Bombshell

Momma always told me that my sins would find me. I just didn’t think it would happen in a biker bar with my first crush bursting through the doors with his gun pointed at me. Well, not technically at me, but at my boyfriend- also known as my current sin. He was the thing I hoped the good Lord didn’t tell momma about in one of her dreams. Guess it didn’t matter anyway. I was caught and in a bigger mess than I could have imagined.

Micah Abe hadn’t laid eyes on Dolly Dixon, his younger sister’s best friend, in years, but her eyes were the kind you didn’t forget. Even if she’d grown into a woman with a body made for sin, he had recognized that unique shade of amber the moment she had locked her gaze on him. Damn shame he wouldn’t get a taste of her. His sister would cut off his favorite body part if he even considered it. Besides, he was over clingy women, and the way Dolly was holding on to his enemy like she wanted to wrap her legs around him meant she was the needy type.

Problem was he had to save her from herself. Clearly, Dolly was still clueless about life. That much hadn’t changed about her. He’d come here to get back what had been taken from him five years ago, but it looked like he’d be saving Snow White in the process.

“I will maim, kill, torture, whatever I need to do to whoever caused this if you will just tell me why, who. Point me in the right direction. Something. Just give me something here, Tink.”

When I tell you I binge read this in one sitting, I mean I absolutely DEVOURED it. It was finger licking delicious and total book crack. It was a perfect example of why I love Abbi Glines books. The woman has a formula that just works. She is the queen of bad boy/good girl vibes. It doesn't matter how many times I read this, it will always hit. ALWAYS.

This is a spin off of her Smoke series. If you haven't read that series yet, I have two words for you: souther mafia. Cowboys and mafia? Perfect combo. But I digress. While this is a spinoff and there are plenty of character cameos from that series, you can also easily enjoy this as a standalone. Though I highly recommend the Smoke series because it's delicious. But I digress.

What's the perfect spinoff of southern mafia? MC obviously! Enter Judgement and their batboy extraordinaire, Micah. Micah is your quintessential manwhore. The man doesn't give any woman attention past a night. MC life is everything for him and he's not looking to settle down any time soon if ever.

Dolly is the quintessential good girl. A good girl with southern matters and Micah's sister's best friend. So when Dolly finds herself in the middle of rivaling MC members, she is definitely not thrilled. The man she's been dating is not at all who she thought he was, and suddenly a blast from her past keeps roaring in on his motorcycle to "protect her". Dolly harbored a crush on Micah for as long as she remembers. But she isn't the naive young girl who crushed on him in her teens. And she has no allusions that the man would even look at her as anything other than his sister's friend. But oh how wrong she is.

Micah is a grade a a-hole and there were parts of the story where I wanted to shake him, c*ck punch him, and throw him in front of a bus. You know, simply to get him to see reason, obviously. Dolly, though a good girl is not a push over. Though she does forgive Micah all too easily when he turns the charm on. But I didn't even mind because I forgave him just as easily. There was just something about their chemistry and dynamic that I couldn't get enough of. The spice was spicing and the suspense was supsensing. And this girl was enjoying every delicious page of it. I can't wait for more in this series!

I enjoyed this mc world and the characters, however a lot felt unfinished. The heroines issues needed more work and the ending was abrupt. I also felt kind of bad for the other guy.

This is book one in Abbi Glines new Judement MC series, and what an amazing start! I love all the new characters, and also getting to see a few of the guys we already know and love. I’m an absolute sucker for the best friend’s brother trope, and the chemistry between these two was off the charts hot! I absolutely love how possessive and protective Micah was with Dolly right from first chapter. I can’t wait for the next book!

Bombshell is book 1 in the Judgement series by this new to me author. I really enjoyed Micah and Dolly; they had great chemistry. This was a typical biker book, and Micah was the typical biker who enjoyed the company of a variety of females. I also liked Dolly although I felt that she cried way too much for my liking. I did really enjoy when she showed some backbone. I'm looking forward to reading more books from this author.

I don't usually read books with this theme, he's a manwhore, she's a virgin. They tend to be full of double standards and excuses, which just makes me mad. This was not the case with this. I liked Micah, the H, eventually, I also liked our h, Dolly. There were times I felt I should have known some of the secondary characters, perhaps if I read more from this author, but it didn't take away from this story. There is some predictable OW drama, not much. I did feel like everything wrapped up fairly quickly in the end, it felt a little rushed, I did have a few unanswered questions.

I really enjoyed most of this book but found the ending lacklustre.

Dolly was like a Mariana Zapata h. Sweet, kind, forgiving.

Loved it!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐1\2
Trope: opposites attract; best friends brother
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Really enjoyed this story. Loved how the characters developed and how the MMC became enamored of who the FMC is now. Wasn't necessarily thrilled with the MMC being with OW so late into the book, but it wasn't after they got together, so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Great storyline that moved well and had the perfect amount of angst. Really loved how sweet the FMC was and thought the chemistry was on point. Can't wait to see who's coming next!

