This is the THIRD and Final book in the series.

Waking up in Hell is not where anyone wants to be, but this is exactly what has happened to Halo Bay. After being tricked into a lustful night of pleasure she now accepts her new responsibility as a caregiver to a child she finds impossible to hate. Just as she starts to regain her strength, a new player enters the game that may cause her to let her guard down when she needs it the most. After a daring attempt at freedom she will soon discover that her feelings will need to be set aside if she is to fulfill her obligations as a protector of humanity and a branded Hellhound. Vampires, Hellhounds and Werewolves will need to unite as one, if they plan to defeat the ultimate enemy that is rising from the depths of Hell itself. Hellhound: Prince of Fire (Hellhound, #3)

by Rue Volley

Expected release date 22nd February 2014
Book 3 in this series and it is also the final one.

Halo is coping with her new born son who is growing at an alarming rate, she doesn't want her son to have anything to do with his father Lucifer she tries to leave Hell but Lucifer tricks her into leaving and keeping their son Jet with him. As Gunner and the others are gathering wolves and vampires to fight with him against Lucifer.

I love the characters in this series and have grown very attached to them, especially Lucifer and his 2 dicks he is the ultimate bad boy and will always have my devotion no matter what he does wrong. Gunner is another character that I love and even more so by the end of this book. He is very high up the hotness scale for me! I can't not mention Halo what a woman she is and I like her so much. The chemistry between her and Gunner, the hate she feels for Lucifer makes very entertaining reading. Don't even get me started on the sex.... all I will say is that it is HOT and didn't disappoint.
There is a twist that I did not see coming and that is part of the reason that this book has messed with my head so much.

I felt a great excitement and sadness about reading this because I knew it was the final instalment in the series. I also felt that it took a while for me to get into it but when I did oh crap!! I have never ever in my whole reading experience felt the way I have at the end of this is was absolutely speechless and was in tears.
I could not find the words and am still struggling to explain what I am feeling. I know one thing for sure I am not ready for this to end and I demand more!! This has not only got under my skin it has burrowed itself deep inside me so I will never forget.

Now I must go back to my sobbing and urge myself to forgive the author for doing this to me!

I received and arc copy in exchange for an honest review

**This book was given to me in exchange for a honest review.**

Excellent Read! Couldn't put it down for a second. Rue Volley has worked her gift of the art of writing to the extreme with this one. The book has many twists and turns. It will keep you on edge with never a dull moment.

The main character Halo has a rough start in this book. She has a huge decision to make that would be hard for anyone. She knows to be strong and determined if she wants to win the war though. She goes through many changes and ends up with many things to cope with right before the final battle. She also learns so many things about the other hellhounds that make her view of them change a few times in this book. She proves herself as a strong person that I admire greatly.

The hellhounds have a lot of changes going on. The upcoming final battle of good against evil is approaching fast and they need help. They have to get the help they need from enemies and that makes them all on edge. There are hidden secrets that each of the hellhounds have that will shock you.

Lucifer is at his plotting and scheming again. His master plan to take over everything seems to be working great. Of course there are some things he had not planned on. He still makes sure his final battle will happen no matter what.

Excellent book. Written perfectly with no dull moments. You should read the first 2 books before reading this to set the scene more for this final story. You have to read this book!!

“Let me love you,” he whispered to me. Sigh. How do I put into words this amazing story Ms. Volley has written for us? This series has been one I can’t get enough of and hope to see more. This just can’t be the end.
Halo’s life has changed. New emotions she has never experienced before will come to light. But how will she handle them? Who will stand by her side when it all comes to an end?
Ms. Volley knows exactly how to pull her readers in and take them on a ride of a lifetime.

My review for: Hellhound: Prince of Fire (book three) by Rue Volley My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Shanna Roberson

Awesome-frackin’-sauce! Yerp. Rue Volley has done it again, but I never had any doubts. I knew it was going to be explosive, sexy and shocking. What I didn’t expect was the emotional roller coaster the ending of this brilliant trilogy turned out to be! I won’t lie…I cried like a little girl.

Without giving away too many spoilers, Prince of Fire starts right after the intense ending of HH2. Halo and her son trying to adjust in the bowels of hell. With the heart of a mother, Halo can’t hate her son for his lineage and is immediately enamored with him. It gives her all the more reason to try and keep his father from tainting him with his wickedness.

