The title of this book is perfect! The reader is mini-parachuted into moments of intimate conversation between two people in public that are so atmospheric and ever-so-slightly mysterious that the experience is as delightfully satisfying as eating a box of chocolates without any calories. Original and captivating. The novella at the end is funny and endearing.

Delightfully written! I truly felt like I was eavesdropping on real people, not fictional characters. Juliana is a masterful writer of dialogue. If you enjoy good conversation and people-watching from your corner of the coffee house, you’ll love this collection of short stories.

I actually really enjoyed this book!

I saw another review that said “it really does feel like you’ve eavesdropped on a conversation” and are feeling with the characters along the way.

Thank you so much for allowing me to read the ARC 🩷

This was a delight to read. I felt transported in space and time and loved peeking in on others lives. The author has a gift for placing you right there with not only the physical descriptions but the feelings of the people. The novella at the end brought a smile.
