Grace is losing the fight against her greatest foe. Her tumor is consuming her brain, her body and all she has left is her soul and the trips she makes through time to Roman. With Roman, she is healthy, alive and both her needs to feel like and woman and love like a woman are met. Each morning after her visit, she endures the pain of earth shattering headaches, but at least they mean she is still alive, still breathing and still able to make at least one more trip into his arms. As she becomes more deeply involved in the vampire world and their cold ways, she realizes just how different Roman is from those around him. Grace helps Roman remember his humanity and together they are a couple truly standing against the world in every aspect.

So we ask, why doesn’t Roman resurrect her as a vampire? Is there something wrong with Grace that prohibits this? Her life in her world is forfeit already, but perhaps she is meant for other things

Once again, Elizabeth Davies is just as amazing as her tale, Amazing Grace as one woman fights to live each day and give her family the peace they will need when she is gone. For me, Roman is her reward for her struggles, her little piece of respite from the pain and suffering. Grace is brave, feisty and living life to the fullest, as best she can.

Ms. Davies has fleshed out her characters and added new questions and twists to this often sad, yet heartwarming tale. More than just a paranormal romance, this is truly a romance with a heroine who has so much to give and little time to do it in.

I received this copy from Elizabeth Davies in exchange for my honest review.

Superb! My, oh, my, things are getting very interesting for Grace, in both time eras. Ms Davies, you owe me half my nights sleep as I couldn't stop reading until I had finished the book. I love the juxtapositions between the present and the past, Roman's solitary life to Grace's close family life, Grace's pain and fear from her terminal illness to her moments of happiness. My emotions were all over the place! I hate comparing books to others, but it reminds me of a cross between Highlander and The Time Travellers Wife. I am so intrigued by the premise and what the future holds for Grace that I'm diving straight into the next book.

Warning...!!!!Go back and read State of Grace, the first book in this series!!!! This is Book #2 in the Resurrection trilogy.

This book picks up where you wish State of Grace ended. It starts with Grace sitting at the table for Christmas lunch. Grace has had to leave her occupation as a pilot, as she has fallen terminally ill with a brain tumour. One of her ever-present ailments is her headaches. During these headaches is when Grace is suddenly transported back in the past.

Uh-OH! One of the first rules of time travel is that you cannot discuss the future in the past! Will what Grace has told Roman change the past? What about the Butterfly Effect? This is an unconventional love story across different eras. This give an entirely new definition to LOVE HURTS and what happens in the past, stays in the past! Grace's brother, Ianto plays a huge part in this book, he is let in on some secrets and is a co-conspirator. This book illustrates incredible family values! It is also a great trip through history. There are plenty of references of how things were done in the past and how it pays to know how they cooked, cleaned, etc in the past, just in case you get to take a trip through time.
I look forward to reading Sanctifying Grace.

The author gave me a pdf version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my heck, shut the back door! Book 2 was AMAZING! In my opinion, it's rare for a sequel to surpass its beginning. In this case, my normal opinion was wrong.

Book 1 got 4 stars, but this book blew me away. I couldn't wait to turn each page. Grace was again thrust into the past with Roman. We are introduced to more characters...namely Lettuce (funny, right?) and Jeremiah (eck!). Grace's tumor is becoming debilitating, and her short time is swiftly coming to an end.

Book 2 was filled with lots of adventure. I . Love. Roman. He just keeps getting better and better. I'm ready to dive right into book 3. I can't wait to see what happens with Roman and Grace. The ending of book 2 was muy bien. ***insert sigh***

In this second novel of what is a creative combination of genres, Grace and Roman, the two lovers, continue to deal with their unusual relationship. It's unusual not only because Roman is a vampire, and Grace, a human, but also because she flashes in and out of his life, which spans centuries, through an uncontrollable, mysterious process that takes her from the 21st century to his time period, whatever it might happen to be when she returns to him.

