Is Madison brave enough to completely embrace the world, and the person, that she longs for?
Naughty Bits is wonderfully kinky, beautiful and HIGHLY EROTIC... It's about love, trust, letting go of your fears and finding that special person who enhances your existence. It's about finding your forever. I absolutely adore this stunningly written BDSM 4 part novella series!
Joey W. Hill explains the art of submission so eloquently from the perspective of Madison's inexperienced eyes…... It's exquisitely told and totally captivated my imagination. It shows that all experiences, both good and bad, are leading us to our fate… Our ultimate destiny.
Naughty Bits in it's entirety is where fantasies become reality. The story is uplifting and pure, blissful escapism with wonderful characters and emotion. I highly recommend this series to readers with an open mind who appreciate fierce, character loving wrapped in kink.

5 Infinite Stars
WOW.....Such a beautiful ending to a wonderful story. The story of discovering, forgiving, awakening, believing and loving. Logan and Madison emerge in this last part of Naughty Bits as a couple who is deeply in tune with one another. The realization of dominance and submission, to love and be loved, and trust and be trusted all come full circle.
Logan gives and creates Madison's fantasy. He goes to extreme lengths to give her fantasy intense life. With the help from Troy and Mistress Shale, the fantasy becomes reality. The orchestration of the fantasy was exquisite, beautiful, erotic, and orgasmic.
I must say that I loved the strength and determination of Logan's faith that they were in fact meant for each other. Madison was her own worst enemy but with Logan's faith and desire, she was able to see the sign of infinity, of eternity, the figure eight.
When reading a Joey W. Hill book, I always feel an intense and beautifully written experience. This story dives into BDSM but the way she describes the actions and needs and desires of her characters, you understand what it is to be a Dominant and a submissive.

Have you noticed how erotic woodwork can be?
He put his hands on her shoulders, and she sighed into his mouth as his lips sealed over hers. Slow, but not restrained. It was a thorough, overwhelming kiss that had her sliding her arms under his so she could get even closer. He let go of her shoulders to frame her jaw and throat with both hands, hold her there as her lips parted and his tongue mated with hers.
In this final installment of the Naughty Bits series, Logan has to work hard at slaying the monster that dares coming out of its black hole again and again to disturb his love interest Madison. Disintegrating Madison's fears so she can finally trust him completely and hand over the reins, is hard work and has to be earned thoroughly. Little steps of progress seem to be followed by frustrating setbacks. Logan, however, won't give in so easily. He's got the patience of a saint and he's incredibly tenacious. His ability to dissect Madison's emotional landscape is impressive.
Considering what I just said, this might sound odd to you but I didn't really buy it. That's the point where my doubts creep in. The entire series is peppered with Madison's fears and distrust. Her inability to have a happy (committed) relationship has been mentioned numerous times, and then we are bound to believe that BDSM will finally heal her; she can only be happy in a Dom/sub relationship. Meaning, BDSM and Logan will take care of her issues. Don't get me wrong. Logan is a dream come true as a fictional hero but also as a man in real life (oh, I'd wish). I love him something fierce. I really do. Yet…I don't know…maybe…just maybe I'm getting tired of that ever-present healing aspect in every friggin' BDSM tale.
I honestly did not care about the entire slave fantasy. At. All. I didn't find it particularly hot or erotic. However, my biggest issue was that I didn't buy Madison's act. She was scared and almost balked, yet of course she pulled it off and didn't make use of her safe word.
But she was a trained slave. (Wrong, she wasn't, IMO. Logan trained her as a sub but she wasn't a slave to that extend that was needed to accomplish the slave fantasy.)
It was assumed she was ready for this, right? (Yeah, emphasis on assumption yet it's another question if she really was ready for this. I dare to dissent).
She'd freak out if someone she didn't know did touch her. If that happened, she wouldn't know if anything he'd told her could be trusted. She wasn't ready for this. She'd lost her mind. All she had to do was say Alice. Right? (I wish she'd said it. Scratch that. I wanted her to say it.)
I didn't believe that Madison was ready or oh-so-willing to perform what was required of her. Let's face it, that fantasy was nothing to sneeze at; it was quite intimidating. Throw her insecurities and shortcomings into the mix and I had a complex mess at my hands. This…thing…to me it's a matter of the heart and my heart wasn't in the right place. I really didn't feel emotionally engaged. Thus, I wasn't able to love this part of the story. Just once I would love to come across such a scenario in an F/M BDSM novel where the heroine makes use of her safe word. I know not using the safe word is a basic requirement otherwise there wouldn't be any BDSM books written in the first place. Still, I can't change how aggravating it is, and how I feel about it.
I'm aware of the fact that my way of reviewing The Highest Bid is somewhat contradictory. On the one hand, I insist that Logan is a fabulous hero, but on the other hand, my assertion casts a poor light on him because when I say Madison was not ready, Logan should have perceived her conflicting state of mind (which he did, BTW) and cut back. Of course he reassured her by saying she could put a stop to everything by using her safe word Alice. At any moment. Well, that's very much appreciated but the crux of the matter is it never happens anyway.
"How about we finish the night the way we started? Like a regular date. I walk you to your car, kiss you goodnight. Tell you I had a wonderful time, because I did. You could do the same if you feel merciful."
"You don't need reassurance. You're the most secure man I've ever met."
"Doesn't have to do with that. I've just reached the point in my life that when I know what I want, how I want it, I put it out there. If it comes to pass, it was meant to be. If it doesn't I just work harder at it. It takes a hell of a lot to defeat me, Madison. So you can get afraid and retreat as often as you wish. It just means every line you back across, I'll follow you, until I'm so deep inside of you, you'll never get rid of me."
I did enjoy the first 35 % of The Highest Bid very much. It is very unfortunate, however, that the rest of the novella didn't really cut it for me. BTW, The Highest Bid ended abruptly at only 73 % and added another layer to my frustration. Ending a novella so soon comes off as a rip-off in my book and where the heck was the epilogue?
I'd like to conclude my review on a very positive note by pointing out that this series is absolutely worth reading because of the outstanding hero, Logan Scott. He's the very best asset of Naughty Bits and shines like a beacon in all his intensely male and assertive glory. He's getting a place among my favorite heroes and I'm going to miss him greatly.

