Fully Automatic

Rate this book
You might think you know Brad’s story, but think again. There’s so much more to his story than what Valerie knew. See Brad before Valerie came into his life and, when he was playing back burner to Ethan, see what Brad was up to when no one else in the band was looking.

Valerie might have thought she and Brad were inevitable and maybe, in the back of his mind, Brad might have felt that way too, but he didn’t just sit around waiting for her. See the secret side of Brad that you had no idea existed. What kept the driving force behind Fully Automatic focused even while his heart was breaking?

This story can be read as a standalone.

“If you love him, I’ll support your decision, and I’ll never say anything about that night again. Ever....
But if you tell me you don’t, I’ll fight for you.”

She’d just set him on the path he’d follow for the rest of his life. It even sounded melodramatic in his head, but he knew - he knew he’d never love another woman like he loved Valerie.

Bullet blew my mind, so it’s safe to say that here I am once more, riding the wave of book euphoria. Bradley Payne, in all his rock-star-grease-monkey-guitar-wielding glory is the heart, soul and fucking glue that holds this series together. He is the foundation on which it was built. The sacrifices he made, the lengths he took to keep his dream, his family and his brothers together while bleeding on the inside will have you experiencing this story and his character in a whole new light.

Bullet fans will finally know what it was like for Brad as we experience, in his own words, the journey of Bullet / Fully Automatic, as he takes us right back to the beginning - back to the garage, and to the moment when the young, naïve and beautiful Valerie Quinn entered his world, for it never to be the same again...

Brad's perspective, although retold in third person, is hardcore, real, honest storytelling at its absolute finest.

Fully Automatic covers pivotal scenes that arose in Bullet, but with enough deviation to make it a solid story all its own. This is not a rehash of Bullet but more of a reflective angle that highlights the toxicity of not only Val and Ethan’s relationship, but the extent of which certain actions were covered up in order to protect the ones you love. Although, Fully Automatic is not a love story in the traditional sense, but could be considered more a story of survival.

There is no young man more sincere and forgiving than Bradley Payne. He is hardworking, dedicated and hungry for his band to succeed, but it’s hard, especially when your best friend is royally fucked up and the female face of the band is one that haunts his dreams night and day.

When things take their toll he finds an outlet and I’ll warn you now, it’s not always pretty! In-fact, Brad’s pain is so profound, so tangible that you can almost taste it. My heart broke for him in many retold scenes because most of the time he suffered alone. His selflessness and penchant for keeping promises will leave you in awe as he battles daily to keep the motor ticking over and their unfulfilled dreams alive.

Jade C. Jamison has delivered an amazing Rock Star series with the Bullet saga. Her characters get stronger and stronger as the series progresses, to the point where they now feel like family. If you love your rock stars, then embrace your inner rock goddess and read it, already!

So... I LOVED Bullet even though it drained the life out of me! Seeing the same story through Brad's eyes brought a better understanding to the missing pieces of Bullet. We know what was in Val's heart, and we wondered time and time again why she couldn't just see past Ethan for one minute and realize what was right in front of her...and for me, we wondered where Brad's head was all this time that he stood by and held that never ending flame for Val. In Fully Automatic you get to see that the guy you thought Brad was...the best friend, the bands encouragement and biggest driver, the lover, the hard worker and supporter...really is all of that and so much more. This we like Bullet but with a much lighter tone, which was refreshing. I loved Brad from way back, and now I just love him more. Thanks Jade! You really are kick ass!!!!

I recevied this book from the author for an honest review.

*Sigh* Incase you don't already know, I am a Bradley Payne groupie. I loved everything about him in this series and was literally going crazy waiting, waiting, WAITING for this book. I mean he is Daddy Brad *SWOON* Yes I will go toe to toe with anyone who says he is their book boyfriend.

So if you havent read Bullet, you need to STOP!! Go and buy it and then Rock Bottom before you even read this book. This book is Brad's POV from the toxic realtionship of Val and Ethan in Bullet and continues to Rock Bottom. This book does give you a glimpse into the lives of all the characters after Rock Bottom which was a great "look" for me.

So this book is letting us readers see into the soul of Bradley Payne. He is a tough looking, bad ass rocker with the sweetest, most sensitive, tender heart imaginable. The book starts with Brad and his first love Leah. She is very Val with her innocent behavior and shy nature. Brad is completely broken over her because she never really loved him....What the hell is she thinking is my thing...the man is PERFECT!!! Ok but I dont mind tat's and long hair......Then we see Brad with one more relationship pre-Valorie Quinn. This was kinda shocking for me because my sweet Brad is a naughty boy....*snickers*. I think Misti was good for Brad but also not so good to introducing him to the whole sex with out emotion???!!! OMG doin't even get me goong about the crazy stripper Sugar....ROLLS MY EYES!!!

When Brad meets Val we get to look back at scenes from Bullet. Yes they brought out all the emotions i have from the first book...especially the party scene!! AND Yes I was still yelling at Val for picking Ethan EVERY DAMN TIME!! We also got to see his girlfriend Karen who wasnt a big part of Bullet. I kinda felt somewhat bad for her. She loved someone who doesnt return her love...kinnnnda like what Brad was dealing with........

