My thoughts:

About ten percent in i was mad at Zahir, sad for Mari and I was crying with happiness for an engaged couple. If that doesn’t get you into a book I don’t know what does!
This is the second book in the Dual Mage series. I loved them both!

4.5 This one hurt but the story is going in such a cool direction!

This book brought higher stakes than the first, but the thing I loved most was watching Zahir grow as a person. His character development in this one was absolutely magical to watch, and it felt so realistic. The second half of the book was nail-biting-- each plot twist was scary (in the best way) and made for a thrilling read. I am so excited to see where this series is going! I would recommend this book to fans of fantasy series.

I am spent!! S.C. Muir out did herself!! This trilogy is going to be something wonderful. This story can be enjoyed by all ages.

The first thing I want to say is how refreshing this book is. Anyone can enjoy this. It's tastefully written. The way she writes and her message of inclusion is awe worthy. They touch on subjects with open mind and heart. Topics like sexual fluidity and invisible disabilities bring light to and normalize them!

Will Zarih and Mari get their HEA in book three? Will they stop the threat in time? Who will be left at the end? So, many cliffhangers!!

Choosen one, one bed, magic, strong FMC and MMC, arrange marriage, LGBTQA,

Spice: .5🌶 I only recall one scene, and once again, the door is ajar. No worse than what you see on analog TV.

Accessibility: easy to read with text to speech flows nicely.

This author went above and beyond writing this series and I know she put her heart and soul into these books as a fantasy romance reader I was chosen to read this before it was released and I’m glad I had the opportunity to do so! She writes with flow and makes you wanting more! Zahir and Mari are night and day but opposites attract I had a very fun and enjoyable read with both books definitely would recommend this 1,000 times to everyone and anyone who would want to start reading fantasy! Magic system was great and the plot just hit the spot for me! If you loved any of the fantasy romance novels I’d highly recommend giving this a try this author talks from her own life experiences in this book as well! I couldn’t put this down and loved every second of it!

This is the second book in the series, and it's out today!!
After loving the first book, I was very excited to read what would happen next. In this book, we get to know the characters even better, and we even see the female MC struggle with something that the author herself struggles with as well. She wanted to include it in the book and make people more aware of it, and I think that's amazing.
The plot in the book is also really good, filled with surprises and twists you don't see coming.
I also love the queer representation in this series!
The book is really another amazing read, and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

*I was provided an advanced copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

WOW. This book was an amazing follow up to the first and I had to read them back to back. They were both absolutely stunning. I knew when I started reading that I would be hooked and that's exactly what happened. Somehow I was so incredibly attached to the main characters and the story was easy to read and follow.

I have to say that out of the two books I really enjoyed this one with how the last book ended were Mari and Zahir are now king queen and he's got to leave her to rule his City that she has very little knowledge about and seeing her grow and blossom just a phenomenal and him learning about himself and his other part of him is just phenom and then finding out the biggest villain is actually alive after thousands of years was really cool and ending was just wow

One of the most useless, idiotic, exhausting story I've read so far, the writing was horrendous. And it was so obvious, I knew it since book 1 that Illan was treacherous.

This book was so good! I’m so thankful for the opportunity of Arc reading it.

I spent half the book suspecting Anya and half almost everyone else…

Sooo many traitors!

How did no one figure out why his magic wasn’t stronger in Lovith???

I really liked that the FMC got the opportunity to reconnect with her brother.

Waiting for the next one not patiently at all after that ending 🙈
