Some of the names of the songs are recognizable but the melodies of the actual songs do not match the actual song. For example, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater doesn't sound at all like the nursery rhyme. The only melodies that I'd say are rather accurate are Pop Goes the Weasel, The Jewish National Anthem and The Sleeping Beauty Waltz. The Sleeping Beauty Waltz is a travesty. The Rain Dance is the best melody in this whole dreadful book.

A supplemental book to the Piano Adventures Level 1 lesson book. There are great pieces in here for the early beginner to play as grade school contest pieces or in a recital. Fun pieces that employ the skills students are learning in the Lesson, Theory, and Technique books.