So I will admit this book was so tough to read. It was tough because I love this character and seeing him hurt was hard to read. I KNEW in Bullet he was struggling but to actually read the words of pain....*pouting* I am so excited to read more from these characters. I cant wait to see Zane and Nicks books......

I started this book tentatively because, well to put it simply, I love Ethan and all his flaws, and I just hadn’t warmed to Brad in the previous books.

Having assumed this was just going to be Brad's POV, I was sorely mistaken; it was so much more. Yes, the storyline mirrored previous books but you got to see a completely different side to Brad from that seen from Ethan's perspective.

Brad has been in love with Valerie Quinn since he first laid eyes on her but unfortunately, for him, Val’s eyes were fixed elsewhere, namely Ethan. Brad knew from the outset that his heart belonged to Val but he sat by patiently as he watched his best friend, Ethan, and the woman he loved, Val, try to make their dysfunctional relationship work. Break up after break up, Brad was ever-present in the wings waiting and hoping that each time Val would realise that her relationship with Ethan was toxic.

“I know you’re into Ethan, and as long as you are, nothing’s gonna happen between us. But I want you to know I’ll wait.”

Val in the previous books has been written as a strong character who knows her mind but in this book I couldn’t help but call her all the names under the sun for what she put Brad through. She was cold, heartless, calculating, and deceitful but most of all unworthy of the feelings Brad had for her.

I really enjoyed reading the story of the formation of Fully Automatic again but from Brad’s perspective. At times the story lacked some momentum but having read the previous books you knew he story was building slowly and carefully towards its conclusion.

“He could feel what she was feeling. It was deep and soulful, and there were no words for it. It wasn’t just love. It was more than that. It was deeper than anything he’d ever known, and he knows then that it wasn’t just him. She felt it too.”

This book is part of a series and I would recommend reading the first three books before this one. It does have a HEA though and no cliff-hanger.

I simply love my band-based books and this is not the exception. Everything Jade C Jamison writes has me hooked from the first word on the first page.

Copy kindly received from the author in return for an honest review.

First of all, I love Jade and everything about Jade. She could write a book about a dog giving birth to cats and I would probably love it..... it's her style of writing that grabs you and makes you fall in love Emotionally with her characters. You feel every emotion they are feeling.

Second...I received this ARC for an honest review from Jade and her team.

Fully Automatic takes us back to Bullet through my poor sweet sexy Brad's POV..... She isn't like others POV's I have read in the past (by other authors) who say it's a POV and then give us the exact same book over again with a different sentence here and there.

Jade took us on Brad's journey of falling in love with Val and watching her go through the emotional roller coaster of a relationship she has with Ethan. UGH.....I had forgotten how much I wanted to HATE Ethan in Bullet. I actually did tear up and cry a bit on several occasions. Just knowing how much he loved VAL and then having his heart ripped in two time and time again....... yet always sticking to what he said "I'll wait for you".

Brad was there time and time again for Val when she needed him. Hell......he was even there for Ethan on one to many occasions, if you ask me, saving that man from death!

We feel his need and his passion to succeed in this book as an artist. He did so much for Fully Automatic and pushed and pushed to make sure they were on top of the game and made it BIG!

We knew in Bullet how much he loved Val and how much he wanted the band to succeed, but in this one we REALLY see how passionate he was about both. How he truly loves Val and seriously did "wait for her". I don't know many men who would sit back and watch a train wreck of a relationship unfold in front of him and still be the supportive best friend.

As much as he was in love with Val, he did try to have some "FUN" in between the on again...off again...let's try this....I'm back with Ethan relationship he and Val shared.

We are reunited with our fave Characters from previous books as well. Jade did another FAN-F**KING-TASTIC job!

I can't wait for you to get this book and continue to follow the lives of those band members we Love and often Hate ;)

5 stars

AMAZING job JADE!

5 "Rock star Rockin" stars

Oh Brad!! I thought I knew all about you!! After reading Fully Automatic (Brad 's POV) I feel like I can honestly say I do!! I was worried just a smidge that this was gonna be Bullet, just told in Brads POV but I couldn't have been more wrong. I don't know why I even doubted Jade =) She has yet to let me down.

Brad didn't get to Val quickly and in Fully Automatic we get a behind the scenes look at the fun he had while waiting in the shadows to get his one TRUE girl. I love Ethan (Brad 's BF) but have always been a Brad fan!! And he surely didn't let me down in this one <3 I never really felt like Val deserved Brad and after reading this I think you will agree that that Bitch, Val Quinn, doesn't deserve him!!

I LOVE my Rocker books and I can always count on Jade to serve them up to me on a Silver Platter!!! If you have kept up with the series, you will see Jade has wrote us another "rockin" 5 star read!!

I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced copy of this book. If you have been reading the Bullet series this is Brad's story. It is not Bullet told from Brad's POV, although there is some of the book that is that. Brad's story involves Val and Ethan and a lot of what happened in Bullet made Brad the man he was, so yes some of it will be familiar from Bullet. However, Fully Automatic is so much more. Brad clearly got up to some fun stuff while no one was watching. I have to say I was firmly on Team Jet before reading Fully Automatic, but now I'm definitely Team Brad. Brad was a bit of a surprise for me, I mean we all know from Bullet that he loved Val, but I think the readers will be surprised at the heart and soul of the man behind the success of the band. My favorite Bullet book yet.