The final part in the serial revolving around Madison, a woman whose seven failed relationships had left her with a ton of intimacy issues, is about finally getting past them, letting go of the past, and AT LAST accepting Logan for what he truly is: her Master. I say "at last" because Madison had started to become frustrating for one simple reason: seven times she had given herself to a wrong man, but now that the right one came along (and she knows he's the right one), she keeps backing away. Silly woman. I mean, hellooo! I guess she thought him to be too good to be true. I think it's a shame he's fictional, but what can you do...
The Highest Bid was about making fantasies come true. Not mine, sadly, but Madison's. Early on she confessed to Logan her recurring fantasy of being trained as a sex slave, and then sold at an auction to a soldier who she secretly wished for. I admit this part wasn't my favorite. This type of auction, whether real or fantasy, is not something I enjoy reading about, and Logan did a very good job at making it seem real. Scarily so. I did like the part leading to the "auction", but the rest kind of freaked me out a bit. Like I said, this isn't my thing. However, it is Madison's, and Madison is what this was all about. For her this appeared to be the right way to go to get her to finally understand Logan is there to stay, so it was well worth it. The HEA was achieved! (At seventy-something percent.)
All in all, reading Naughty Bits was enjoyable, as was to be expected given Joey W. Hill is one of my favorite authors. As per usual with this type of serials where we have one novel split into several parts, I think I did the right thing by reading them all one right after the other. I can't help but think it would have been even better had I not even stopped to review each one after finishing them. Maybe, I don't know. What I do know is that the way the parts were written worked, but I still do prefer when Ms. Hill writes those really long novels. I also missed having the hero's perspective, especially since the hero was someone like Logan. No matter, this worked well enough for me to look forward to Naughty Wishes.

