Arrabella thought she was done with dreams, done with curses and the threat of death.

After surviving the ancient Aztec curse that had plagued her family for centuries, Arra was more than ready for her new life in the boring little town of Grainer, Maine. Boring and small sounded perfect...but she should have known better than to think it would last.

The dream was odd, but Arra passed it off as nerves about starting school in Grainer. Her boyfriend, Tanner, was there to distract her…and get her into a little trouble as well. He pushes the dream out of her mind until they walk onto the school campus and see her. The lonely girl from Arra’s dream.
Tanner’s reaction is fierce. He won’t risk losing Arra again and demands she stay away from Sibeal, but Arra can’t stop thinking about her haunted expression. What if she can help her? Arra can’t just walk away and let whatever curse has a hold of Sibeal claim her without trying to stop it. But what if Sibeal deserves the punishment?

Arra’s battle to make the right choice about Sibeal only gets harder when she is forced to turn to the person in town she likes least for help. Sebastian Wallace is arrogant and irritating, but he’s seems to be the only one who can help her. As Arra tries to determine what the right choice is, she finds out saving Sibeal may be the least of her problems.

DelSheree Gladden was one of those shy, quiet kids who spent more time reading than talking. Literally. She didn't speak a single word for the first three months of preschool. Her fascination with reading led to many hours spent in the library and bookstores, and eventually to writing. She wrote her first novel when she was sixteen years old, but spent ten years rewriting it before having it published.

Native to New Mexico, DelSheree and her family spent several years in Colorado for college and work before moving back home to be near family. When not writing novels, you can find DelSheree reading, painting, sewing, and working with other authors.

DelSheree has several bestselling young adult series and has hit the USA Today Bestseller list twice as part of box sets. DelSheree also has contemporary romance, cozy mystery, and paranormal new adult series. Her writing is as varied as her reading interests.

Soul Stone is a stunning and fascinating sequel to the Escaping Fate series. This story takes you an amazing journey of an unexpected gift that leads to the most unusual of circumstances. Throughout it all, friendships are deepened, feelings are challenged, and fears are battled. This is not a tale for the faint of heart. It is one that will lead to unexpected revelations and surprising transformations. Open your heart to the promise of change and let go of the fear that lays hidden deep inside and in return you will be gifted a treasure that is absolutely priceless and beyond measure.

Arrabella would be your normal sixteen year old girl if she never knew of the curse that plagued her family. If her life had never been at risk of being snuffed out like a candle in a rainstorm, she would have been completely ecstatic. However, the carefree existence that she craves was not meant for her. She is destined for something much more than she could ever have imagined. To ask her, she would say that she is still cursed except now she is able to find some comfort in her new boyfriend Tanner. If you were to think that her life is starting to settle down, you would be gravely mistaken. New dreams begin to haunt Arrabella along with a sense of urgency to save the girl that the dreams reveal. Will Arrabella choose to follow the clues given by the dreams in order to possibly save a life, or will she turn away in favor of building a new and normal life for herself with Tanner by her side? Is her fear of the unknown enough to hold her back from something even better then what she has right now?

I loved watching Arrabella reluctantly spread her wings and transform into the beautiful person that we see by the end of this story. She slowly drags herself out of her self-induced isolation and forces her heart to open up to those around her. Realization of her potential begins to sink in as she discovers that she is the only one who is able to stop a terrible tragedy from happening. Her heart refuses to allow her to keep out people who care deeply for her. She must face what she fears, and she has quite a few fears to conquer along the way.

Characters like her friend Bas help to open her eyes to the good things around her. He proves that some of her fears are unfounded while others can be won with help from another. While Tanner is content to build a net of safety around Arrabella, Bas is more interested in allowing her to break free from the cocoon of fear that is holding her back. He shows her that life is easier to live and enjoy then she thinks. It only takes one step into the light to feel the warmth and love that they rays of the sun can offer.

DelSheree Gladden has touched my heart yet again through her amazingly heartfelt characters and her captivatingly soul searing story of discovering strength in the midst of your weaknesses. My heart is still so full from the beautiful emotions and the enthralling journey that she took me on. I can’t wait to see where she takes this story next!

This is the second instalment in this series after Escaping Fate and the story of Arra's life gets bigger, better and a whole lot scarier from here!
Like Escaping Fate, this book begins instantly with a supernatural intrigue with central character Arra being plagued by horrific and fascinating dreams. In this tale Arra is pulled into danger once more by the problems of new student Sibeal, a mysterious shy girl newly arrived to the small town of Grainer.
I enjoyed the further development of Arra and Tanner in this book and it was really interesting to see a teen relationship realistically portrayed with all the ups and downs that you would expect a pair of 16 year olds to go through. My favourite character in this tale, however, was Bas: the local hero with surprising hidden depths. He really made the story for me as he brought a new conflict into the action and helped Arra's character develop a lot more than she did in the first novel.
Overall if you enjoyed Escaping Fate, you will definitely enjoy Soul Stone because it mixes the familiar elements from book one with a larger, more exciting plot with a lot of physical action as well as emotional trials.

Gladden has done it again. Every single one of her books is so pleasing to my brain. I am such a huge fan!

This is book 2 in the Escaping Fate series; however, it works well as a standalone, too. I read this book first before Escaping Fate (#1) and fell in love within the first few chapters. And after I finished reading this book I immediately started reading the first one. That’s what Gladden does to me – she makes me want to read more of her work - even when I read them out of order.

This was such a compelling story. The characters were well developed. The plot was very imaginative and full of twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I never knew what to expect and I absolutely loved that! Fantastic story!! Another favorite to add to my list. =)

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I loooooved it!!!! I'm in love with this series even more after reading Twin Souls.
The thrill, suspense and anticipation got doubled in this book. I had goosebumps after the scene when Arra wss spying on Sibel from stall at her reflection and it stays there even after Sibel moves and her reflection glances at Arra. That gave me chills.
I was connected to all the characters in the story and could feel their emotions.
In this part Arra's dad is shown the worry wort when in Escaping Fate her mother was always worrying after her.
Then I was torn for her deciding between Bas and Tanner, darn that is hard. So, going to look forward to know who she will choose.
The last battle and defeating Etain, the scene was awesome and was totally praying for Etain's defeat and the last twist; I didn't saw that coming.
This definitely is a must read!