I won an ARC a few weeks back I haven't read "Bullet" I had decided that I would just go ahead and read this one first then go back to read Bullet later. I loved Brad but sometimes I didn't know if I wanted to choke him, slap the sh*t out of him or jump in the book and hold him for the emotionally trauma he had with Valerie. Brad was totally committed to keeping Valerie in his heart no matter what side she was on especially when she was Ethan's girlfriend then eventually his wife. I know I should of read Bullet first but I was so engrossed in this book that it was easy to follow along because Brad's POV throughout the book so it wasn't hard to figure out where his heart wanted to be. You can tell throughout the story that Valerie doesn't mean to hurt Brad in anyway but she's so damn hung up on Ethan that I wanted to b*tch slap her for going back to him over and over again. But for Brad to always pining over her even though he tried to be with other women, hell he even had the woman that did his tats move in with him with no questions asked on her part though secretly you know she's in love with him and she wants Brad 100% but he could never give her what she needed nor wanted. His heart belonged to Val. I am so happy with the ending even though not reading the other book I loved reading his POV and what he wanted and how he longed for it. Jade did a amazing job on this book and I will be getting the other two between Bullet and Fully Automatic. You rock Jade and thank you so much for letting me have the opportunity to reading that ARC :) I look forward to more from you!

I am adding a bit more to this because I finished Bullet the other day then came back to read some of the review that were left and was quite frankly disappointed in the 3 star review! Seriously? This book was not a repeat from Bullet far from it and I am not one to dissect a book! You can get right from the review that this person 'skimmed' through the book thinking the worse then trashing it!!!!! You have got to be kidding me right? Did you even read the whole thing? I would be my bank account you didn't cause there are small flashbacks from Bullet but there is A LOT that we didn't know about Brad Payne and what he was feeling and what he went trough. I don't know how many times I was wiping my face with tears because of Brad's suffering through this book and without reading Bullet which by the way you don't have to cause Jade does NOT do cliffhangers which to me is fine doesn't bother me either way so its easily read with or without in any order you choose for that matter.

I am true to my word on things if I don't like a book doesn't mean some others don't and I won't leave a bad review for that author I understand everyone is different with their genre's but to leave a review that makes us all think yep you didn't read the whole thing and automatically jumped to the end and posted your 4 sentence review!!!! Wow I am so impressed!

So I hope that others that have LOVED and FOLLOWED Jade through the journey of this series continue to read these cause I know I will I am very new to this series and I can guarantee to you right this second I am getting Feverish and Rock Bottom because I know they are going to kick ass cause that's the way Jade does it!!!!!

Only thing I ask is can I get my own Brad down here in Tennessee? Rock on Jade!

*I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review*

Ok so to start off I would love to say...again...that I love Jade !! Her writing is so raw and full of truth you cannot help but feel all the emotions her characters are feeling. It is down right gritty and there is NO FLUFF !!

I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. This book brings all my emotions full circle. Brad has always been a genuine great guy , right from the start he always thought of others before himself all the while doing everything he could to make a name for his band and achieve his dreams. That never changes , he is the 1 constant in this band and in this series.

Fully Automatic starts out with Brad in high school realizing he is in love with his girlfriend Leah. Of course with what we know of Brad from reading the rest of the series , he is not very lucky in love. He is the only guy in the band that has any self control and he really doesn't appreciate the way the others treat women. That is not to say Brad doesn't have his fun , but he does so discretely and might I add he is very hot while doing so !! He falls for Val right from the start , this we also know from reading Bullet , he wants her , attempts to make that known but decides that he will wait forever because he wants Val to want him and only him. We now see how badly his heart is toyed with but he somehow still manages to not go overboard and be the type of bad boy rock star that makes you sick. He deserves to have the fun he does and good for him that he finds it !!

It is so amazing to read about him falling more and more in love with Val while she is transforming from a young lady into a woman. He is so proud of her and it just oozes out of him. He is there for her through thick and thin as he is for every member of that band. Brad is such a hard worker and does everything he can to get the band where they need to be. He truly amazes me. It was hard to read about how Ethan treated Val but it was worse to read about how he treated Brad. He saved Ethan so many times and I truly feel that Ethan really just did things purposely to hurt Brad. The fact that Brad stood by Ethan all those years despite it all just shows you what a wonderful person he really is.

Throughout the book I joined these characters on their emotional rollercoasters and laughed and cried with them. Some things that really stood on to me...
OMG when Brad broke down crying at the hospital...swoon
Let's just call her guitar girl...WTF...very nice touch Jade !!
Brad's tattoos and meanings...
Brad's interactions with Chris...so sweet and sad at the same time

I could go on and on...but trying to do this without spoilers and rambling is becoming difficult !! A total 5 star review and my only complaint is that it is over.
Thank you Jade for giving us a series straight from the heart that we can all relate to in some way.

*I was given a copy of Fully Automatic for an honest review.