A great finale to the Naughty Bits/The Lingerie Shop quartet !!
Erotica written with class, depth and feeling. I'm an absolut fan of this writer and she never fails to deliver unique stories, quite intense both physically and emotionally. All charactes envolved in the story are masterfully outlined, not only the main couple, but side character as well, even characters off-scene! what kinda talent is that??
Overall the entire novel (or all parts of it) were great. I could not read them in one sitting, but actually out of order and over a large time-frame, and still, enjoyed it deeply and got so invested in the characters that did not forget about them and it was very easy to pick up another part after a while away from it.

This is the final instalment to the Naughty Bits serialised novel and I loved every minute of it. Madison has had time to explore her submissive side, she's even had a go at taking control of the situation and acting like a Dom, but now it's time for her to step up and decide if what she really wants is a life with Logan as his collared submissive.
I have been dying for Madison to take that leap and I'm just going to say it was well worth the wait! This is undoubtedly the hottest instalment yet and Logan takes Madison on a thrilling ride as he guides her through her deepest, darkest fantasy. I loved every minute of this instalment and I'm so glad that I stuck with this story after the first instalment which I have to confess I wasn't a fan of. The series really has got better and better with each new part and I'm definitely planning on reading more from Joey W. Hill now I know what she's really capable of. If you've liked the previous instalments you're going to LOVE The Highest Bid!

Where to start? Powerful, moving, erotic, sizzling, and emotional. Naughty Bits Part IV: The Highest Bid is without a doubt, elegantly written. This final installment of Ms. Hill's Naughty Bits novella hits every high point there is in BDSM. The stomach clenching, heart pounding emotions in this final novella will grasp your heart and soul forever. The only way to fix a broke person is to tear then down, and then rebuilt them, and Ms. Hill has done this from the start of the novella to the end. Ms. Hill demonstrate the true relationship between a Dom and Sub in the world of BDSM.

FINALLY Madison takes the plunge. In this series we have seen Madison's journey of finding and being true to her 'inner submissive' and at the same time we have fallen in love with fabulousness of Logan.
Logan is a rock when it comes to himself. He is self assured, dominant, confident, sexy, commanding, compassionate, loyal, loving and yet still sweet.
The more Madison's truth comes to the surface the more she retreats but Logan is solid and patient.
Joey Hill is brilliant at writing Erotica. In Naughty Bits she has captured the essence of BDSM with the struggles of Madison's personal demons at the same time added the element of love, hope and forgiveness into the mix. At times Madison's wishy washy ways bugged me but you counteract that with Logan and it all evens out in the end.
By far Logan is the shining star in this series and there was such beauty watching Logan bring Madison's true self to the forefront. Great Novella, Fabulous Series!!!

Auction fantasies are pretty hawt in theory. In reality, will they turn out as well? In this fourth serial installment, Madison is feeling good about kink and taking over her sister's store. Her kinky exploration with Logan is expanding, including a fantasy she's been wanting to try out. She dreams about being trained as a sex slave and then sold in an auction to a new master.
This set up is well done. Ms. Hill blends fantasy and reality smoothly in this contemporary romance. She highlights how reality differs a bit from the fanciful plans. It's rather amusing this is an erotic fiction with a reality check to a character's fetish dream. As to the characters, Madison is much better in this story. She's grown less judgmental. Her ability to relate to the store customers is a nice change. Her acceptance of her own desires is also pleasant to witness.
Logan is still the dreamy dominant who serves his submissive as much as he dominates her. He's the gentle yet strict dominant who plans scenes carefully and enjoys it. Adding his friends to help make the scene more intense is lovely. The supporting cast in this story are enchanting. With their experiences in the lifestyle, it helps support Madison to become more free and daring. This is a sweet installment in an erotic awakening. Recommended as a BDSM Gateway book.

