Rate this book
This compact desktop reference book is based on the "Random House Webster's School and Office Thesaurus," one of the most comprehensive and contemporary word guides today. The book is in easy-to-use dictionary format, with over 11,000 main entries, over 400 synonym studies conveniently placed at their alphabetical entries, and over 200,000 synonyms and antonyms. These and many other unique features enable the user to accomplish a variety of functions, to find words easily and logically, to understand the differences between words that may share a basic sense but are not used similarly, to build a strong vocabulary through the variety of choices shown for each word, and to improve word usage through demonstration of a word in a simple phrase or sentence. Authoritative, up-to-date, accessible, and compact, "Roget's Desk Thesaurus" contains exactly the kind of information to make term papers, business reports, personal letters - and everything else you write - the best they can be.

It's a thesaurus, so there's not much that can be said about it as a review. [return]The layout is acceptable and considering I'm most likely using it to verify my own knowledge, I can't really call it out on any errors.
