I forgot about those requests, but oh well. I think the library could feel a collective desire for more Haikyuu, so they're starting to catch up with the series. This is awesome, because I get to revisit all of the moments that made me smile in this series' original format.

God, I love Koushi Sugawara. I also love this current game against Aoba Josai. Everything's tense and everyone's on high alert, and that's great, but I still want to appreciate just how much Koushi Sugawara is a babe. He's

The battle between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai continues! And it may shock you, but it doesn’t end in Volume 7, either! I love the never-ending battles in shounen manga, be it cooking battles, board game battles, battles to the death, or my new favorite – VOLLEYBALL battles! I still don’t understand the rules of the game, but the tension is ratcheted up so high that all I needed to know was that Karasuno has their work cut out for them if they want to progress in the Inter-High

I felt so much calmer after Suga got on the court, I thought it was really lovely how we got to see our two setters learn from each other. Bring the team slower together and thus change the entire pace of the match!
Suga gets on the court while Kageyama cools down wooo! SENPAI! How he use hits everyone with smiles ah it really changes the motion of the game. Suga knew the plan, he traded spots with Tsuki and prepared to block, it worked. Suga is calculating like Kageyama but is calmer, more

Haikyu!!, Vol. 7 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (54–62) of the on-going manga series.

This tankōbon continues with the Interhigh Tournament – in particular with the match of Karasuno High School vs. Aobajohsai High School. We left Karasuno High having a significant deficit, which they could not make up having Aobajohsai High School winning the first set with a score of 15|1|25. However, Karasuno High came back to win a very hard-fought second

The intense match with Aoba Johsai continues, but Karasuno is on the ropes when Kageyama is pulled from the game and subbed with Sugawara. This volume follows them as they try to turn things around.

This volume let’s Sugawara shine and it’s lovely. This is one of my favourite ensemble casts that I’ve ever read in a manga and I love how Furudate gives (almost) every character a chance to take the spotlight. Furudate takes these opportunities to develop the characters both in the spotlight and out

I read the first three volumes in one go and was quite won over by this sports manga and its focus on teamwork. I've just read volumes 4 through 7 back to back, and while some of the shine has worn off as the series simply segues from one game to the next and the next and the next, I still find it quite enjoyable and engaging. The members of the starring team continue to develop and evolve as athletes and people as they interact with each other and their opponents.

I generally dislike sports,

V7 served as opportunity to give Sugawara some much needed screen time and development. Though he is a senior team member, his lack of ability as compared to the first year volleyball prodigy, Kageyama, and his lack of actual playtime, makes itself apparent fast. However, what he lacks in ability is quickly made up in his refreshing outlook brought to the team and his ability to handle the players emotionally. I also like his reliable by the books playstyle that helped carry us through the 2nd ...more

So far, this has been a standout volume. Obviously, I've been loving each volume of Haikyu!! (and giving every one of them five stars) but this one really stands out.

The game is really exciting, of course, but more than that I loved seeing Sugawara's dynamic with the team as opposed to Kageyama, and then how Kageyama adapts to being a more conscientious setter, following Suga's example. The backstory of Oikawa and Kageyama - in fact, I may like reading their backstory in manga format more than

Why must you end on a cliffhanger when I can’t read you!

Like always this volume was brilliant.

I loved the team spirit and how the coach let Suga play this time. He really needed it and he brought the team back from their brink, especially Kageyama who I was shocked to see lose his cool in the last volume! In my opinion - Suga is the heart of the team and I can’t wait to see him play some more!!

We also got some really interesting background on blue castle and the story behind Kageyama &

It seems that I forgot to put it in my read books so I will go with my memories. It's clear that it was good, because I have never been disappointed until now. Volleyball is my passion, so reading books of this kind delights me to the highest point.

I really want to give Volume 7 5-stars, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself. This is a excellent volume. Readers get a lot of information on the rules and technical information of the game, but it continues to be as informative as it is interesting. Furudate's timing and the way he gives the information is exceptionally well done in this factor. It adds to the story instead of taking away from the main action and characters.

I'm bowled over that even the minor characters (the minor
