I Found My Heart in Prague

Rate this book
Fame…fortune…and a bright future. Christopher was on the fast track to all three. Then one day everything changed with just six little words, ”You don’t have much time left.” For some it might be a death sentence. For Christopher, it’s the beginning of a journey.

This is a story about Christopher’s trip across Europe. Along the way he meets a spellbinding woman with the beauty of a goddess, the wisdom of a best friend, the impulsiveness of a pixie, and a sadness he must investigate. Winter takes on the role of tour guide, as the pair trek across Europe getting into trouble, and solving each other’s problems along the way. Once in Prague, Christopher realizes what is truly important…finding the one person who understands you…finding the person who will steal your heart and never let go.

Winter and Christopher don’t have much time together left on the Earth. Still, this isn’t a love story ending with a broken heart.

Experience how love can conquer an entire city. Let yourself get swept away by possibility. Above all else, be inspired when Christopher realizes, “I Found My Heart in Prague.”

I would give this book ten stars if I could! Wow!

The book starts out with Chris Bryant playing for the Mavericks and getting hurt during a game. Then the story takes a turn for the worse when he is diagnosed with a brain tumor.

But is it really for the worse? Obviously, having an inoperable brain tumor is never a good thing and it ended as it always does. But it's the stuff between the living and the dying that matters and Chris didn't really start living until he met Winter in the Alps. The tragedy is it ended too soon. But as I said, it's what's between the living and the dying that matters.

I loved how this was written. It's actually a journal and he starts it until he can't do it anymore. Then, Winter took it over and finally Isabella finished it. I laughed and I cried and I cried some more. I kept hoping for a miracle for him.

This book was fiction but Mark Cuban is not a fictitious character and the story was so real that I ran Christopher Bryant through Google. I wasn't so sure if he was real or not. There are a few out there but none that played for the Dallas Mavericks that I could find. I'm not up on basketball so I wouldn't recognize any of the other names anyway but that's just how real the story was.

It was so well written, so witty and so sad that I couldn't help but give it five stars. It was a quick read, too and I had it done in just a matter of hours.

Great read!

A touching and life-affirming story that unfolds in a unique way. I'd recommend it to general romance readers who don't mind a little "language" and are in the mood for something that isn't necessarily steamy but is full of heart.
