The Three Bears and Blondie come together; mistakes are made, lessons are learned, friendships are built, and a neighborhood is brought together.A modern twist on a timeless fairytale, recreated to include an iconic childhood meal. It's the perfect bedtime story to get out a few last giggles before falling into dreamland! This story came to be one night as I was putting my own daughter down for bed. The room was dark, and I told her the story as it was being created in my mind. She enjoyed it, so I hope your children do as well.
Where to start? First, I love the retelling of the classic story. Even more so is that it answers questions I didn't realize I had. Like how the bears knew that someone had eaten their food, sat in their chairs, etc. Well, Blondie leaving a trail through the house certainly explained it. My favorite part is actually the end. The author (Melissa M. Burch) leaves a note on how to use the book as a learning experience or rather a family experience. Taking the story and expanding on it is a fabulous idea.
My daughters (4 and 5 years old) love this book! They pick this often in the evening as a book of their choice for me to read with them. It is a cute plot twist from the traditional story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I most enjoyed the ending, where Goldilocks (Blondie) apologizes and helps make the situation right again, which even then involves their community. The author also includes a page at the back which highlights some suggestions for grown-ups to help make the read-aloud more engaging. Thank you! :)
The Three Bears, Blondie, and their Spaghetti is a fun twist on a classic by an amazing author, Melissa M. Burch with adorable child friendly illustrations by Tina Heenop-Rheeder. I enjoyed the up to date fun loving characters and the fun loving character of Blondie. She just wants to be an amazing salesperson. What will happen when she eats their spaghetti that is just right, breaks their chair, and falls asleep? No spoilers here. Such a fun picture book. I highly recommend this adorable picture book.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The three bears have softened over the years and invite forgiveness and innovation after blondie eats their homemade spaghetti and takes a nap in their house while they are out waiting for dinner to cool off. Whimsical illustration, perfect for imagination and silly play. I liked the ending where the homemade spaghetti sauce is sold to the neighborhood, inviting everyone to enjoy the delicious dinner. Great first book by a new author!
When Blondie crosses paths with the Three Bears, a few funny mishaps unfold, but so do important lessons about honesty, kindness, and community. This playful story adds a modern touch (and a beloved childhood meal!) to a classic fairytale, creating a warm, giggle-filled bedtime read. This sweet story is crafted to spark laughter, build connection, and send little readers off to sleep with happy hearts.
This book is a fun twist on a classic story! Beyond just the story, though, is the chance to create an entire learning experience from the book. The author provides a QR code in the back of the book to access additional freebies, like a recipe to create your own spaghetti sauce and related coloring pages.
A neat twist on an old classic, this book will be fun read on Spaghetti night! I love that all at once this book encourages creativity, entrepreneurship, problem solving, accountability and kindness in a way the classic never did.
The story took a turn after the bear family returned home to their empty plates, big mess, and broken chairs. You thought they were going to be mad but wait for it—hear the kidpreneur’s idea out! The illustrations are really beautiful!
Anew twist on an old bedtime story. Wonderful illustrations throughout. A dinner of spaghetti replaces the fairytale breakfast of hot cereal. Too bad they didn't include their favorite spaghetti recipe.
