This is one of the few books I re-read every couple of years, hopefully to gain insight as I grow in faith. It is a must-read for any Catholic Charismatic, to get a detailed, play-by-play of how a revival first ignited. The renewal is now a shadow of what it once was (at least in the United States), but even in this enthusiasm one can receive hints as to how to bask in the glow of the Holy Spirit, even today.

Summary: The story of the Duquesne weekend when, in 1967 (?) students gathered for a retreat and were Baptized in the Holy Spirit. It is often believed to be the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

Why I Read This: My spiritual director recommended it to me. She also recommended another book which I will start soon.

Review: It was interesting. I think that it met my need to understand a little bit about the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, but it doesn't delve into the theology of it or how it fits into the rest of the Church. I think that I want to explore that more as well as pray before I make any decisions about involvement in the Charismatic Renewal.
