⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Always (stand-alone). Epic m/m life & love saga that tackles issues & makes history!

"I love you, always."

Always (stand-alone) is a beautiful, spell-binding and sexy love story of epic proportions.

From the moment attorney and aspiring politician Avery Adams, the grandson of a US President, met restaurateur Kane Dalton he knew the direction of his life had been altered. A plan set in motion years ago took the back seat so that he could pursue his soul mate.

Always is book one in the Always & Forever duet by Kindle Alexander. This is my very first book by this writing duo. I just did finish the last words of this book and my emotions are on overload right now. This book may be the most epic of love stories I have ever read. The love between these two characters is the deepest, most true of any love I have ever read about. Was their way easy? No. But the love they shared was so strong, they could weather any storm, as long as they did it together.

5 heartfelt stars!

When kindred souls meet, they are destined to be together, always.

This is one of the most beautiful romances I have read in a long time. Avery and Kane have a forever kind of love. Always starts dramatically in present day, then takes us on a whirlwind journey of 40 years of love and romance. We go back to the very beginning. Where it first began in Minnesota.

Avery Adams is on track to be the next senator of Minnesota. His family has a strong political history and

Kindle Alexander is a frickin' genius.

As I write this, she is #31 on Amazon in Genre Fiction.

Genre Fiction. Not romance.

George R.R. Martin is 2 spots away at #29!

You know who rates LOWER in Genre Fiction than Kindle Alexander?

Ken Follet #36
Isabel Allende #38
Jodi Picault #50
Agatha Freaking Christie!! #53
Kurt Vonnegut #57
Dean Koontz #58

Kindle Alexander outsells Kurt Vonnegut. Just let that sink in for a minute.

Whatever she's doing, clearly it works.

Well, after just finishing Always by Kindle Alexander… I am totally drained, a little shell shocked, with the whole red, puffy eye look going on, because I cried buckets!!! OMG! Kindle Alexander ripped the heart from my chest before lovingly putting me back together. That ending!!! …and I will say nothing further on the conclusion of this book because it’s perfect and needs to be experienced first hand… just know that you need tissues… lots of them!

Oh boy.

Okay, this book didn't work for me on almost every level.

1) I've read these characters before in every Kindle Alexander book. The exact same things that annoyed me in Up In Arms and The Current Between Us (and in Double Full) annoyed me here. Every single Kindle Alexander book starts with a supposed alpha male type character who doesn't need anyone and by the 20% mark of the book he's turned into a whiny, needy thirteen year old girl. Every. Single. One. In this book Avery goes from a p

I didn’t know. I really didn’t know.
If I had known I would have NEVER picked up this book.

Elsbeth let slip something about this book last night and I harassed her til she told me how this book would end. And I’m so glad I did. Not that it helped, I was already too invested in the characters to not care if I read it myself or simply heard about it.

There are some things I don’t like to read about.

This book was really an amazing read. The journey I got to experience was so beautiful, but also caused me great pain. This book follows the lives of two men. Two men who fall in love and end up sharing their lives together. We get to see their highs and lows and even their middles. We see them fall in lust and love, experience loss and blessings. It was just truly a beautiful story.

The book starts off in the present, where we meet Avery and Kane for the fi

The relationship between these two spans almost 40 years. Their story begins in 1975, when Avery goes to eat at Kane's restaurant, La Bella Luna. Avery is an up and coming politician in the area and comes from a long line of politicians. Kane feels he has done something wrong and looks to set it right by sending him flowers. I started this book crying and I ended the exactly same way! This is the story of two men, two soul mates, and one is the half of the other! They know this as soon as they meet... This was one serious emotional roller coaster of a book I'm not one to cry whenever I read one but good lord I cried and not your run of the mill kind either but that big fat crocodile tears version. It took a while to really get into the story as Kane and Avery's life unfolded but once you got past that little hill it was a brilliant read all the way through.

Terribly written.

Shitty researched, with a complete ignorance of its time period.

Authors, who’ve never ever heard of character or relationship building.

Over-cheesy, over-sugary, over-mushy, over-saccharine, over-sappy, over-weird, over-creepy.

I gave up when "the worldly grandson of the President of the United States" (!) proposed to his same-sex lover after just one week. In 1975!!!

