OK, Guilty, I purchased this book for 3 reasons, and 3 reasons only. Guilty as charged!!! The three reasons: 1. proceeds to the Pink Avon Breast Cancer Team (always a good thing). 2. J. L. Berg and 3. JB McGee. I'm sure that the other authors offer some wonderful stories as well, but these two had already captured me with their previous works, and I am hooked. First J.L. Berg, and her wonderful, heartfelt Ready series. If you are a fan of When You're Ready, you know the precious story of Logan a ...more

A Bend in the Road by Tess Oliver

This was a short, sweet novella that you're bound to love. I really hope to see more Ryder and Janie in the near future, cause this was such a tease.
There's nothing like a girl coming to her senses with a sexy, tattooed cowboy.

Arc provided by author for honest opinions.

You can read this story alone, but if you are a J.L. Berg fan, you MUST read When You Are Ready first. This takes place between the end and the epilogue of the first in the series. Her stories will pull you in with smiles, tears, and twinges in all the right places. I can't get enough of her writing. I have become a J.L. Berg Junkie and she has made it in the list of my Favorite authors. Keep em comin Sweets.

I bought this anthology purely because I wanted to read Jessica Sorensen's short story. And seeing as the proceeds are going to such a good cause, I thought it would be well worth the money. I hadn't previously tried any of the other authors work, so it was interesting to get a taste for some different works.

Of the 17 short stories in this anthology, I read 13 of them, DNF'd 2, didn't read 1 because of the authors warning about content (I knew I wouldn't enjoy it, so I really appricated the warn

I simply love the start to this new series. I am a fan of the Rebel Walking series so as soon as I seen this, I knew it was going to be a must read!! There is so much emotion in this book that you can literally feel it jumping off the pages at you. The connection and chemistry between Liam and Livi is unique and gripping. Their relationship doesn't start in a "normal" way, but the chemistry was hot, sparking, and intense. The twist and turns of this story are ones you will never see coming. Hila ...more
Tiffany~are there TWINS in it?
I didn't read all of the stories because unfortunately some were parts of series I haven't yet read but plan on reading. I think in an anthology it's better to put the first story or a prequel in a series or a standalone story instead, not a book in the middle of a series. It kind of sucks for people who buy it but haven't read some of the series that have pieces in this book. Overall however this was a great book for an even GREATER CAUSE and that in my opinion makes it a 5 STAR READ! My favori ...more
It's a 2star because the writing was ....passable.

Buy this for a "good cause".............JUST DON'T READ IT!!

So, when I "heard" about this (apparently) amazing book coming out for a "good cause" .... I snatched it up!!

What I DON'T appreciate is the manipulation by authors, to write a partial story, so that they can get you to buy a next book, or even a book that gives you more of a story you just read.

I would rather pay more for one FULL book that was going to a great cause, than manipulated.

So first off, purchasing this book contributed to a great cause. So think of it as a bonus that you get seventeen stories with your purchase. Some stories are longer than others, some give you give you just a taste so you can get the full story later. But one thing is for sure, you will be adding these authors to your to be read list.

This was a great collection of stories by brilliant authors. It was definitely worth the money paid for it, especially when it was also for charity. I love it when author's give back!
