Rate this book
“Let the Breeze slip through your fingers as your troubles drift away.”My name is Patrick Harrington, and they called me The Breeze. I trafficked drugs throughout the American southwest for fifteen years. I had the merchandise to take away people’s troubles, and then I was gone like a breeze. But no matter how many people I dealt oblivion to, I could never escape my demons. This is how a lifetime of trauma, dysfunction, bad choices, and addiction was healed and redeemed. With his characteristic wit, humor, and brutal honesty, Patrick brings you along for the roller coaster ride that was his life. From the halls of an orphanage in Indiana to the drug scene of the 1970s and ’80s, the rough and tumble alleys of Marion, Indiana, to the highest building in Saudi Arabia, Patrick’s life is as unique and exciting as the man himself.Written from the perspective of Patrick and his friends and family, Recreating Patrick, an Inside Job; will be a book unlike any you have read. You will not only understand Patrick through his experiences but also through those who know him best.Watch as Patrick is recreated from the inside out through grace and healing.

Recreating Patrick an inside job,

This is a true story of less than humble beginnings. This journey was shared, not to judge Patrick but to share that you too can turn your life around. So if your reading this book and your at the bottom of the pit. Continue reading. There is Hope for everyone who believes in himself and trusts God to help them change.
This book is not for Sissies. It will rattle your brain and touch your soul. There is no promise that you will not cry. Some of the secrets revealed were painful agonizing and raw. Letting the Demons out can be freeing. John 8:32 “The Truth Will Set You Free” Amen

This book was so compelling I had a hard time putting it down.
God always had a plan for Patrick and his siblings. Pat’s life was such a struggle he had to fight his way through many battles for himself and his siblings. When Patrick finally surrendered his life to God everything fell into place.
If this book saves just one alcoholic or drug addict it will be worth the agony of remembering this journey to hell and back.

Written by John Baxter:

I have been friends with Patrick for 50 plus years. I discovered things about his early childhood, that I never knew. Other parts of his life, I was very familiar with, and was actually a part of. Patrick served as an inspiration to me during our High School years, which helped me become a better person, and eventually a Man. He always held down two jobs, and helped his Mother raise his siblings, while the rest of us were running from responsibility!! I know now why we lost touch for awhile, because if that hadn’t of occurred, one or both of us wouldn’t have been around, to tell about it. Knowing now all the things that Patrick went through to get to this successful stage of his life, gives me a great sense of pride, to know that no matter what, you can overcome your demons, and make yourself a good life!! Patrick is my Forever Friend!! I will always have his back, and I know he has mine!!

I cried. Some of my friends said they read the book all the way through in one night. I couldn't. It was too sad. Children should be raised. No one raised Patrick. Pat just grew up. He just grew up in some of the most awful circumstances. So, I'd put the book down and start over the next day. And I cried, again. Recovery from his young life, his experiences in the service, and the mistakes of his young adult life to now are what forgiveness is all about.

From the scared young boy at the orphanage to the military man to the pensive outdoorsman, we see all sides of Patrick. I believe that there truly is something for everyone to take away from his book. I think that no matter where you are in your life, his story can touch your heart and open your eyes. Patrick’s story is a testament of not just how people can change, but how you can turn things around and come out bigger and better than you ever imagined. Hard work and humility will take you far.
