A Grim Love: Can't Fight Time: Alpha Paranormal Shifter Romance
Nina is on the struggle bus and it just broke down right in front of Grim. Nina suffers from flashes of terrifying memories--each one more real than the last, none of which she remembers experiencing--ever since she was a little girl and has always searched for an explanation for them. When she meets the mysterious and frighteningly attractive Grim, Nina seems closer than ever to uncovering the source of her memory attacks. Grim has kept his supernatural status hidden as best he could but the unexpected attraction he feels for Nina has him torn between following the rules and following his heart. The path ahead for the two is unclear and fraught with danger. Nobody is safe, especially Nina, and Grim must either find a way through or make one.

What an incredible adventure this story takes you through! Told from Nina' s perspective this story will make you feel her feelings, her curiosity, her impatience, her passion, her friendship & her strength. Nina' s mother was killed, her father treads a fine line between being her father & an angry animal tipped over an invisible edge. Walking past a chapel near her college she sits & falls asleep - to be woken by a charismatic yet annoyingly frustrating Grim. He is a reaper but he just can not bring himself to take her soul, instead he kisses her & gives her his heart. His brother Uri meddlesome in the mix as she makes discoveries about her father. Using this knowledge Uri takes Nina to the Underworld, to From & all he'll breaks loose. The intelligence of the writing is undeniable. The story discusses the creation of the world's, life, death in a story that offers something for everyone. You won't be disappointed except to know that the next book isn't available yet. Gutted doesn't come close. This story has me addicted to turning pages, will have to grieve for a while before I can pick another book up.

Good read
I first want to start off by saying this was a good book and the story line was great. This book is one that kept my interest just enough that I wanted to keep reading in order to find out what happens next, but just barely. The characters were good but lacked depth, same as the story. This book has great potential but needs more developing. The idea of the story~a grim reaper who falls in love with a human~ is really inventive, not something I've read before. I really like this concept. I just wanted the book put together better, but other than that and the few grammatical errors, it was a good read.

I never expected to like this. It was a freebie Friday and it was really good. Who'd ever guess that grim reapers could be so interesting, here I thought they were just scary and morbid. But apparently they're also sexy, loving and apparently, flexible. The contract thing was interesting and I loved the weaving in of different folklores around reapers. Apparently, it's a world wide common thread! Wild!
Oh yeah, and my edition didn't have typos. Apparently, earlier ones did. So if you can update your version, might be a good idea.
Highly recommend.

Humor and romance I think are something that need to be combined more often. Something I noticed was that some words used were not used in the right context. If there is to be bigger and more unknown words used it is important to make sure it's used rightly otherwise it ends up being word vomit. Lots of potential for Miss. Phillips. I look forward to the continuation of this series.

Refreshing new author. Love her characters in this series and the Peaches and Bane series. Can't wait until next installments.
