Another great addition to this series!

Micah is battling the demons of his past as best he can, but it isn't always helping. Dealing with memories and physical reminders of the torture he went through he starts to rely on pills to get him through. Then Jacee comes into his life, his mate, his savior. She has her own horrible past that she has dealt with and she helps Micah take control of his demons. But when an enemy from Micah's past starts making threats, Jacee and Micah have a whole different

Ahhh so many mixed feelings on this one. I love the characters. I love the set up. I even love the fated mates and how heavily that's relied on for the romance side of things. I have issues with some of the little things though. Lack of condoms (or mention that shifters don't need them), a secondary storyline with a straight male who's been given a male mate--not loving that at all, a very cliche run in with the 'bad guy'. While it didn't all ruin the book it definitely makes it more...average. ...more

Another great addition to this series. Micah and Jacee feel into their mating very easily, but other things caused the drama in their relationship. Seeing all of the Alpha Pack makes me want to go back and re-read all their HEAs again, especially snarky Aric. Great hints given for at least the next three books. Can't wait!

Micah Chase was taken, tortured and held against his will for months, which left him with haunting memories and being horribly scarred. As he slowly recovers, he is prescribed a certain drug that is to help with the healing of his body. But soon his body becomes dependent on it, even when it doesn't help that much lately. But when he starts acting out in anger and frustration, his team is determined to help him. But Micah needs

This is the third book I've read in this series and this is book seven. That means they can be read out of order.

I'm a big paranormal shifter reader. It's always been a favorite of mine. So when I saw this one come up, I jumped on it. As a matter of fact, I read it between books I had on my schedule the day it arrived!

I really enjoyed this world in Cole's Redemption (book 5) and Wolf's Fall (book 6). I would love to find the time to go back and read the first four books. It's a great world. This

Another great Alpha Pack novel! Micah is one of those wounded warriors battling the scars both within and without. I like that he was a little different and because of the past torture, he was a little humanized while still being strong. I think Jacee was the perfect choice for him since she’s

I always eagerly anticipate each new installment of this series. It doesn't matter who gets his story next though I confess that I did anticipate Nick's story the most. That being said, I love the band of brothers that make up the Alpha Pack and I love how the stories may focus on one of them, but they are all there fighting together in the background.

In this book, we get Micah's story. Micah endured brutal torture from his captors before he was rescued by his pack brothers. He is nearly

I’ve been eagerly awaiting Micah’s book ever since he was rescued from the enemy a few books back (I can’t remember which one). I love a story of a character who has had an extremely hard life and learns to overcome it to have a happy-ever-after. I do want that happy ending to come from only from the significant other. I want to see the character find something else to see that life is worth living.

Jacee is a

For the most part this was a good story and a good narration by Margurite Gavin. (audible review)

I liked most of this story. I liked Michah for the most part, but sometimes he just didn't seem like an ALPHA type. And he was sick way too much for my taste. I like my hero's be be strong, a bit arrogant and a little cocky, not too much just enough that they seem to be a true alpha or hero type character. This guy had a LOT of issues.

Jacee the heroine was okay. Not much depth or character

We are back in the Alpha Pack world and this is now Micah's turn. Micah was captured and tortured. Since he came back to the pack, he's been struggling. Even sometimes wanting to end it all. He's become addicted to pills to numb the memories of what he was forced to do, and what was done to him. And in the midst of all that, he finds his mate.

Jacee is a coyote shifter and she's also a bartender at the local pub, who once had a fling with Jax. The connection between Jacee and Micah is instant

When I realized that this book was centered around Micah I found myself intrigued. Micah is the member of the group that missing and found so damage. I wanted him to get his HEA.

I was a bit surprised that JC ended up his mate, not because I didn't like her, but due to her previous involvement with a different member of the group. It definitely caused some friction, but I was glad that they were all able to get past it. JC was great for Micah as she gave him the support that he needed and he gave

Chase the Darkness (Alpha Pack #7) by J.D. Tyler

Believed dead by his Pack mates, Micah Chase, a wolf shifter and Dreamwalker, was held captive for months, subject to tortures that left him physically scarred and emotionally unsettled.
Now under the care of the Alpha Pack’s doctors, he’s been prescribed an experimental healing drug, but he still can’t shake the nightmares. Even more damning is that Micah’s problems pose a danger to his team, and if he doesn’t get himself under control, they’ll all

This is one book beside ravens that I've been looking forward to from the start of the series and finding Micha. His struggle to overcome everything was amazing and I was so glad that he finally got the love he deserved. This book will make you feel a range of emotions and take you for a wild ride.

Oh Micha, it wasn't enough that he had to go through everything that he went through when he was held captive (yes I'm being vague) but then to continue having to fight and struggle afterwords was

Chase the Darkness is Micah’s story. We had learned of Micah at the beginning of the series. But he was captured and the Alpha Pack had thought he was dead. But after being rescued Micah could not remember the depth of the pain and horrors he went throught. But as time went by more and more memories came out. Micah has so many demons in this book. But it was good to see him work through them. Thankfully Micah has found his

Chase the Darkness, the latest installment in JD Tyler’s Alpha Pack Series features wolf shifter Micah and coyote shifter Jacee. Micah was introduced in a previous book in the series, and he has always been a sympathetic hero, having been held captive and tortured for several months. Although some of the information about Micah is in the previous books you should be able to read this book without having read the rest of the series with no

I totally loved this book! My heart went out to Micah and all his struggles. I could completely relate to him. I thought Jacee was brilliant and was perfect match for Micah.

I love how much the dynamics of the series have changed and evolved into this vibrant and dangerously exciting world of otherworldly creatures. It’s amazing and always a joy to read the books!

Ah Alpha Pack how I must say you are my guilty pleasure. I read this book in 1 days because I left my Kindle at work (I almost cried when I found that out) so I picked this book up because I finished book 6. This was an okay book but I finished it in 1 day (24 hours) and it was enjoyable. The only part I had a problem with was the ending. Whenever he faced the bad guy they fought and (view spoiler) in one page and then the ending happened and they were all okay. ...more

I don't really know if this book deserves the full five starts, as on page two I was screaming about a very obvious mistake, but I read it in one sitting and was left feeling happy and smiling, so it did the job for me. This is a series that I will be with until the end.

At 28% I wasn’t crazy about this book. I mean, I was already tired of Micah popping pills every time he turned around. So far I’ve loved the other 6 books but I thought this was going to be a bummer. I could see that bondmate thing wasn’t between Micah and Jaycee wasn’t going to be easy. OK, I was wrong. It turned out to be a pretty good read. Loved Micah and Jacee, and it’s been a while since I’d read the last book that I thought I’d forgotten all the players. I was wrong about that too. I ...more

The broken solider Micah will have more tough times ahead before he can have his Happyness with his new mate Jaycee. She is a tough cookie in her own right, orphan at 13 believing that all her family was dead so she survived after high school. People saw her differently as her ex 'sut, a fellow pack brother, but she won't let that define her. She have felt connection to Micah since she started working in the Grizzly bear when she first saw him. He so broken with scars inside and out and thinking ...more

Too many things happened in this book. Micha has been through so much it felt like the author was just crapping on him. He couldn't catch a break. In the end it was just ok for me. Should have been called chasing the light.
