Beautiful art really captures the ambience and emotion of the story and of Christmas. The kids and I enjoyed it a lot!

A carpenter repays the villagers who helped him build his house by carving a big, beautiful, nativity in the woods as a Christmas surprise. Romance's lush paintings carry the story, which has a few gaps and leans toward the overly-sentimental. Her use of yellows in firelight and candle glow adds a strong feeling of warmth to each scene. Lovely to look at, this would make a cozy bedtime book during the Christmas season.

Touching Christmas story!!! One of my all-time favorites!!! Gorgeous illustrations!!! The only downside...it's published in Canada so it's a little hard to find in the US.

A wonderful, heartfelt addition to holiday collections that reflect on the real meaning of Christmas. If I remember correctly, it's from one of my favorite Canadian publishers, Tundra Press.

I love the art of Trisha Romance, so when I saw this book, I ordered it on the spot. Sweet holiday story, and lovely illustrations - just as expected.

“Won’t you be lonely?” the youngest one asked.
With smiling eyes, the carpenter answered, “Don’t worry. I’m not alone. Does the moon feel lonely in a sky full of stars?”