The narrative focuses closely on their relationship, although, when Grace flashes back to her own time, it then shows the reader the interactions of Grace and her family -- her parents and beloved brother Ianto. Speaking of him, I really enjoyed the way he acted toward Grace. It was very touching to see his concern for her, as well as her realization that he was no longer the little brother she had known in the past, but an adult in his own right.

Interesting characters are introduced in this second book. One of them is a female vampire, whom Roman calls "Lettuce". This turned out to be a humorous nickname for her; she was really named "Leticia". She and Grace immediately disliked each other, as Grace suspected that Roman had been having a fling with this woman. He had already told her that he couldn't be expected to remain alone during the years that Grace was lost to him. Whatever Roman says, I agree with Grace's dislike of Leticia; she's not a nice person at all.

Another interesting new character is Jeremiah, who is also a vampire; it later becomes apparent that he's Roman's nemesis. I took an instant dislike to him, too, especially when he showed no interest in saving Grace's life, at one point in the novel.

This book is as fascinating as the first, and Davies again creates suspense with her unique take on time travel. The contrasts between the various time periods in the past, and the present, 21st-century reality, are amazing and shocking, too, as the reader is confronted with the fact that aspects of the modern world we take for granted simply did not exist in centuries past.

As in the first book, the relationship between Grace and Roman is fiercely romantic and passionate, although the sex scenes are a bit less graphic in this installment. I love the way Roman increasingly comes to accept this woman who is such an enigma to him. He cares deeply for her, in his own rough way, finally confessing his love for her toward the end of the novel. She, meanwhile, had already fallen head over heels in love with him, having long ago accepted him just as he is.

Roman's character is very realistically drawn; he is not quite a tortured hero, nor is he a monster. He seems to straddle the two types of vampire characterizations, and I liked that. This certainly keeps the novel from becoming maudlin or melodramatic.

As in the first book, Grace is a very courageous young woman, as she deals with her impending demise, and then with this strange time traveling she can't even control. She, too, is depicted in a very realistic manner. She finds Roman very attractive, not only sexually, but as a personality, too; yet, her feelings for him are never described in such a way that would make the reader engage in eye-rolling.

With all the shifting back and forth in time, there is never a dull moment; Davies keeps the reader turning pages. As the narrative moves along, the author also manages to include some world-building, without inserting huge information dumps in the process.

Interestingly, Grace doesn't time-travel when she's away from her family's farm, which is located near the Welsh town of Brecon. Also, Roman is unable to connect with her at any other location, so, no matter where he travels, he keeps returning to Brecon, in hopes that Grace will appear.

Speaking of Brecon, it's wonderfully obvious, in this book as much as in the first, that the author loves the Welsh countryside, which is another aspect of these books that I find enchanting. The descriptions of the woods, the mountains, the various points of interest, are all lovely and vivid, thus making me yearn to visit this beautiful land!

In short, this novel is not only as entertaining as the first, but also just as fascinating! It is a beautiful paranormal love story that will draw readers in, keeping them enthralled throughout. Davies writes in a simple, direct style that is also quite descriptive, and takes it for granted that her readers are sophisticated lovers of paranormal romance. Her characters, plot, setting and style, all make me so glad to own this very special vampire romance trilogy!

Needless to say, I am anxious to move on to the third and last book! I heartily recommend this series to any paranormal romance lover; you will definitely not be disappointed!

Wooohoooo!!! I cannot even put this book into words! I just loved it so much!

description

It was one of those books where you cannot stop reading though you desperately need to because you have other things going on in your life and you choose to ignore your life and continue reading anyway, meanwhile you're totally biting your nails and worried about what it going to happen next.

description

Oh, and did I mention the heart ache? I think my heart literally stopped a couple times. Either because of things that were happening, or Roman just being so sweet/caring/concerned/AMAZING that my heart seriously was exploding with feelings!

description

Sometimes I just was so sad and overwhelmed. You know that "oh" face you get when you start slipping into despondency because of all the overwhelming emotions you're dealing with?

description

Yeah, I had that.