It was just mind-boggling awful.

Im still a little torn with how I wanted to rate this. The last 10% broke me. I was not execting nor prepared for it. What a beautiful journey.
When I read a book and rate it, my rating is based on how I feel as I read the book and the feelings that are elicited as the story reaches it's conclusion. I don't perform any sort of complex literary critique, I can cope with grammatical and spelling mistakes to a degree, I can relate to stories that are outside the norm - it is all about how the story makes me feel.

With this one, I was somewhat prepared for the emotions. The social media hype - Goodreads, Facebook - let me know that I could e
I read the first chapter and I'm sorry to say this is not the book for me. I don't like reading sad stories. Neither do I like meeting characters at the end of their life and then flashing back to their youth. It makes me sad that the good times are only memories that we are reading now. So, as much as I love Kindle Alexander's books, this one is not for me.

No rating, obviously, since I can't read it.

If you have even a hint of romance in your soul, you will cry like a little bitch toward the end. Guaranteed. : )

My favorite parts were toward the beginning, where they meet and fall in love, then again during the really emotional parts as their story comes to a close.

The middle part about the kids was fine, but did about as much for me as the whole political aspects of the book. Yawn, next.

I would have enjoyed the middle better if the story had maybe shown Kane's siblings coming around being f

I'm a sucker for stories involved established, long-term couples so obviously this book sucked the hell out of me. It was romantic, feel good, and quite thought provoking. This story is like a gay fairy tale and they live happily ever after kind of story. The first chapter crushed me and I was taken until the end of the book.

If there's one nitpick I can tell, is that Avery and Kane had it quite easier than some of the other couples I've read. But it doesn't mak

OMG!!!!!! This book is truly an AMAZING Love Story. I LAUGHED and CRIED and hated that it had to end. Right now I'm somewhat emotional - this book really touched me!!!!!

SIDE NOTE: as most people can see, I don't write much about a books "plot" when writing a review. I think of this more like giving my opinion on how I enjoyed a book or not. When I went to buy this book, a asshat gave this book a one star rating and gave away the entire ending and it was hard to miss!!!! It really ticked me OFF!!

This book was incredibly sweet. A couple that were definitely soulmates. It was a good testament to love and a healthy relationship. I loved Kane and Avery, how they complimented each other and added value to the other’s journey. I hope Society is here and couples like Kane and Avery can live in love and happiness.

I just could have done with less sex scenes. I would have also liked more shading to the family situation with Kane. Still, this book was a gem and was just what I needed to keep smili

Avery Adams came from a very famous political family. He is the beautiful attorney who always gets what he wants and that includes some hot one night stands as he is the hot Playboy after all. At the urging of some of the powerful politicians, he has decided to follow in his grandfathers foot steps. Avery now has his goals in line and a very detailed road to his political goals, that is until he meets Kane Dalton.

4 Emotional Stars!!

I don’t know how to begin my review without spoiling anything. Trust me, it’s hard. But I’ll do my best.

It was a good read for me with so much emotion. Coming from the blurb, I wouldn’t have guessed how the book will start and how the story will unfold. It was far from what I’d imagined. It was a rollercoaster ride especially at the end. And this book kind of reminded me of “The Notebook.” It’s not the whole forgetting thing. It’s the love that is so raw and intense.

First let me tell you how crushed I was my fellow BR's hated one of my favorite books...
I felt devastated. Am I being dramatic? Probably.... But don't we all want to share what we thoroughly enjoy with our friends??

But it's just a damn book and so with pain in my heart I began reading this story again. Kane and Avery's story.

Yes, it was cheesy as hell and facts may well or not have accured at that time. But I don't care....

Kane and Avery's lovestory was heartbreaking
1.5 Stars

This one was a disappointment. I love Kindle Alexander and I continue to be a fan of her work but this book was a bust for me. First off, we start 40 years into Avery and Kane's relationship and - it's fairly obvious - that we're being set up for an emotional roller coaster type of ending. But be that as it may, I rolled with it.

Unfortunately, the middle just didn't do it for me. There was insta-love and more love. It was love, love, love, love, crazy love. It was butterflies and roses
