This book includes the history of calligraphy, how it is used in other countries, and how to actually write using calligraphic letters. I have always been fascinated by calligraphy, especially Japanese calligraphy. It reminds me of when writing was an art, not just a font on a computer.

Great illustrations but could have done with some written instructions, particularly for beginners like me.

I borrowed this book as wanted to learn more for my pathfinder calligraphy class. I found this incredibly useful.