And between Grace's deteriorating body that she refused to let anyone acknowledge and I was breaking down. And...maybe freaking out a little bit.

description

Alright. Maybe more than a little bit.

But honestly, the havoc on my emotions was well worth it. This book totally exceeded my high expectations. Consider my mind blown.

description

And I really did enjoy the first book a lot, but MAN! I LOVED this book!!!!!! Sooo sooo good!!!

Amazing Book! I think I loved this one even more than the last...lol...this one had even more suspense and romance. You never knew what was going to happen to poor Grace next and I so can't wait to read the next book.

Grace can't believe that less then a year ago she was diagnosed with a brain tumour for since then her life has been turned into a roller coaster ride. She has been sent into the past spanning thousands of years and she has fallen in love with the most unlikely of men. Roman is fierce loyal and handsome not to mention deadly, and grace's love for him span's the time, but does Roman's? Can the fact that Roman isn't exactly human stop him from loving her like she needs him too? and in the end will he fail her?

As Grace's body gets sicker and sicker in the present from the tumour it is a race against time itself to see if the past can catch up with the future.

absolutely stunning book! Elizabeth Davies is such a awesome author! the introduction of Jeremiah and lettuce in to this book was brilliant their characters were amazing! The ridiculous name of lettuce gave some comic relief while at the same time creating tension and strife among the characters. While Jeremiah was like a snake in the grass you never see coming it was brilliant!

this series is a definite TBR make sure to get your copies today!

Amazing Grace was everything I was hoping for, and then some!

Grace in thrust back into her "visions", and is immediately swept up in more action, and romance! I absolutely love this series! Again Elizabeth Davies gives such a descriptive time line of events, and I was glued to this book even more than the first one! Grace has some wild and terrifying things happen to her, and with every new chapter you are pulled deeper and deeper into the story!
I don't want to give to much away, but Grace and Roman reached a whole different level of feelings for each other in this book, and I loved it! Grace carried her self, and didn't need a man to take care of her this time, and that made the book very much enjoyable.
I think my favorite part of this book was when Grace and Roman were talking of future events for Roman. (Things that hadn't happened for him yet, but was history for Grace.) The fact that is was all new, and so interesting to him was so refreshing, and very humorous.

I can't wait to find out what happens to Grace next, in the last book in the Resurrection Series.

I would still highly recommend this series!
(I'm actually shocked it's not more popular!)

This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for a review.

As Grace's tumor progresses, there were a lot of touching moments between Grace and her brother Ianto that really touched me and brought tears to my eyes as they struggle to come to terms with her dying. There are a few more vampires that are introduced in this segment that make things more interesting as Grace continues to time-travel back to whenever Roman is located in time. Their pull is growing stronger and her love for him is deepening, even though each travel is making Grace die faster in her time period. Roman is still frustrated as to why he can't enthrall her. Even when Grace's memories of Roman are erased, she still feels a pull towards him when she time travels. She just feels like she is having one good hallucination until Viktor is able to help. Even though Grace is whole when she time travels, in her reality, her life is rapidly depleting. More stories about the vampire legends come out and I just love the twist to them.

This book starts exactly where the previous one ended.

It continues the story of Grace and her time-travels.

We find out how every trip in the past makes Grace's health worsen.

We also get to enjoy Roman's transformation from a medieval vampire to a contemporary one. I liked his fascination with science, but we already got that from the previous book. Still here it was much more pronounced.

Together Roman and Grace find out that there's more to their connection and Grace's time travel than they first tought. And Roman is compelled to found out why and how.

We are introduced to more vampires: Lettuce and Jezz. Both come out as villains, but I also have the feeling that not all is at it seems... I guess I'll found out in the next book!