FullyAutomaticcollage2

I was surprised Jade Jamison decided to write a book in Brad Payne’s POV. In Bullet, I found his character a bit aloof. But because I love the Bullet series so much and Jade’s writing, I knew I was going to read his story. I wasn’t disappointed. Fully Automatic is a wonderful chronicle of the birth of a hard rock band in all it’s dirty, gritty details.

Throughout the Bullet series, I’ve firmly been Team Ethan Richards. The struggle his character goes through in Bullet and Rock Bottom resonated with me. I rooted for Ethan to overcome his demons and win Valerie’s heart. However, perspective is a powerful thing. After finishing Fully Automatic, I saw Ethan Richards in a whole new light. Watching his actions through Brad, Nick, and Zack’s really opened my eyes. Ethan was a selfish prick! I know he had a mammoth drug problem. But the way he treated Valerie, his band-mates, and ultimately himself? Yeah, I found myself shuffling over to Brad’s side. Brad’s character is the epitome of the industrious and tenacious. His drive to make Fully Automatic a successful band is incredible. Brad’s love for Valerie and his loyalty to Ethan made me fall for him BIG TIME!

Jade’s writing lures you into Brad’s mind. From the heartbreak from his first love, the passion for his music, and his unrequited love for Valerie. You can’t help but fall for Brad. I was impressed with Jade’s ability to step out from Ethan’s story and show how his behavior really affected his band. Valerie’s character still frustrated me. Seeing things from Brad’s POV was painful. He truly loves her but steps back so many times, knowing she loves someone else. It’s endearing and frustrating at the same time.

The sex scenes in Fully Automatic are pretty hot. Brad’s experiences with his first girlfriend are a mix of steamy and sweet. Brad’s scenes with Valerie are really hot! Unfortunately, every time she holds back with Brad I think I get a case of blue balls!

Fully Automatic is another remarkable addition to the Bullet series. I’m a huge rock star romance reader and the Bullet series is in my top three favorite series. Jade’s passion for storytelling and music capture the you from the very beginning. Jade is faithful and detailed as she describes the birth of a hard rock band. I can only imagine the amount of research she did for this book. I loved Fully Automatic and I hope we get Nick and Zack’s books as well. I give Fully Automatic 5 out of 5 stars!

If you like Brad in Bullet then you will absolutely fall in love with him after reading Fully Automatic!

I’ve always heard the saying that there are three sides to every story, his side, her side, and the truth, while I’m not sure how accurate that is but, I do know that we’ve heard Val and Ethan’s side, now we get to hear things from Brads point of view, so which side is the truth? I’m not sure we’ll ever quite know the answer to that, but I’d like to believe it’s a little bit of all 3.

I knew from reading Bullet that Brad was in Love with Val but I never knew quite how much until reading Fully Automatic.

Any of the scenes that are re-told are done so because they are crucial to Brad and Val’s story. I loved reading about Brad and Val’s intimate moments from Brad’s POV! The intensity of his feelings for Val are at times so overwhelming that you can’t help but want to hug him *wink wink* and make it all better and smack Val for taking so damn long to realize exactly what was in front of her the whole time.

Even knowing what the outcome of the story would be I still found myself holding my breath at times waiting for something to be different, for Val not to run to Ethan, not to marry him, and reading the scene where Brad finds out about the engagement, it crushed me all over again!

While that scene was particularly hard to read, there were plenty of others that were steaming hot , and of course because you’re reading Brad’s POV and he’s a sweetheart, there were scenes that were positively swoon worthy, and there were even a few that made me giggle.

It was great to get a behind the scenes look into Brad’s world; you get a chance to see exactly how he operates and what he was doing all those months/years waiting for Val. An exactly where he learned how to uhh give as good as he gets an to see that ,while yes he spent years pining for Val, he was no monk while doing it, and he tried his damndest to get over her.

Fully Automatic answered a few of the questions I had after reading the other books, like who is Karen? Or who was in the room with Brad when Val came to get her things while they were on tour? What exactly happened between Brad and Ethan the night Val finally left for good? All of these questions and more are finally answered! And you even get a sneak peak at Val and her new band!!!

Of all of the Bullet books, Fully Automatic is by far the best! My only problem now is convincing Ms Jamison to give me more Brad, Val, Nick, Zane, and even Ethan, ooohhh maybe a Val-Halla spin off series!?!

Ms. Jamison has in my opinion, outdone herself again! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

