God I Love This Series!!
First things first, if you haven't read Denial, get you ass in gear and do it! it's awesome!
Desire was every bit as good as the first book. The characters are unique and the story is so refreshingly original it kept me hooked.
After a revealing visit from Isaac's father at the apartment Maya and Isaac have to collaborate to come up with a plan to get douchebag Luke to lose interest and dump her once she "bows out" of the program Luke set up for her. Hopefully he'll lose interest if she tells him she wants nothing to do with the lifestyle he so desperately needs and will find someone else. Here's where it gets complicated- we find out Maya has been not only been dating Luke since she was 14 (eeew) but that he's known her since she was 10 (gags) and not only that but Maya didn't realise that he's pretty much been raping her all these years because of her body's natural response. She thought it made it okay. We also find out more about Isaac's shady past and pretty tragic childhood. It explains allot with him. Luke, who I still believe deserves a hard kick to the nuts before having his man-card revoked for being a festering boil on the butt of humanity, says he's not giving her up but will give her space. Maya and Isaac continue to see each other in secret while he lives with his ex-stepmother/ex-lover Glory but things get hairy as it becomes harder to sneak around. Then Luke turns all stalker on Maya, so I know that fu*ker is up to no good. It gets harder and harder for Isaac to be away from Maya but they have to be safe if they want to be together. Then the sh*t hits the fan. I won't give anymore away because it's too awesome to spoil. I CANNOT wait for the final book to come out! Holy Cliffhanger Ms. Chase! I literally balled up my fists and growled when I finished! I need to find out what happens! I adore the relationship between Maya and Isaac. They're just SO in love that you can't help but want them to be happy together because they both deserve it after all they have been through. This book kept be riveted from the first page to the last!

Wow, this just... just, was as freakin' awesome as #1! What I wouldn't do to have that messed up man/boy mixture. I still can't get over the ages for this kind of crazy down and dirty screwed up mess! I definitely would take him on, every bit of his crazy!

Craving more
I tell myself never to read these series books until they are all published. Now I'm left waiting in agony for the third book! Talk about a cliffhanger!!! I enjoyed this book because the love story between Jace and Piper begins to take shape and adds humor and drama to the story. I also enjoyed the banter between Jace and Isaac. I can't wait to see what happens between all the characters and I truly hope that Luke gets what he deserves...a slow painful death

WOW!! Another amazing part of the trilogy! I love the characters in this story! So intriguing and the author keeps you guessing all through the story. I can't wait to read book 3.

I am so sad because honestly I wanted so much to love this book. If I thought I got frustrated and fed up with the drawn out story for no reason in the first book then this book was worse. It's a great love story and really has potential but to draw it out so much is just wrong and annoying. The back story should have been put in the first book and shortened all the back and forth we both know where this going but let's see how long we can drive our selves crazy first.
So this book didn't even give me my happy ending. Seriously 40+ chapters you would think it would be a great story and give you your happy ending but I was disappointed and hate that.

Loved it! This series has been a nice little escape. It's twisted, high drama, and oh so steamy! Not everyone is into these kinds of stories, and to be honest some of them outright tick me off, but I've really enjoyed what Chase has written. I absolutely love and value high literature, but sometimes a girl just needs to get lost in a story like this ;) Can't wait for Defiance. Isaac and Maya better get a happy ending or I will be SO ANGRY.

Wow wow wow I was reading this open mouthed for a few hours such a great 2nd book I love love love Isaac he is the perfect alpha boyfriend.So the story has many a twist and turn and has you pulling for the lead characters I loved that jace got his chapters and love him as a character he could have his own book can't wait for book three as jeez it ends on a cliffy well done ember!!!!!

wow talk about a cliffhanger! Defiance is going to be sooo good; I loved everything about this 2nd installment, absolutely nothing I didn't. I don't give anything away on my reviews unless it's truly awful... a must read and if you haven't gotten the first that's very imperative as well. loved every minute!!

I wish Ember would write another series like this, I've read it twice, it has love, deception, hurt, sadness (weeping into a tissue sadness!), happiness, betrayal, and best of all great sex. Come on Ember we want more. :0}

the story just got better although it is sometime difficult to understand the danger from Baron as its more implied and glory but cant wait to read the next book

So much drama! This book was impossible for me to put down. I like how Ember did not shy away from some very disturbing content.

This is a lot of messed up boring... until the last 20% of the book maybe.