With enemies turning allies, a war begins to brew because the birth of Halo’s son isn’t just life changing for her, it will change heaven, hell and everything on earth. He will either break the world or save it but no one is taking any chances. The Hellhounds gear up for the begin of the end even if it means losing all that they love…

There are no words. My immediate thought after finishing it? I want to read it again and again. What an amazing ending to a phenomenal series! I am heartbroken to see it end but Rue did all the characters justice. It was brilliant, addictive and played my emotions like fiddle. Talented beyond words, Rue is a once in a lifetime storyteller and I will devour any and all books she writes without any hesitation!

I bought the first book and it was a mix of horrible and delightful. I loved the unique story and steamy scenes, but the editing killed me. The way the author used the word 'as' as though it meant 'and' drove me up the wall....exp: I made a rude comment AS he got mad at me....should be AND he got mad at me...whatever. The plot jumps around a lot. Sometimes it's written in first person. Sometimes it's written in third person. Sometimes it's past tense, sometimes it's present tense.

Okay, those sorts of blunders usually earns a 3 Star review from me....But there was more!

SPOILER ALERT:
Besides all those errors I mentioned, I still bought the second and third book ONLY because I felt invested in the characters and I was utterly curious about where the story would go, but I cringed and screamed my way through the 3rd book because there's a plot hole so huge, so massive and glaring. 1st book, Halo's mom took Halo and left her father as soon as she found out her dad was sneaking into her bedroom at night and beating her up. Later her mom died of cancer. It was a big part of Halo's personality and quite possibly the reason she had a bit of saving grace....2nd book, God himself shows Halo her mom chilling in Heaven. I thought that was really cool....3RD book, Not only is Halo's mom NOT in heaven, Halo's mom did NOT die of cancer, Halo's mom did NOT save Halo from her abusive dad. She committed suicide, abandoning Halo with her dad, and went straight to HELL where she became a totally evil demon whore and a huge plot device for the 3rd book....Very Annoying.

How do you protect your son when his father is Lucifer and you are sworn to protect humanity from demons?
Hellhound: Prince of Fire by Rue Volley is a continuation of Halo Bay's story. The story picks up as Halo nurtures her child. The intense feeling motherhood brings to her are juxtaposed against being force to have a relationship with Lucifer to be able to see her son. The Hellhounds meanwhile are knocked on their heels by Halo's child and the conception.
There is a bit of world building as the Hellhounds prepare for an epic battle to save humanity. The relationships between the Hellhounds are strengthened or stretched to the breaking point. The intricate relationships and back stories that have been building all come together in HH3. The build up to the epic battle is intense. Just when you think you know what is going to happen and where the story is going Ms. Volley throws a wrench in the works (more like the whole tool chest really).
This book was more emotional for me than the last two. The sacrifices and decisions are more intense. And the story is more epic. That all of this can be accomplished in 135 short pages is truly amazing. The story completes, yet, I am hoping there is a way to continue. I will miss the characters and their interactions.
I am grateful for the opportunity to read Hellhound: Prince of Fire as an ARC. Now I am headed off to purchase it for a few friends.

Perhaps one day, Hellhounds will once again be needed, and we will be here.....

Once again, Ms. Volley, has won my heart and soul with her phenomenal writing style and has shown us a magnificent world. A world of love, loss, romance, and good versus evil. A world where evil may not be as evil as some think and that humanity is still alive and outshines and triumphs over everything. This story is shocking, exotic, erotic, and all Rue Volley.

This spectacular story holds a special part of my heart and soul. This is by far my favorite one to date that this author has written. This story really touched me on a level that I won't forget and will treasure. As I type this review, I am reminded of all that I learned from this story. Yes, this magnificent masterpiece will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end and I highly recommend this to all adults who love an awesome paranormal love story with a twist, though, this story is not for the faint of heart. I was totally shocked, amazed, and intrigued by this story and all I have left to say is "Well done, Rue Volley, well done!"

I received a beta copy of this book, in return for an honest review.

I can't even give this 1 star, and that is sad because I saw so many 4 and 5 stars that I thought this book finally made the other two better. If anything, there were a TON of errors. Almost like the author forgot what she wrote in the other two novels. There will be a couple spoilers... sorry.

