This was the conclusion to Jackson's story up until present day and I LOVED it! This showed me the darker side of everything that happened to Jackson all of the sacrifices he made for his brother. It was such a nice treat to jump back into the lives of my two favorite characters from Peachville. The love that Harper and Jackson share is unbreakable in the 200 years of his existence he never once thought he could share a love so pure with anyone. His brother is free and everything is as it should be for now there is peace but soon they will all have to fight again. Harper will not stand idly by while there are portals still open. It has become their mission to destroy the remaining four leading witches. I cannot WAIT for Emerald Darkness! I will be sitting patiently awaiting its release. Bravo Ms Cannon! Novella is a must read for fans of the series.

This is a continuation of the backstory of Jackson's past with his brother and with his former fiancé Lea. It's fantastic to learn the relationship between Jackson and Lea more in depth because it's very apparent there was a story. There are so many layers to this whole series. It's so great to have books 7 and 8 to explain the Jackson/Lea dynamic. Thanks Sarra!

I almost never write a review, but in this instance I felt that I had to. Firstly this is a really great author and I have enjoyed everything I have read of hers to date. However, this last episode of the Peachville Demons cycle set my teeth on edge!

It's a very short book – nothing wrong with that, but it is part two of a two novella pair. Which from the start begs the question why not just release it as a book? Bit of a strange call in my opinion.

In part one, there were typos. Not too much just a couple - nothing to bother me but I haven't really noticed any in the previous six full length books. However, part 2 - this book - was riddled with them.

WHY DIDNT THE AUTHOR PROOFREAD?After 6 books and a novella we know they can! The errors here were huge. H instead if He to start a sentence. Sentences with a word missing. POURING instead of PORING. But best of all, at the big crescendo moment at the end - the big reveal - we had characters trying to FLEA a room rather than FLEE. It would have been funny if it weren't so sloppy. It was such a short read it would have taken little effort.

A last point was that the whole pair of novellas was about unending angst, pain and emotional suffering. Again and again. Without end. I felt like screaming "enough! We know already! He's hurting - got it. Now move on!" Just saying. It was a very depressing read.

Dear author. Come off it. We KNOW you can do better.

I really liked hearing Jackson's perspective! I can only hope I can find a guy like him:)

I liked that it went back in the past before Harper was around, but I wish it had more about the present! It went back and forth but mostly concentrated on Jackson's past leading up to his entering the human world. I wanted to hear more about how they were doing now.

It ended on a very good, romantic, oh so sweet note though. They got engaged! Eek!! :D

What a beautiful addition! I loved the first part, but this one might even be better.
After speed-reading through the first one, i could barly wait to read the second one.
During the Novella, we get more information about Jackson, him and Leas relationship through the years, as well as insight on the resitance and how they build themselves up. At times, i almost felt like i was reading a history book, because i am so emerged in the story, and it felt like a telling of the past.
Again, i didn't need the few chapter of the present in between, except for the end! The end was wonderful and emotional, and everything i could have hoped for.
Would i read it again? In a heartbeat. While it was an easy and fast read, it was also emotional and beautiful.

I finally finished the whole book which is in one book not in two parts. It was hard for me as I had stopped reading Peachville series for over a year. It took a while to situate the characters but very interesting to read from a different point of view.

Sarra Cannon books are mind candy. You know they are ridiculous and are not good for you, but for some reason, you can’t stop shoving them into your gluttonous mouth. While I genuinely like Jackson, minus his annoying mysteriousness during Demons Forever, I couldn’t help but get a little annoyed with Part II of his story. Half of the time while ready the book, all I could do was just mentally yell, “Oh for the love of God, GET ON WITH IT!!” And really, grow a pair and tell Lea the truth. Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see how Cannon unveils the next segment of the Peachville High Demons series. I’m a little curious to see if each portal color will get its own “series.” I just hope the story doesn’t get too dragged out.

There should be a warning with these! I read these fist three, about halfway through the first one I had become rabidly obsessed and was COMPLETELY addicted; worked completely into a fervor by this intense writing and depth of character development, I spent the rest of the weekend finishing the trilogy and immediately ordered the rest of the Peachville set.

Once my voracious reading appetite devoured the last of them I grabbed the first of the Emerald series and am not frothing at the mouth, panting, gasping and wailing like the banshee waiting for the next installment.

Sarra? Ma'am? DAMN, you can write!

THANK YOU for this trip you are taking me on!!!!!!!!!

I love getting to see into Jackson's past. The way that Sarra told the story, building on the little clues given to us in the Peachville series, never felt redundant, always like a new twist was coming. And trust me when I say, I pretty much know the Peachville series inside and out. I wasn't expecting to get too many surprises, but I am so glad I was wrong! I will be not so patiently awaiting Emerald Darkness, the next spin off series, to finish the (bigger)story.

3.5 stars. Good story. Sometimes the dialogue seemed a bit stilted and overly expository, which I have noticed in the previous books. The action and twists usually distract me from that though. I really felt for Lea in this one. She was wronged big time. I'm looking forward to Emerald Darkness by Sarra Cannon (the beginning of a spinoff series).

Jackson finished the memory stone reliving all the horrible moments that lead up to him jumping through the portal to Peachville. He also uses the heart stone for the first time. It wasn't as long as peachville demons, but it explains Jackson's life in better detail. Great follow up to a great series. Very sad to see them go. :-(

I wish this would have been a single book instead of two. Other than that, I love it and I could feel the pain not only for Jackson but Lea and how much Love can move us to do the "impossible" including Forgiveness and a journey to the unknown.

I so look forward to the next Peachville book. Great Series!

This book did just what it was supposed to do. It gave all the information that had been hinted at but never really explained. It also got me interested in the continuation of the story in the new series. I'm just disappointed that the new series doesn't seem to have more than one book so far. I liked reading this entire series without having to wait for the next book.

As hoped, Part 2 filled in more blanks from Jackson's past. His memories and experiences seem to be great lead-ins to "Emerald Darkness." The explanation of his motives for the attempt to rescue his brother - even at the potential loss of friends & family - made perfect sense. I'm ready to continue with the main parts of the saga. Almost can't wait!

I love this series so much. I'm going to have withdrawals until the spinoff series comes out. I enjoyed this, but jot as much as I did part 1. I hope Sarra Cannon writes more books from Jackson's pov in the future.

I was almost tempted to comment about how Lea was such a crybaby in this story, but she toughened up by the end, so I went with five stars as usual. Love this unique perspective on demons. Hope to read more.

A great bridge from one fun series to the next. Jackson's journey has been sad and long, but his happiness is evident in this conclusion to the Peachville Demons series.

It was a great conclusion to the series but the abundance of editing (or lack thereof) errors were annoying.