Patience is a virtue and on that note, Brad is the most virtuous man I know to wait for Valerie...through Ethan and Jet and her own insecurities. I adore Brad...I was a huge supporter of his during BULLET and yet I always felt a little sympathy for Ethan especially after reading Rock Bottom. BUT Fully Automatic really gives me and the whole world a deeper insight into both Brad and Ethan's true natures and I'm left with I WANT A BRAD!!
Fully Automatic is sweet, sexy, playful and gives us a more in-depth picture of Brad as he falls in love with and eventually gets the girl of his dreams. He stands by as the supportive friend (even though he is deeply in love with her), putting his own hurt feelings aside, while she makes up her mind or actually comes to the realization thay THEY were meant to be together. He was always Val's and she was really always HIS even when they were sleeping with/loving other people.
Jade Jamison is a beautiful storyteller. She tells it like it is with a lot of heart and passion and damn if her words and scenarios don't bring me to tears one time too many! This book is NOT a re-hash or re-telling of Bullet. You can read this book all by itself and have a complete story of an up and coming rock band and the hungry for fame members...with their ups and downs and various groupies and the big difference is that this is Brad's story and what makes him tick and keeps him motivated...without every having read any of her other books in the Bullet series. But I think that they all stand up on their own merit for different reasons and they all need to be read as well!
If you loved the first 3 books you HAVE to pick up and read this one. I never felt like I was reading the same book as before...sure there are some parts that refer to incidents in Bullet (all sequels re-visit in some degree what happened in previous books) however this was so much more in depth and heartbreaking and made me love Brad's character even more than I already did!
I wanted to smack Valerie up side the head, throw Ethan in re-hab (WAY before he actually goes) and knock some sense in him and make Brad stand up for himself. But as you will find out when you read FA...he is actually the strongest and most determined person in this series with the biggest heart to stand by and watch the train wreck that is his friend and always be the one to pick up the pieces (while in love with a woman he can't yet have). Beautiful and satisfying 4th book in one of my favorite series!

I was so excited to read Brad’s story. Back in Bullet #1 I fell in love with Brad and really felt for him, caught up in Ethan and Val’s turbulent relationship. Reading this I fell even harder for him. I just wanted to give him a big bear hug, ruffle his hair and make him smile! I couldn’t think of him as a book boyfriend because I got swept away with his story and he was totally Valerie’s, that much was obvious.

Not only is Brad a sexy as hell, tattooed, long haired band leader, he has many other traits that made me weak at the knees! He is reliable, sweet, caring and the glue holding his band, Fully Automatic together. His immediate attraction to Valerie was evident and throughout this book we see him trying to deal with his feelings for Val and keep his close friendship with Ethan at the same time.

“I know you’re into Ethan, and as long as you are, nothing’s gonna happen between us. But I want you to know I’ll wait.”

It was frustrating that Val seemed to have Brad on some kind of string, reeling him in and letting him out again, giving him false hope and heartbreak along the way. I must admit, I found myself feeling very protective of Brad and I’m glad that I already knew Valerie’s reasoning behind her decisions from Bullet #1 because without that I would have disliked her a lot!

He was so proud of her and loved watching her. And the stage was where he always felt like he should be, but inside...inside his heart was breaking.

I loved that Brad still lived a full life while he was waiting on the side-lines, even if subconsciously he was pining for Val. It was also great to learn much more about the other band members too. They featured more in this book than any of the others and it really gave me a feel for the band’s dynamics.

The last few chapters of his story were perfect in my eyes. I was so happy with how things were left and I can’t wait for the next book.
To summarise, this is not a sugar coated love story. If you love hot bands, messy relationships and sizzling hot sex then you must one click this series! #TeamBrad

If you haven't read Bullet yet, you should probably do that before reading Fully Automatic, but not completely necessary,

I have seen it around traps that Fully Automatic is just Bullet from Brad's POV. And that people aren't reading it for that reason.

This couldn't be further from the truth. While the stories run parallel for a lot of the story, Fully Automatic is much much more.

Fully Automatic is the 4th book in the Bullet series. I really liked Bullet, but damn it drained me emotionally. But even then, I liked Ethan (though he was on my shit list for long time!!)

At the time, Brad, sexy and big hearted as he was, annoyed me the way he was sniffing around Val, knowing she wanted Ethan.

In Fully Automatic, we get into Brad's head, from before he and Ethan met Val, to past the point where Rock Bottom ended.

Oh how my feelings have changed towards Brad. While before his constant hanging around Val, now we get his emotions into it. Raw. Gritty, Painful. He has kept that torch for her alight for so many years. How he could do that at still be her friend, would have broken (worse than he was) a lesser man.

And reading as Ethan is going into that downward spiral, knowing there was nothing he could do - ugh, heartwrenching

Through Bullet we knew what was in Val's heart - even though 99% of the time I wanted to slap some sense into her, get her to see past Ethan's flaws and see what was right in front of her.

I became a big cheerleader for Brad while reading Fully Automatic. We see him for the big part he is in all of the band's lives. He is the motivator, pushing his band mates to be better musicians, songwriters, people. He is their fiercest defender, their harshest critic. He was like the elder statesman of FA. We see how he works his arse of for the band, who are more than friends, they are family. We see the lover hiding behind that tattooed exterior. And the broken heart he is hiding.

We see what he would do, and what he would give up for those he loves.

I love Ms Jamison's writing. She draws me right into the story, right into the lives of the characters she is giving us. There is great character development throughtout their stories, the light and the dark of their lives.

Now, all I need is Zane and Nick's stories, and I will be a happy camper.

Fully Automatic (Bullet #4)
by Jade C. Jamison
4 stars

Fully Automatic is book 4 in Ms Jamison's Bullet series now I know this sounds odd but to read this book you only need to read book 1 Bullet as books 2 and 3 take place after Fully Automatic book 4.

Bullet was a Top Read of 2013 for me and Brand Payne one of the Top Male Characters on my 2013 list so I have been anxiously awaiting his story or likely more accurately stated the journey that brought him to the amazing last words at the end of Bullet (yes lines I can still repeat almost one year later)

I wanted to pause here and say this is not Bullet from another POV; in Bullet there were many times we did not see Brad so although you do see some of the same scenes Fully Automatic is Brad's story starting before he even meets Val for the first time.