This book is one in-between, I think. A really good in-between book! :D

This book was perfectly put together! It started right up were the first book State of Grace left off. There was nothing left out from start to finish. Grace and Roman capture you with their love, passion and adventure. Personally, I couldn't find nothing wrong with this second book Amazing Grace. It had me pushing dents in my kindle trying to turn page for page, I couldn't read it fast enough. Grace an her cancer left me heart broken in the first and now this one but she is such a strong woman and her determination have me fixed! Elizabeth Davies you have done it again, I can't wait to start the third and final ): book.

Aaaahhhh the cliff hangers woman! I would ask if you were trying to kill me but I got all the books at once.... otherwise I might have to swim to Wales and "demand satisfaction" lol...
There was one passage that had me very confused, but if you hang in there for a few more pages it all gets sorted out... (of course I was reading that bit at 4am so I was probably not my sharpest...)
I give this book an unequivocal 5 stars! I got so angry at some of the characters my husband asked me to stop muttering about "stupid, blind, selfish people" lest he think it was his turn to clean the kitchen again. (It was but that was not the point... Lol)

In the second book of this trilogy, Ms Davies picks up the story of Grace and Roman where State of Grace leaves off. As the two lovers, one human and one vampire, travel back and forth through time, she manages to weave the real world and the paranormal world seamlessly throughout the story. As Grace’s health declines, her feelings for Roman grow and keep her going, yet it becomes more difficult to hide these changes from her family. The story is beautifully written and artfully told. I can’t wait for the third installment.

Amazing Grace, the second book of the Resurrection Trilogy.
As the adventure of Grace continues, the story gets more interesting.
As Grace’s condition escalates, the events keeps getting better and better.
Roman and Grace were tested.
But will the feelings for each other be enough on what will happen next?
Gah!!! I loved it!!
The way thing ended, it’s good and man I can’t wait on what will happen to these characters (Roman and Grace). If things will work out to what is really meant to be..

Time travel and vampires - It doesn’t get much better than this

This made for a wonderful addition to the series. I have never read anything quite like this, and for me, that was like a breath of fresh air. It really hit the spot. I was in a book funk and this series was my cure. I was so tired of reading books that felt like I had read something just like it before. I wanted something new, and fresh, and this did the trick. I will defiantly add this writer to my list so I can watch for her future work. Well worth the current $2.99 price tag.

Awesome! I loved this book! Grace is still dying and going back in time to see Roman, her lover from the past. She gets into all kinds of trouble, but mostly because of her appearance and way of dress. People were very ignorant in the past and if you didn't conform to their ways, it sometimes meant certain death. As usual, Roman comes to rescue her, most of the time. This was a real page turner and I can't wait to finish book three.

First Things, First: I received this book/series for free in exchange for an honest review at the author's request.

OMG! Usually book series, especially trilogies have a great, climatic, story building beginning (Book 1), an amazing, finishing, action packed ending (Book 3), and a lack luster, plot developing, blah blah middle (Book 2). Not this series! Book 2, Amazing Grace, was just that; AMAZING! I am usually yawning and wishing the book was over when it comes to the middle of trilogies, but this had me addicted from book 1 and just kept going. This book surpassed book 2, and had me speed reading, ignoring my husband, blowing off back to school paperwork (Junior High aged child), and ignoring college testing (Bachelor's degree)!

Roman is a dream boat! Jeremiah I cannot figure out. Lettuce, bad name, bad attitude. The development, or lack of development, but addition of these characters makes me want more, and I want more NOW! Reading this book, you want to know more, you want to know what will happen, and you want to know if Grace and Roman will be together in the present, or will she die before seeing him. What will happen? I don't know! I have to read book 3 and doing this review to tell you how AMAZING this book is is delaying that.

Here is is simply put, people: READ THIS SERIES! If Book 1 was great, Book 2 is AMAZING, then Book 3 will have me slapping veins, wanting more! I almost don't want to read book 3 because it will be over and I have a feeling I will want to cry and feel empty. This series is so good, I can tell I will have a plot hangover and be sad for days that there is no more.

Family is everything.

