This book is perfect for all of the kids out there who dream of making it "big" in the sports world. The main target audience is middle school students and older who have a passion for sports. This first book in the series focuses on a young man who is very talented in playing football. The author does an excellent job descibing the emotions of being moved up early from the junior high school football team to take on a starting postion as the high school quarter back. I will be honest ... I know nothing about sports. I just go to the game and try to follow along and enjoy it ... if my kids are playing, I will definitely try to figure out the rules and watch them. Other than that, I am clueless about sports.

I was recommended by a friend to read this series, since I have two tweens that are showing an interest in sports and love to read. This book is a great introduction to get a kid who does not like to read to read. It's not too young for an aspiring reader.

Perfect book for middle schoolers.

Great football story that middle schoolers will love. Will Stover is a jr high football player who gets his chance at a starting quarterback spot on the varsity football team.

Perfect read for those football boys who are reluctant readers. Little too much football detail to interest me, but it was refreshing to experience a functional family with both a mom and dad. The cover was terrible but once students get past that, they will enjoy reading this one.