I thoroughly enjoyed truly getting to know Brad. Ms Jamison did a wonderful job at offering the reader a look into his life, his backgrounds, his passion and the love that was the underlying force in most of his adult life.

As Brad's journey evolves his passion and determination to make the band a success endeared him to me even more than before. He truly was the driving force behind Fully Automatic.

The scenes that were re-told thru Brad's eyes were pivotal to his story that grabbed ahold of me and had me loving Brad even more than I did from reading Bullet.

At 65% into this book my heart…..ughhhh That scene gutted me again I love that this book have very few re-telling scenes from Bullet. But this one was necessary, and yes painful all over again as Brad's rage is tangible!!
And just like in Bullet I get a mental picture that made me sick to my stomach.

Brad Payne's heart was captured by Valerie at an early age, but as those who read Bullet know that, Fully Automatic brings this journey full circle and I highly recommend it!

The end of this book takes you the amazing scene from Bullet I referenced I above plus a long out happy that I loved and yes yet again had me wanting more!!

I am very much looking forward to band members Nick and Zane having their stories told in upcoming books in the series!

This is a must read series for me.

I absolutely loved this story. The Bullet series is one of my all time favorites. Jade C. Jamison did an amazing writing Brad's story. I was a wreck after reading Bullet and Rock Bottom but this was the hardest one for me to read. It pulled every single emotion out of me, I laughed, I cried, and at times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room.

Fully Automatic takes us through Brad's life before he meets Valerie past the point where Rock Bottom ended. We get a look into Brad's previous relationships and get a better understanding of why he keeps fighting for Val. I have been a huge fan of Brad since reading Bullet. I always felt that Brad and Val belonged together and I felt so bad that it took her so long to realize that her true love had been by her side the entire time. It was hard to watch Brad struggle with his relationship with Val and Ethan when he knew he was who she was truly meant to be with. His pain and heartbreak was gut wrenching.

“I know you’re into Ethan, and as long as you are, nothing’s gonna happen between us. But I want you to know I’ll wait.”

“He could feel what she was feeling. It was deep and soulful, and there were no words for it. It wasn’t just love. It was more than that. It was deeper than anything he’d ever known, and he know then that it wasn’t just him. She felt it too.”

Brad is also the driving force behind his bands success and the glue that keeps them all together. He pushes them to do better for themselves and each other. Ethan is a very lucky guy to have a friend and "brother" like Brad who stuck by his side through everything. I often wondered how Brad was able to stand by and watch Ethan treat Val they way he did and keep his cool for so long. I was happy to see that everything worked out in the end and Brad and Val finally got the HEA they both deserved. He has a successful band, a beautiful wife, and two kids who love him to pieces. What more could a guy ask for. I can't wait to read Nick and Zane's stories. Keep on rocking Jade!!

I just finished Fully Automatic and I just loved it. This is Brad's point of view for what happens in Bullet and honestly it just made me love him all the more. I am definitely Team Brad! You should read Bullet to get a feel for this even though you could read this as a stand alone but why in the world would you want to do that? You would miss out on the emotions from both Val and Brad. You have to understand where they are both coming from and reading both gets you there. To say for me this was the one I was waiting for and it was knocked out of the park. I can tell that thus story would be the hardest since it basically already happened And thought Jade handled this beautifully.

As you know both Brad and Val have know on each other for a awhile but things have always gotten in the way for them. Mainly Ethan. To me Brad and Val were always meant to be together they just had to get through what they needed to get through. I'm a firm believer on things happening for a reason and if they hadn't chosen what they felt was right at the time then it wouldn't have brought them to that moment. I can tell you it made me remember how much Ethan really was a dog (even though he did redeem himself) and how Brad was the better choice for her. I loved how it finished in the ending for them. It's bitter sweet. Man when he says that he would fight for her!!! Be still my beating heart!!!

I cannot wait to see if Jade writes more. Would love to see Nick and Zane story. Man I already know that they would be good!

Honestly this is one of the best rockers series that I have read. The way Jade write the story and how she ends it is amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Story 5
Sex 5
Overall 5++++

So for anyone that has read the epic Bullet series by the awesome Jade C Jamison, this is in my boy Brad’s POV, and it’s the behind the scenes story that we didn’t get from the other books, and it left me loving Brad even more than I already did! I absolutely loved it, and did I mention I’m kind of crushing hardcore on Brad too?

Brad is the “nice guy” of the band Fully Automatic, and is sometimes outshined by Ethan and his numerous issues, that keep pulling the band apart. He’s the father figure, if you will, that keeps everyone is check as much as he possibly can, and it weighs heavy on his shoulders. Not to mention his heart breaking love for Val, who as we all know, is forever in love with Ethan at the beginning of the series.

I loved the fact we got to see the “bad boy” side of Brad when no one was around. He had his fun, but unlike Ethan and the other guys, he was a little more discreet about it. No amount of fun though, would get his mind off his true love, Val. He has it bad for this girl, and if she would only open her eyes and see that he’s so much more than her “very good friend” as she once put it, she could be so happy with him.

