A concise yet profound book highlighting twenty-five essential reminders we all need to reflect on occasionally. This book also makes a wonderful gift!
The premise of the book is simple: happiness is not found in wealth, fame, entertainment or possessions. Genuine happiness comes from a purposeful life committed to God, supplemented with valuable relationships and good character.
The Quran and Sunnah are full of gems that train our minds to think better. The Quran reminds us that “It is only in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace.” (Surah al-Rad 13:28)
And the Sunnah reminds us that “The best worldly joy is a righteous spouse.” (Sahih Muslim 1467)
These are two samples of the treasury of verses and narrations I reflect on in this book. I pray that you find this book as valuable as I did, and that Allah accepts our efforts and makes this a means of guidance for many.
A small gem of key points to seek genuine happiness. Happiness does not lie in fleeting moments, wealth, fame or possessions but in the gift of worshipping our creator. Happiness lives in a life that is pleasing to the one and only. We please Allah by forming beautiful relationships, with ourself, our parents, our children, our siblings, our community and friends. And by serving Allah in all these facets of our lives we have not only unlocked the keys to happiness in this life but also the eternal happiness we shall find in the afterlife. Ilhamd lillah.
Beautifully written. Very consise yet profound. True self help with an impenetrable foundation. Leaves a light/warm feeling in the mind and heart. Definitely recommend for those seeking meaningful guidance 😊
It's a good book. Some of the tips are eye-opening for me and they are all important for us, Muslims to practice for a happier life. Indeed, to remember death, to strive for Paradise, and to endure the trials of this world are all keys to unlocking eternal happiness in the next life.