Let me begin by saying that I liked how Madison has come into her own sexuality and is able to help others who come into the shop. She provides help with not the obvious solutions but with more analytical thinking. She is getting into the mind so people can connect with the heart of things making it a combination, being a human and not all animal.
Now that one have gotten done with saying something nice: What was the purpose of this book??!!! This book was straight garbage!!! There was need for this book. Madison still had all these insecurities after 3 freaking books. Ugh, guh get it together. Her and Logan had been playing these games, he is making her fantasies come true, and she still doesn't believe this man wants her and that she wants to be with him.
I was so happy to get done with this book. I was about to kill myself reading the foolishness that was going on. I compared this to a train wreck. The first 2 books had this series going full steam ahead; heading in a great direction. On the third the author ran out of coal and the train slowed down tremendously. With this book the author ran out of tracks and the train went off the cliff. Dead bodies and blood everywhere!!! This book was senseless and could have been kept.

As with the previous installments in this serial, I really enjoyed this one. The Highest Bid explores Madison's deepest desire--to be auctioned off to someone (or more than one someone) so they can have their wicked, wicked way with her.
As Madison's fantasy progresses, she comes to recognize how important Logan is to her when her emotions take center stage. Book IV was the most powerful of the series, as we finally get to see her loosen the tight reign she's held on her emotions thus far.
Though Logan has been vocal about what he wants from Madison and how much he cared for her, she didn’t believe him. It took him trying to meet her every need—and going to extraordinary lengths to do that—for her to finally see how much she meant to him. It was nice to see her come to that realization, and to be humbled and awed by it.
Overall, I think this was a hot and sexy read with lots of emotion tossed in. Delicious combination!

Madison's journey comes to a conclusion, of sorts. In this final part of her story Madison gets to play out her ultimate fantasy: a sex slave auctioned and bought by a soldier Master. Logan indulges in her fantasy while at the same time guides her to her true feelings towards him.
Madison finally understands Alice's final request and sees what she had refused to see before: that she is a submissive and that there is someone who will always love her.
The sex slave part of the story was a bit draggy for me and the ending seemed a bit abrupt. So she suddenly realizes the truth and sees the light after going thru a very realistic role play? Hmmm....i don't really see the connection there. But all in all it has been a very entertaining story. The star of the story to me is and will always be Logan although there's still not much we know about him.
I just hope there'll be a Naughty Bits 4.5 that'll tell a bit more of the story between Logan and Madison and perhaps on Troy and Shale.

I can’t say enough how I enjoyed this last book as well as the others in the series.
Joey took the time to nurture a relationship between two adults. The main characters didn’t find “instant Love”. Instead, Logan was able to create a safe environment for Madison. She was able to share her hopes, fears and especially her fantasies.
Both characters had to expose themselves emotionally in order to find their way towards each other. I’m glad the author didn’t expose the reader to unnecessary drama. As a reader, I felt that this could be a reality. The beginning of a new relationship. They had a connection that you could feel while reading.
I am greedy though. I would have loved an additional chapter or two. Perhaps another book!

Joey Hill has a way of writing that is just delicious!
I fell in love with her with the Knights of the Boardroom series and this series has surpassed even the greatness I already knew she had.

The final installment of Joey w. HILL's Naughty Bits series. Madison and Logan's journey was a wonder to read. The realizations of love, trust and support help with the final submission of Madison. Now to read the 4 parts as one complete story. As always, with any of Joey's writings this was a sexy, hot, fanning oneself Joey to read.

This was a fine conclusion to the novella series, and while I understood why Logan and Madison Logan's tone of voice was also getting on my nerves by the end of the series. He's always saying what Madison is thinking. Let her come to her own conclusions, man! That being said, this was much better than 50 Shades of Grey.

Really like this all together with the 4 parts. Each installment was about 80% of the total page count (less another 7-8% if you take into account the intro pages). But the 4th part ended at 60%, and that doesn’t include the 7% of intro pages.
Which would find as altogether it’s a decent length, except the 4th part ended so abruptly. This was actually headed for 5 stars but for the ending. It was like having a door slammed in your face.

Short story. Madison overcomes herself and surrenders to her Master Logan. HEA. And no follow through, I don't recall them making a significant return to Joey's World.
Maybe Logan had a Cameo, but i don't recall it being as substantial as some of the others in her writings - which is a shame because Logan and Madison are strong characters and could have maintained a presence.
Please feel free to remind me where if my memory is faulty - because I'd gladly re-read that too.