This is Brad and Val’s story, and how they started out as friends and became so much more, and I loved every second of it! You can feel the instant attraction and bond they had from the beginning, but fought to hide, for numerous reasons. The biggest reason being Ethan, and her strong dedication and love for the guy. Brad being the honorable one, stood in the background, and let Val decide on her own, who she really wants to be with. It’s a definite struggle of tangled emotions, courage, and standing up for what you truly want!

I give Fully Automatic 5 epic rock and roll stars!

Ahh Brad, although we knew from Bullet that he had strong feelings for Val, we never really understood how much and that included Val and Ethan.

He was always the go-to guy, the one who took charge, I liked that about him in Bullet; in Fully Automatic however we get Brads PO, we see how hard it was for him, to keep his feelings hidden, to stop feeling hurt by Vat, she never really did know what she had right in front of her with Brad.

He was Loyal, courageous, faithful, honest, sweet and kind to name a few of his attributes.

We see him battling with his feelings for Val, and how hurt he is when she chooses Ethan every time over him. I remembered the scene in the back of the bus, made me smile but also sad for him!

He was so caring, and respectful of girls, even before he met Val. His relationship with Ethan was screwed, but Ethan as we know had a bus load of issues and he needed to deal with them, Brad so wanted to be there for him, his friend but Ethan threw his friendship in his face more than once.

I loved his little trysts with Jo 'Sugar', yep even Brad had needs! even though he felt guilty I am glad he finally gave in and started to enjoy that time!

He did everything for the band, and I honestly thought that Ethan had more input than he actually did, from what I imagined he had from Bullet!

I loved all the characters, we get to delve a bit more into Zane and Nick, although we knew a little about Zane, but Nick came over as a good honest hard worker, although he like Zane loved the ladies!

I have loved this series since Bullet, and we saw Ethan redeem himself in Rock Bottom, but throughout this series the backbone, solid dependable person was Brad, I am so pleased he finally got what he wanted, and that the band's loyalty shone through!

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
Before you read this book, you need to read book one, Bullet, in order to understand the story. If you’ve read Bullet, then you’ve got Val’s side of the story. In Fully Automatic, you get Brad’s side of things. I’d also recommend reading book two Rock Bottom so that you’ll understand what Ethan goes through after Val leaves him and he goes to rehab. I loved reading Brad’s story mainly because in Bullet, I could tell he was hiding things from Val and didn’t know what those things were, but in this book it’s all laid out for me. Jade C. Jamison does a great job of showing us that Brad isn’t just a lovesick man pining after his best friend’s girl. She shows us that despite the heartache and pain that he’s capable of being everyone’s rock, even when it feels like nobody is there for him. Sometimes though I just wanted to yell at him for not standing up to Ethan about how he treats Val as well as standing up to Val and letting her know that he genuinely loves her. There were several times where my heart just hurt from all the pain he goes through, not just with Val but with Ethan and the other women he meets. Even though there are parts that are retold (mainly speaking parts from Bullet between Brad, Val and Ethan), this is not the same book as Bullet; we get all of Brad just like we got all of Val. The characters are easy to relate and the life of a struggling band on the road is believable, as is Ethan’s drug use. It feels like you’re really in the story and not just an outsider even though this book isn’t written in first person. I highly recommend you give not just this book a try, but the whole series.

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 stars.
This is book #4 in the Bullet Series.

This is Brad's story!! If you have read the Bullet series. And if you are reading number four and haven't then what the heck are you thinking?? Go back to book one and read them and then come and read this book!! Valerie ended up with Brad, but did Brad sit around and wait for her to figure out that she wanted him all along? NO he did not. This is his story. Go on his journey and see how Brad lived his life, and walk it with him. Through his struggles and his triumphs. If you loved Brad before you are going to love him more! Brad is so much more then we ever thought he could be. You will see his heart, and see why Brad is the way Brad is. He is a friend, and he is sincere and forgiving. And this is a story of how things were from his POV. It is not a repeat of Bullet but more of an in depth view of how Brad saw things. It will show you Val and Ethan's relationship for a different view also.

This is not really a love story, most of the time Brad suffers alone. But this shows you his journey and his life. And it will give you a new perspective on the Bullet Series. Jade has done it again and has drawn me in with her words and her unique way of writing. I love this series, and I love the characters they feel so real to me. Thank you Jade for your amazing series. I always look forward to reading your books!<3
They are truly spectacular!

This book is starts near the beginning of Fully Automatic and is told from Brad's point of view. If it wasn't for Brad's dedication to their success, I don't think the band would have achieved the success that they did.

I have to admit to not being a huge Brad fan when I read Bullet. I kept hoping that Ethan would overcome all his issues and they would have their HEA. I was actually ticked that Val ran to Brad after Ethan assulted her in his drug induced/drunken rage. And then Brad gave up his relationship to be there for her. GRRR!

I think Ethan and Val not getting their HEA bothered me. It was one of the few books I have read where the main characters didn't end up with their HEA. Bullet is one of those books I kept thinking about many days (even weeks) after reading it.

After reading this one though, I'm glad Ethan and Val didn't get their HEA. Brad deserves her and so much more. He sat back and waited patiently for Val to come to him. He told her how he felt and that he was willing to wait for her. I felt the heartache right along with him throughout the book. It took a lot of strength and character to be the better person and just be patient.

