This was a great book to read, and the best endorsement is from my son: he loved it. The whimsical and colorful pictures from Jess Smart Smiley combine with the witty story from Rick Walton to make something fun for all ages.

“4 Little Monsters sing in the sea,
‘Come, little sea lions! Play with me!’
The monsters have no fun at all.
The sea lions, though, they have a ball!”
Rick Walton rhymes in his children's book, 10 Little Monsters Visit Oregon.

~ What ~
Part of a series, this over-sized thirty-two-page hardbound targets three- to eight-year-old children and readers who like learning about American states while counting. With no scary scenes, it would be best read to beginner readers based on some complicated words. Exp

I have to say that I really liked this book. Enough to go higher than 4 it mentions Peneleton Oregon which is VERY close to the armpit of Oregon which I like to forget exists!
The good news, Oregon is a lot more than armpit with lots of cool other places.
I like the humor as well as the facts . (I am glad to know Tillamook Ice cream is quality controlled to insure no monsters are in it!)
I like the pictures and to learn more about the good things Oregon!
10 little monsters explore several of Oregon's iconic locations. Unfortunately, they aren't the luckiest of monsters and their numbers dwindle as the cross the state. This conceptual counting book is fun to read especially if you have visited any of the mentioned places. (I have!!!) The pictures aren't my favorite but their quirkiness is okay in this format. And don't forget to read the small print, that is where the humor is.

Such a fun little book! Something happens to each monster as they cross the state. Our favorite was the one who fell into the ice cream at the Tillamook factory (after getting free cheese samples, of course) and became the new Monster Crunch flavor. In addition to each rhyme on the page, there is also a sentence or two about the landmark or area featured. Many are funny like the one about Powell's Books.