Logan finally fulfills Madison's deepest darkest fantasy. It is so compelling and sensually erotic that she ultimately realizes why her sister gave her to Madison. It took every experience in her life, both good and bad, to get her to this point. Logan is the man, the Master she has fantasized about and waited for all of her life

As they continued their careful dance toward each other and a complete Dominant/submissive relationship, it was clear they both wanted what was ahead, but that rushing it would only end in ruin. Logan has had what seems like infinite patience with Madison as she has traveled so far already, knowing that she must choose him instead of accepting his claim without question the way she’s always done before. It’s with that in mind that Logan is ready to give her the one fantasy she’s always dreamed of, the one she dared not speak aloud until he gained her trust to understand her desire and make it happen. It’s the ultimate mind-blowing experience for Madison, and although her brain knows it’s just roleplay, her body reacts exactly as she’d anticipated, leaving her to deal with the realization that what she feels for Logan is true love. But does he feel the same, or has she waited too long to commit?
As much as I loved the first three parts of NAUGHTY BITS, THE HIGHEST BID is definitely my favorite, and not just because it contains the long awaited HEA. Madison has had years to expand and refine her greatest fantasy of being sold at auction to an attractive Dominant military man and being shared by him with his closest friends. And that’s what Logan has provided for her, including a preliminary setup to get her in the right state of mind, and the best possible aftercare. I marveled at his attention to the smallest possible details, yet never lost sight of his ultimate goal to make Madison his in full by the end of the evening. There was also quite a bit of symbolism involved in Madison’s experience, with numeric references to the mistakes she’d made in her past, and how they’d helped her see that what she had now was what she truly needed. For it’s not just the D/s relationship that Madison fully embraces by the end of THE HIGHEST BID, but also the knowledge that the only person she could ever accept as her Master is Logan, the man she loves and who loves her in turn. Their happy ending is a perfect cherry on the delicious cake that is NAUGHTY BITS and the only thing I didn’t like was that their story had to end.

If this were any other writer who includes elements of BDSM in their work, this would have received five stars from me, but this is Joey Hill, and I hold her to a higher standard. Her Nature of Desire series sets a high bar for BDSM literature, and it's only by comparison with her own excellent work that this book, Naughty Bits IV: The Highest Bid, suffers. Joey has a grasp on the finer points of BDSM. Her work is not merely a catalogue of the latest sex toys or a postmodern Kama Sutra with an emphasis on athleticism and flexibility. Joey's characters are realistically drawn, with clearly defined motives and story arcs that make sense and leave the reader feeling as if they've stepped briefly into the lives of real people, sharing in their most intimate moments.
Yes, the theme of this series is unrepentantly erotic. Joey has a rare talent for using eroticism to show us the beating hearts of her characters. It is the window through which we are able to see the inner workings of their relationships, their needs as well as their desires. We are privileged to witness the transformations of their hearts and souls as they learn about each other and come to terms with the demons that have been holding them back from leading fulfilled lives.
The love story that has been told over the course of this series is as profoundly spiritual as it is deeply erotic. Madison and Logan's romance is like a flower, slowly unfurling as we watch, and in this volume it has reached it's pinnacle. As I said at the beginning of this review, if this had been any other writer, I could have justified giving it five stars. It's not just another BDSM novel. But as I write this, I can't help thinking of Rough Canvas, the sixth book in the Nature of Desire series, which remains the best M/M romance, and one of the best all-around romances I've ever read - and I've been reading romance for more than thirty years. Rough Canvas is my standard for excellence, and The Highest Bid didn't quite reach that high. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it to any reader who enjoys books with a strong BDSM theme. It is not for those just dipping their toes into the BDSM pond. Some of the elements of the fantasy that is at the core of this book are likely to be a bit daunting to the novice reader. But if you enjoy Joey's work in general, you'll undoubtedly like this series.
