reveals who is A in AMPS. The relationship between Magnet and Schon is such a great read. I really wanted to dislike Schon based on her introduction and antics in the other books. Once you learn about her life and how she came to be in intelligence then you see how much manipulation went into shaping her life. Absolutely love Magnet and how he sees thru Schon's bravado and gets to the real person. This storyline has mystery, intrigue, murder, love, loyalty, friendship and a great balance between good and evil.

Magnet meets Schon and is immediately attracted to her, but she's got problems because previously she was used as a honeytrap agent, now she wants to be taken seriously. She's moved over to the K19 group Magnet is commanding and is determined not to fall for him.

They've found M P and S, can they find A, and keep them alive to root out all the places the trafficking is going on?

This is an excellent story about investigation and trying to resist each other. Schon can't believe anyone would want her for anything other than sex, Magnet has to persuade her that he finds her intelligent,  beautiful and clever.

A great read to end the series from Heather

Code Name: Magnet

Wow! This was another intense story! This story involved Magnet and Schon. Schon's life has not been easy, to say the least. The woman who helped her when her parents died was actually one of the masterminds behind a large sex trafficking organization. The coalition were getting real close to shutting down this organization. It was sad that Schon had a personal thing with this investigation. Glad Schon was able to get past all of her insecurities to help break this investigation open. Glad Magnet and Schon finally found their happy ending. Glad most of the bad guys were taken care of too. FANTASTIC q Heather! I would recommend this book!

I find when I read these K19 Allied Intelligence Team books that there is a calmness among the havoc. For each individual book, we see a different couple paired. What we saw in the previous book (Zeppelin), Schon was not a nice character, totally redeemed in this book! She was a shining star in this book. Magnet is your wonderful supporting hero. The names are finally revealed for this ring of lowlifes, but there is still something out there that needs to be solved and this brings us to the next spin off series! Can't wait.

Complicated K19 Resolution!!

Magnet is leading the team who are trying to find the final main partner in the trafficking ring. International travel, complicated relationships, DNA matching, undercover action and so much more.

Schon is new on the team, and working to prove herself. Her physical assets have always drawn attention, but she is also wicked smart and insightful. As tensions rise, so does attraction.

Edge of your seat action, as all team members must pull together to solve this case.

We are back trying to find out the last member of AMPS. This is such a great story

Schon wanted to proof that there was more to her than being a honey-trap agent. She knew that she could do the job. She had memorized everything about the mission and wanted to ask questions. The thing that would complicate things is she was intrigued by Magnet.

Magnet loved that Schon was asking questions and finding out different angels on the investigation. He was finding her attractive.

Can they keep being professional and solve the investigation or will it blow up.

Great read.

I really enjoyed getting to know Schon as I really wasn't her biggest fan when I first met her, but then got angry at how she was boxed into being a honey trap up till now. Magnet and Schon rub each other up the wrong way from the get go but or different reasons and then we get the perfect slow burn when they finally allow their feelings to show to ensure Schon is respected and find her place within the team.
We also finally get answers about who A was and I was like shut the front door, totally did not expect who it was!

This action-packed page-turner grabs the reader's attention from the first page. The drama-filled story has tense moments throughout. The main characters have a hard time fighting their attraction while on assignments. The female character grows confident and starts to make her place meaningful on the team. The team finds all the missing pieces to bring down the powerful human trafficking ring. I received a copy, and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review.

I really resonated with this story. Magnet is a good ba$$ of a man…..he is trying to save the world, and knows many ways to protect the innocent and take down the bad guys and he also knows how to love!

Schon has always been looked at as only the surface…..not what lies beneath. I feel that in my soul……it is so hard on the self esteem.

This story is a beautiful love story with a heck of an underlying story! I love that we finally get to see who AMPS really is.

This book is fantastic! We have been waiting for the conclusion to this trafficking ring story. Magnet and Schon have a story that is full of twists and questions. Schon is a strong character that has to overcome the challenges from her previous assignments. Magnet is there supporting her and loving her as they work together to figure out this last link to take this trafficking ring down. As always we get strong characters, supportive friends, steam and suspense. Loved it!

Most people look at Shoën and see the beautiful "honey trap" she's been molded into. Magnet sees the outer beauty as well as her inner intelligence and sensitivity. When he tells her they'll make a great team, he believes it. Getting her to believe is another matter. The Coalition is closing in on AMPS, identifying the major players and set to dismantle this heinous organization. There are some surprising revelations, dangerous moments and deep emotions unveiled. All in all, a sensational read.