The only thing I wanted to do was smack Val. Knowing where Ethan was headed, I couldn't understand why she put up with him for so long. He did nothing but hurt her. Why would you do that when you knew there was someone else out there for you? I just don't get it. Reminds me of "Say Something" by A Great Big World and Christine Aguilera.

I was provided and ARC as part of a blog tour in exchange for an honest review.

<3<3<3 If you don’t know this, I am completely Team Brad! I have been since reading Bullet. I love him, here is this tough, kick ass rockstar who is the sweetest to the girl he loves EVER….I love how he waited for Val (all why his heart was being crushed), I love how he cares for Val and takes care of her, I just have a major crush on Brad…he makes this series for me! 4.5 stars!

“If you love him, I’ll support your decision, and I’ll never say anything about that night again. Ever....
But if you tell me you don’t, I’ll fight for you.”

I really recommend that you read Bullet before you read Fully Automatic. Fully Automatic is basically Bullet from Brad’s POV. You get to see exactly what Brad was thinking as Val and Ethan’s toxic relationship was developing and then unraveling…..oh and poor Brad, when he hurt, I hurt….my heart just ached for him! Then you get to see exactly what Brad was up to in his free time, he didn’t always sit and pine for Val, which was nice to know. You also get to see a glimpse into the lives of all the characters after Rock Bottom, which I really enjoyed and didn’t expect.

“He could feel what she was feeling. It was deep and soulful, and there were no words for it. It wasn’t just love. It was more than that. It was deeper than anything he’d ever known, and he know then that it wasn’t just him. She felt it too.”

Jade did an awesome job writing the male POV……I laughed, I ached for Brad, and I fell even more in love with him! I can’t wait to see more of these characters.

Thank goodness we already knew how their lives turned out because there were times I wanted to SCREAM. You’ll go through many emotions reading this book. You may think you know Brad and what he was thinking, while he was yearning for Val, but his book will surprise you……and you will not be disappointed!!

I loved that his story started with him in high school. Even back then he was the most patient man you will ever read about, putting others wants and needs before his own; not always a good thing. His entire life was made up of sacrifices he made for other people. He wanted Fully Automatic to make it big and that was the one thing he would not give up on or compromise. He would do anything to make sure that happened.

He was the responsible, dependable, reliable one with the determination to make his band a success. But he couldn’t do the one thing that would make his heart complete --- communicate his feelings. You will get angry (for him) because you will wish he had some common sense when it came to Val. You wonder how differently all of their lives would have turned out if he had fought for Val, right from the beginning. I almost hated her for what she put him through by always running back to Ethan, but I was surprised at how little Val knew of what was happening around her. She really was naïve! There were surprises that floored me but made me smile. You loved Brad from the beginning, but you will admire and worship him after reading his story.

Wow!! Jade did an awesome job with Brad's story. I loved him in Bullet and was so glad he got his happy ending. But being allowed to read his POV and see things through his eyes was completely different from Bullet. This was such an emotional read, because my heart broke for Brad in how much he truly loved Valerie. Feeling it and living it through him shows us just how much Valerie broke and twisted his heart. In all honesty, Val doesn't deserve Brad, but because she makes him so utterly happy, then I'm glad they got their happy ending. From that first smile during band practice in Brad's garage all those years ago, theirs was a instant love. What they had was more than a strong friendship. It just took a lot of heartache and ups/downs to get there. Brad pushed his band and they were successful. He pushed himself and now has his girl and a loving family with the music career he dreamed of.

I've read this whole series and have loved every single book. I was so glad to read about Ethan finally finding his soul mate and getting his happy ending in Rock Bottom. He was so tortured and he hurt not only himself but his friends too. But he owned up and ended up with his own happy ending. Same thing goes for Jet in Feverish. I loved Jet's character as well and was glad we got a book on him too. This has been a wonderful series and I recommend you read all four of these books. You'll love them.

Wow, just Wow! I had read all the books in this series leading to this one, but I was in no way prepared for the heartache I was going to feel for Brad. I will admit, that Ethan had my heart from Bullet on, and I at times hated Valerie. This book though changed that for me. It put it all into perspective. We all knew that Ethan and Val were toxic. I get that and I did when reading Bullet and Rock Bottom. I just wasn’t prepared to be taken on the journey again and feel like I did for them.

It was amazing how I knew what the outcome was, but I felt the tension, the pain and suffering of all of them. Seeing the story play out from Brad’s eyes was eye opening, and I think a little sadder. To see how strong his love for Val was, and to be repeatedly stomped on, well it broke my freaking heart. It was also painful to see how Ethan’s behavior really affected Brad. God I wanted to reach into my Kindle and hug the ever loving crap out of Brad.

Jade has a way to her story telling that just sucks you in. I love her style of writing, and I find myself unwilling to put her books down. Fully Automatic is a long book, and I would read into the late hours. My eyes burning and becoming blurry. I’m sad to see the end of these characters. This is a series that I recommend to everyone and Fully Automatic is one I will take about for a long time. It truly touched me and I loved every word of it.

I give this book 5 Rock Stars! ~Jen