The thing that really irked me the most was the son. He had all the traits and what not of being Satan's son, but then suddenly he's not!?! That was my main WTH moment. The author did not give him any traits of his actual father, she made a great effort to give him a ton of Satan's traits, and then is basically like, "oops, never mind! Not Satan's kid!". SO I was completely disappointed. Also, the ending just kind of happens... like you blink and everything has magically changed. That could have worked had the rest of the novel involved some kind of magic qualities where stuff changes in the blink of an eye. In the end, the whole series upset me because there was room for soooo much potential.

I received an e-ARC copy of this last installment by the author in exchange for an unbiased review! Thank You Rue! I also purchased a copy to support the author's sacrifices made to bring us this Awesome tale.

OMGosh where to start?
"Let me love you," he whispered to me. That line got to me as I read it, and read it a few more times! Rue Volley has done it again! This is the best writing I have seen from the gifted author. Way to go Rue Volley!

Loved the ending, not what I expected at all, it is even better. I don't use spoilers, so I will just say that this is a multi-layered, suspenseful, and at times horrific tale. The twists and turns kept me flipping the pages until I reached, "The End." Well played Rue Volley!

This is an 18+ short story series that begins with
#1 HELLHOUND: Hellhound, continues with
#2 HELLHOUND: Dogs at War and is completed with
#3 HELLHOUND: Prince of Fire... I really enjoyed this series.

Prince of Fire was the third and final installment in the Hellhound Trilogy and started off from that brilliant cliffhanger in Dogs of War.

Halo is trapped in Hell with Lucifer and her son. A baby she didn't even know she could concieve and who was made with the personification of all evil. Now Lucifer has his progeny though and he doesn't need Halo and her human feelings swaying his sons rise to glory.

Really don't want to say anymore as it'll spoil it and like with any book the best bits are what make you gasp which this certainly did with all it's plot twists and character struggles.

The ending was the best out come for all and I wasn't expecting it one bit!

Dorin was my main man in this so really hoping he has his own spinoff series *hint hint*
Sad the Series has ended but it wasn't drawn out or overworked so definintely ended on a high note.

So, this series, for the most part, was good. As I mentioned in previous reviews, the grammatical errors were plenty, and that stayed the same for this last book as well. Also, as with the first 2, things seemed too rushed. The last thing I have to pick on is the fact that everything magically turned out all HEA. Not that I dislike HEA's, however I do like a little bit of realistic creativity to be involved. People don't keep coming back to life after multiple deaths and don't get everything they ever wanted. But, even though it seems as if I'm tearing this series down, I'm not. There were just some quirks that I personally found slightly displeasing. Overall, though, it is a nice series to read, quick and entertaining. It's not a waste of time, if this is your type of genre. Enjoyable books, all in all.

HELLHOUND 3: an amazing book from beginning to end.
Written perfectly with no dull moments. This story will take you away from your everyday reality for a while.
I really enjoyed this series and I’m glad I found you Rue Volley.
I felt a great sadness at the end of book 3 because I knew it was the last instalment of the series.
Yes, I’m like that, when I fall for an amazing author, an excellent book, unforgettable characters, I want MORE.
I want more of Halo and Gunner, more of God and Lucifer, more of Dorin, more of Jet… This just can’t be the end.
Loved the ending, not what I expected at all. Wow, wow, wow, what an absolutely way to end this series.
Thank you a thousand times Rue.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have been left in awe after reading a book. However, I have never been flooded with such overwhelming emotions as I have today after finishing the last book in this epic series. I read the last few chapter through blurry eyes as the tears flowed freely….
The final battle is on the crust of the horizon and Halo struggles to understand the great scheme of thing. This series had been incredible right from the very start as you see and experience everything through the heart and mind of Halo. I am truly saddened to see this series come to an end. However like they say; “All good things must come to an end.”

Wow, what an awesome addition to the Hell Hound Series. Rue has done it again with this book. Full of surprises and action packed. This book will leave you wondering what is going to happen next, after each page. I absolutely loved it. I so want there to be more of these books. I love Halo and Gunner, Ari, Finn, and Dorin. You'll meet new people in this book, some you will like, others you will hate.

Finally, the end has come. A series that can potentially rise to stardom if the author has only invested to hire an editor. She has the right idea, but it has gone straight to the waste basket for she has not evolved it in the right direction. If you are seeking just for an entertainment with no logic to come along, then this is your reading material. In fairness to her hard work, my rating is 2.5/5 stars.