Grace had always loved her family, but her life as a busy pilot kept her away from them more often than not. Until she is diagnosed with a brain tumor and everything changes. Resigned to her fate, she tries to spare her parents and brother from the burden of caring for her, while helping them accept that she’s dying.

Her body is failing, but she’s accepted her headaches are a blessing. They transport her to another time and place, one where she’s not sick and is drawn to a man named Roman. He’s exciting, dangerous and means something to her. Searching for answers draws her deeper into the paranormal world of vampires and her place among them.

I LOVED Amazing Grace. So many layers of depth and character were woven through the plotline. Roman became more dimensional. Grace found her stride and inner strength. Delicious twists and unexpected turns made this story well-rounded and absolutely captivating.

The Resurrection series is enthralling, and I cannot wait to start Sanctifying Grace (Resurrection Book 3). Again, paranormal fans that love time travel and historical elements won’t be disappointed with Ms. Davies’ world. I love it so much, I’m starting the last story in three…two…one…now!

Time-Travel present and past England

Grace’s health continues to deteriorate in her own world and as she gets closer to her death she continues to return to the past and to Roman. Each time she goes back she finds Roman waiting for her and she falls deeper in love with a man whose sole purpose in life is for blood.

This book picks up very nicely where the first one left off. With every detail that is revealed it makes for a wonderful time travel book that comes to life for the reader. It will also have readers hoping for a happy ending for Grace. Seeing how Roman and Grace get through each obstacle that is placed in their path makes for a great story. This one will also have readers reaching for the third and last book in the trilogy so they can find out the outcome to this trilogy. While it has some elements of other stories with vampires and time travel the way it is put together and told makes it unique and engrossing to read. With emotional highs and low and many twists and turns readers are never exactly sure what will happen next or where. This one keeps readers turning the pages just to see what will happen next. This is proving to be an interesting trilogy that is worth reading.

This book picks up right where book 1 leaves off. You are plunged right back into Grace's life and dealing with her cancer and how she is facing her death. Grace is getting sicker, the cancer is killing her slowly, but only in her world. In Roman's world she is healthy and vibrant. She falls more in love with Roman. More of her time is spent with Roman, learning more about him and telling him of the future. He is very interested in the future and science and what it holds.

As she spends more time with Roman it is harder for her to hide what is happening to her - the bites, the bruises, from her family. After a brutal beating she takes refuse in her flat in London, with the help of her ever loyal brother, Ianto.

Ms. Davies weaves this tale so beautifully. It's like I'm with them, living this life with Grace and Roman. I'm anxious to read book #3 in this series and see what happens.

Will Roman be able to help Grace?

This is the second book in the Resurrection Trilogy and after reading the first I'm so glad to have read the second one and looking forward to reading the third. For some reason lately I've been in a book depression I guess and books just haven't held my interest lately but this one? I was surprised I put this down to even sleep.

I loved book one and I think book 2 was even better and it continued where the first book had stopped. Grace's health is getting worse and Miss Davies really knows how to suck you into the story. When Grace once again goes back in time to where Roman is waiting for her. But because of some circumstances (I don't want to say because of spoilers) and she doesn't remember Roman. You really feel the pull between the two and I really felt like I had gone back in time.

Roman I swear that vampire just gets better and better and I just loved Lettuce (don't laugh that was the charries name). I'm so looking forward to reading the third book.

This is the second book in the Resurrection trilogy and again I have to state please don't be put off by the cover. This is NOT your typical romance style novel. It is a wonderful vampire tale that blends time travel, drama, and of course some paranormal twists.

Part 2 continues with the tale that quite frankly I have yet to work out how it will be resolved without a great shedding of tears. Well written and entrancing all I can say is I can't wait to finish book 3.

My heart breaks for these characters and I LOVE it!

