A more detailed review can be found on my blog.

Nemrah Ahmad is immensely popular Pakistani author, with more than ten books to her credit.

She is like a magician, who can change people’s lives through her creative work. My life has significantly changed after reading her book. She has the ability to weave in mystery and suspense in a social, cultural, and romantic setting.

This story is about dreams, struggles, relentless pursuit of success. It is also about a passionate love story. It is also about those grey characters around us

There are a few problems that I noticed as a reader.True to her element, there were twists and suspense. I felt that the twists were far too many, to the point that it got confusing. And the plot was too good to be true. Khurram got all the success he wanted, and everything literally fell in place just like that, and that too in a very short span of time. But the narration is good. And Khurram is perfect and loving; like all male protagonists of Nemrah, if you are a girl; you would want / dream / pray for a life partner like Khurram.

This was more like a 3 stars for me. But I would give one more star, for the impact it had on me.

Books affect you in the strangest ways imaginable. I am a self-diagnosed insomniac. After reading this, I have stopped worrying about my sleep, or the lack of it. I stopped making a fuss about my inability to fall asleep. Like Khurram, I try to utilize all that time into creative and productive stuff, instead of sulking. That in turn has made me more positive, and more thankful to Allah for everything that he has blessed me with.

Go for it.

Happy Reading!

Lost my interest mid way... The story was exciting uptill then... After that it just lost its direction... The end of any character wasn't justified. Disappointed. :-(

I think I found the worst fiction ever, even for a story published in a local women's digest. Why did she even think of publishing it as a book?
The story is a sequence of embarrassingly misplaced, impetuous events, some of which were tacky imitations of Eve and Alexandra from Sidney Sheldon's Master of the Game. The characters were all plain stupid who acted with neither sense nor motivation but on whims that came out of nowhere.
The writer's first venture was a total disaster. seriously. Though I must say that Nimra Ahmed improved a great deal in her later novels.

This story captivates me every time I read it. So beautifully written as always by Nemrah. I loved how happy the story ended. Nemrah is one of my favourite writers and I guess I've already read all her published novels except Haalim / حالم which I really wanna read but then it makes me feel bad realising that after reading Haalim, no more books by Nemrah would be in my TBR 😪

Okay let's be honest with this review this book is extremely lame and unrealistic. That said, I enjoyed the hell out of it while reading it. Surely go ahead and read it if you're tired and want to read something in which you don't have to use your brain.

Considering her age, this is a master piece. A naive writer with such maturity and grip, I'm awed.

1. Personal Response
Reading *Mery Khwab Mery Jugnoo* left me with mixed emotions. On one hand, the story was quite captivating and kept me hooked with its anticipation and emotional depth. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the writer seemed eager to wrap up the book quickly. The transitions between scenes were abrupt, and the timeline often skipped years at a time, making it challenging for the reader to keep up with the flow of events. It felt like the writer prioritized keeping the book concise rather than giving the narrative the depth and length it deserved.

Another aspect I couldn’t overlook was the similarity between this book and Nimra Ahmed’s very famous novel, *Jannat Kay Pattay*. Both novels follow the pattern of telling two parallel stories—one focusing on an individual in the first part and then shifting to another character in the second part. While this parallel storytelling style can be engaging, it did feel repetitive for someone who has read *Jannat Kay Pattay* before.

Lastly, while the story of the book is undoubtedly amazing and quite interesting, I believe the ending did not do justice to the whole narrative. The climax, in particular, felt rushed and went against Islamic principles, leaving me disappointed. I strongly feel that the ending could have been much better, and the book could have been longer to allow for a more satisfying conclusion. Despite these shortcomings, I still found the story engaging and worthy of a read, even if it didn’t fully meet my expectations.

2. Summary
*Mery Khwab Mery Jugnoo* by Nimra Ahmed tells the story of two individuals whose paths cross under unusual circumstances. The narrative follows their emotional journeys, exploring themes of love, dreams, and resilience. The story delves into the struggles faced by the characters, the sacrifices they make, and the dreams they hold on to amidst the challenges of life. With elements of romance, heartbreak, and inspiration, the novel reflects on how dreams and determination can light up even the darkest of times.

3. Recommendation
*Mery Khwab Mery Jugnoo* is a good read for those who enjoy romantic fiction with a touch of inspiration and emotional drama. If you’re a fan of Nimra Ahmed’s writing style and love stories that explore the themes of dreams and faith, this book will not disappoint. However, if you prefer realistic and subtle narratives, you might find it a bit too dramatic and idealized. Overall, the book is a heartfelt tale of love and hope that will appeal to readers who enjoy emotional storytelling. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars for its engaging storyline and emotional depth but deduct points for its reliance on coincidences and idealized characters.

The author is a magician of words, catching the reader's nerves. Every book has a long lasting impact on its readers it's the power of its words. If I talk about that short story "merey khwab mery jugnu" the title itself describes the story of dreams, struggle, consistency, positivity, reserverenc, setting and achieving Goals. The book has beautifully depicted the main idea of Chasing Dreams, highlighting life is nothing without Dreams. I'm just wondering why the majority of this book didn't enjoy it and reach out the faults and draw backs, although it has but why are you guys unable to pick up the main idea and purpose of the story.🙃
Obviously, Nimra Ahmad is a magician Urdu writer of Pakistan that is why, perhaps readers were expecting more and acccptional throughout that book, but she has already mentioned at the bottom of that book; " "you might find errors in this story but it' was one of my early works". But to be honest. Still it seems adorable and affectionate, I really fell in love with the story, it's setting and Major theme. Every dreamer must be crazy regarding his/her dreams just like KHURAM ZAID ✨every disable person must fight against his/her disability and must shape an outstanding identity just like SIMAL. I truly enjoyed that one sitting book and I'm sure readers who have intention on the purpose of the story would also enjoy this one. ✨✨✨

This was the first piece of literature by Nemrah Ahmed. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline although it was purely fictional. I don't think it can ever occur in real life. But yeah, sometimes you just want to read which makes you forget the real worries.

Full Of Love...
Simal character inspires me a lot...
But at the same time Maah-Noor character disappointed me, her character is full of negativity, a sister could never be like this..
The way Khuram stays in Love with simal and didn't think about any other girl for 9 years, without any contact with simal, even when he gotta know that simal is dead, he still continued to work on simal's dreams... I really believe in love but there is something unbelievable in the story.
In short, this story will make you believe in love and dreams also...
Khuram and Simal both have dreams and Love each other, they worked on their dreams for years, at the end, love is still there. So they both live together happily.

Nemrah Ahmad's debut work impressed me! The simplicity and engaging style made it a compelling read. While the story had a touch of the unrealistic, it echoed the sentiment that life itself can be the most unpredictable tale.
