April 10, 2016I finished this guide a little while ago and thought it was helpful in working through both books for our bible study. Subsequent to finishing, I read some commentary on a Catholic website citing a tendency to progressive interpretation of the Bible on the part of Collegeville. I did not pick on this while reading but I thought it was worth mentioning. If it exists, it is subtle, which might make it more problematic for laity to pick up on.
Or it's not there at all. It's a good reminder though for me to be critical and rooted firmly in doctrine as I educate myself on my Catholic faith.