As Grace continues dealing with her tumor and time traveling adventures, I just want Roman and her to finally catch up with her current time period, but alas, as with any love story, there is one little setback that truly made me want to scream. I will have to admit, until the end, I was beginning to get a little frustrated because these two really need to get together....forever. So with that being said, I will begin the final book in this amazing trilogy and hope that true love will indeed last forever.

wow! this book jumped right in and kept right on going. You don't have to worry about any slow points in the storyline. I became more intrigued as each page went by. I'm still trying to figure out if there will be a happily ever after or if its going to be sad. I love how Grace and Roman have developed. Their relationship is unique to say the least. I will be reading boom #3 as soon as I can!

Well, it didn't disappoint......

You can tell that this is the middle of the trilogy, it moves the story along, and delivers you to the last book - which I have started immediately by the way.

It's weaker than the first one, but I still couldn't put it down, and I still had an urgency to move on to the next book to see where it goes.

Which ever way the story plays out, I hope I'm in tears by the end.

OMG so many strong emotions in this book! I highly recommend you read this series because it will you make you fall in love with Roman (you will wish he is real) and the passion, love that he and Grace have, but also the struggles and obstacles that they face will pull at your heartstring and make you cry. Grace is an amazing woman the way she is facing her demise with, yes grace, and still grabbing onto life and being shown what life really is about, being loved through time by someone who will always be there for you. Started reading book 3 in the series and you will NEED A BOX OF TISSUES!

I PLAN on re-reading the whole series right after I finish it. I am completely enthralled by the series (yes I now love that word) and find I can't wait to find what happens next by re-reading it. I want to revisit these two people and savour the moments they share slowly as the scenes play out in my mind. It makes you wish that Roman was real and what they experienced was possible.

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review. And boy, oh, boy, Miss Elizabeth will not be sorry. Let me start by saying I absolutely devoured this book. As in, I gobbled it up so quickly I'm not sure that I actually absorbed anything substantial at all. Just kidding, of course I absorbed it. This story is getting better and better as it goes along, and I for one have been loving every single page-turn.

It starts with Grace eating Turkey with her family, and then being time-warped and back and forth it goes until she finally sets sail back in the olden days with her crazy, but also nice to look at, vampire semi-boyfriend. I say semi there because he is definitely not transparent in her own time, at least not as of now, and so I think he can't really be called her all out boyfriend.

Roman is as charming as ever, and then some. I picked up very quickly, even in the first book really, how he treated Grace so much better than anyone else around him. He obviously has very strong feelings for her, almost instantly. And how could he not. Grace is charming and cute and all around likeable, and very, very different. She is also beautiful. It makes me terrible sad throughout the story when she returns to her own time and is so sick with her tumor. I feel like she shouldn't be faced with that obstacle, but so often in real life those kinds of sicknesses have no prejudices and often attack good people swiftly and irrevocably. Even though I hate the fact that she is ultimately dying, I also think that it makes this story even more believable to me. Being able to put myself in the shoes of those characters created within this story makes it so much sweeter.

I liked the interaction between Roman and Grace. Grace is Grace, and she is stubborn to a fault, but when she is with Roman she is something more, I think. Together they are just...awesome, for lack of a better word. She handles everything so well, the time travel and her sickness, juggling the past with the present and keeping her head about her. She really is quite remarkable.

Now, let's skip halfway through and talk about the mean vampire who finds her and the present. I hate him. HATE! HATE! HATE! Sebastian is evil, and I'm not sure what his goal is, but he needs to chill out! Big time. I won't ruin the story, but what he does ruins everything, or so I thought. I was really upset when afterward she returns to Roman and goes through quite an ordeal. But I loved reading about the past, and the way of the world back then. That has always been something I loved. I swear in a past life I was a total 19th century something or another. Anyway, I digress.

It was great seeing Viktor again, and I think he saves the day in the end of this brilliantly written book. I am about to start the third and final book of the series, and even though I am exhausted I will probably stay up way too late reading to find out what happens. I have to tip my hat to Elizabeth Davies. So far I am just in love with the story of Roman and Grace and can't wait to find out what will happen to them, although I am a bit sad that this will be the end. I give this book 4.5 stars!
