Naked Crow
Sheila is a dental assistant with an average life, until one of her friends, Josy, goes missing and the police face a mystery. Josy disappeared in a naturist resort and there is no trace of her, only her bag that's left standing next to a tree. Sheila, who discovers a special ability within herself and also discovers an incredible friend, decides to find Josy on her own, but for that she will have to go into the naturist resort. Will she need to shed her clothes? Will she find her friend, and if she does, can she bring her home?

I absolutely loved Naked Crow, a fascinating novel with much depth to it. A mix of Native American Indian legend, fantasy and time travel, intertwined with a theme of naturism. Sounds crazy huh, well you have to read it, it's captivating and draws you in to the story and the second half of the book is incredibly tense and exciting.
At its heart is the story of Sheila, and her friend Josy. Josy is a naturist and suddenly and unexpectedly disappears while on a visit to the Five Oaks naturist resort.
Sheila decides to take matters into her own hands and investigates by taking a visit to Five Oaks, obviously for a non-naturist she finds it embarrassing and challenging but slowly she comes round to the idea of enjoying life clothes free. Her friends also come with her and try out naturism and enjoy it too. Meanwhile Sheila makes a connection with an ages old Native American shaman and finds she has second sight and then miraculously makes a connection with Josy. Josy is stranded in Five Oaks but in the very distant past. Can Sheila travel back in time and rescue Josy?
A wonderful read for naturists and non-naturists and I love the way the story has a nice naturist message merged with it, it doesn't preach or patronise. Highly recommended!

In this story we are introduced to Sheila, part Crow, and a witch. Her friend Josy, a co-worker and naturist (a practice Sheila swears and avows she will never take up) disappears from her local naturist resort. The police can not make anything of Josy's disappearance, and Sheila finds herself at the very place she was never going to ever visit, as it becomes clear this is no ordinary case of missing person.
What follows is at once a funny personal journey and an adventure filled with danger as Sheila finds herself calling on reserves she didn't know she possessed, making new friends along the way. Her life changes on several levels as she pits her wits to trying to solve this mystery, and facing the enormous question of whether she can rescue Josy - will she ever see her friend again?
A great read, and the first of a series, and Paul Z Walker's works have me hooked. I will continue with Sheila's adventures, and this series.

Different - Very Different
The language at the beginning almost stopped me from reading the whole book. Sentences ending in meaningless "... that" add nothing. As the book progressed the conversations improved. Then I couldn't stop reading. Get ready for an interesting approach to a spirit guide and naturism. Worthy addition to my library.

Very good story that let's you escape reality
I read this story after reading one of this author's recent books. This being one of his first, I was prepared for him to be developing as a writer. Other than a few grammatical errors I found the story to be quite entertaining. It was one cloaked in mystery and fantasy. I truly enjoyed reading it.

Intriquing
I must admit that I was a bit unsure when I started to read Naked Crow, but that changed after about 5 pages. It is well written and entertaining. Personally, I really enjoyed it.

Nice book, naturism is well portrayed, the story is a bit strange but fun, could have been a bit longer.

I like most of P.Z. Walker's books, but I'm not much into fantasy. I like his scifi.

Amazing
I can't add any more than others before myself and look forward to reading the other 4 in the series. Wish this would be made into a movie series.