I’m already a big fan of Abby’s Smoke series, about the Southern Mafia (who also have ties to the Judgement MC). Bombshell is book 1 of the Judgement Series, and I finished it within 24 hrs-staying up until 4:00 am, then finishing it first thing this morning.
I loved Micah (Judgement MC’s VP) and Dolly’s story. Dolly is 21 yrs old, but VERY naive-and a virgin. She’s been Micah’s half-sister’s best friend since they were children, and she’d had a huge crush on Micah in her teenage years, but he’d always ignored her. She’d been crushed by that, and decided she was never letting herself have any kind of feelings for him again.
Micah is a manwh^re who’s determined to never have feelings for a woman after getting his heart broken years ago. He doesn’t want to be tied down or have to take care of someone else. Let’s just say that seeing Dolly all grown up, giving him unexpected sass, and raising all his protective instincts is not something he was prepared for.🤣
So… I’m not giving anything else away here. You’ll just have to read it to find out what happens 😉

I really liked this. It's Abbi Glines so you know what you're going to get with her male characters. Dolly was cute and her inner monologues were funny at the beginning, but then it went a little darker from her past traumas. Micah is your typical MC manwhore and you will get his sexapades before he's with Dolly. He's all in once he figures it out 🤦. I was expecting more trouble from the club whore Dylan, but alas there was nothing. Also, we never know what happens with his ex Calista. Whether they found her and what the MC will do with her. The ending was so abrupt. Felt like another hundred pages could have been added.

This is an interconnected series with the Smoke series so you will get characters from over there poppin in over here. But you can read the two series separately

I found this to be just okay. Typical pattern of her books lately. The guy doesn’t want a relationship and meets an innocent heroine who makes them change their mind. Nothing wrong with that, just didn’t find this very memorable.
Also, Dolly’s grief was never really given any treatment. I don’t know if it’s mentioned, but trigger warning for self harm. Dolly has flashbacks of doing it and also does it in the present. Yes, people know about it and are worried it never goes further. Also, Micah and Dolly commented about her being mentally slow, but it was never touched on. Like did she have a disability or did people just think she was slow? I needed more things to be wrapped up before this book ended.

Overall, it wasn’t terrible but a bit copy/paste and left a lot unanswered.

don't know what to think about this book. The plot was interesting and I was expecting an interesting and enticing story, however, I got nothing. To me, the male character is a typical cocky jerk who thinks with his dick, the female character is a total fool.

Sexy scenes are laughable.

,, Last night, Micah had been sweet and attentive. He’d made me come six
times before we finally both passed out from exhaustion. Twice, I had done
that squirting thing that he loved so much.”

I mean , give me a break , will you ?

And the nickname "Tink" drove me crazy all the time.

Ugh, I love a good Abbi Glines book 🖤 There's just something so addictive about them. Had I known there was a character crossover from her Southern Mafia series, I would have bumped those up on my TBR first. However, you can read this without having read that series, I just prefer to have the full character backstories. Very southern dialogue.

Abbi Glines is on fire!!! The Smoke series ended with Ashes. Fans are now treated to a continuation (of sorts) with the Judgement series. Bombshell is book one and what a great start! There are more emotions and angst starting right off in chapter one! And we also get a new cast of characters to get to know and love!

If you have read the Smoke series then you have met Micah Abe, the Judgement MC's VP. He is your typical man whore, badass, MC guy. He was raised in the club. Micah was used to women throwing themselves at him. He never lacked female company. Although they had different mom's, he spent his summers with his sister, Pepper. Dolly Dixon is Pepper's best friend, so she is off limits in every way possible.

Dolly is kind and caring. She has had trauma in her life which occurs right in the beginning of the book. She is always helping someone and trying to better herself. Too bad she got mixed up with the wrong man and ended up between him and Micah.

She was a compact little bombshell.

He was walking sin.

Micah and Dolly were an interesting couple. Micah had never wanted to settle down or be tied down. Dolly is such a sweetie. They each bring things to the table. I love how Micah has no clue that he is falling hard for Dolly! Throw in some drama, a misunderstanding, and some super sexy times and you will be begging for the next book to release!

As I said above, Bombshell is a great start for the new Judgement series! I was a bit surprised that the story ended quickly but I am sure that it will either pick up in the next book or it will be talked about in the books to come.

It looks like Abbi Glines is going to keep us all busy in 2024 as she plans on releasing many more books in this series! I am so excited! They are my go-to for hot & steamy romance! And now the Smoke series is in Kindle Unlimited so that will keep you busy between releases!

It was okay

So this wasn't my favorite of the characters I've read. Seemed rushed at the end. And Dolly drove me nuts. For being 21 she was super naive. It just didn't seem realistic since her best friend was around bikers all the time and dealt with tough things. She was super timid and didn't have much of a back bone. Micah was a good character. But he flipped the switch too easily.

A new MC book set in the world of the southern Mafia? Sign me up!
I wasn’t aware the author completed the previous series because I was gonna dive into it regardless. But we get a glimpse of the Southern Mafia we love while introducing a slew of MC characters who we were teased about in the previous series. Micah was the perfect badass to start with! I’m here for it. I loved it. Just keep them coming!!!!!

3.5 - I liked it better than most of the books in the connected series. 🤷🏼‍♀️ like usual, there’s lots of drama brought up and none of it is explored with any depth, which is annoying. But I was entertained and only cringed a few times. 😅

Honestly, I don't have much to say about Bombshell. It was an easier read than a lot of the related Smoke series books. There was less violence and gore. I could still do without the brief OW scenes or the overuse of some sexual stuff, but I've come to accept them as par for the course with these Glines's books. The couple was a good match and fun to read about. There just wasn't much to make this book stand out.

Okay, so I really used to liked Abbi Glines’ books but the new biker/ cowboy bad boy mafia theme she’s got going on is just not for me.

In this case: the female lead was a weak, stupid, naive and annoying girl. Whines a lot. If the guy isn’t telling her 24/7 that she’s amazing then she loses her self confidence.

The male lead, Mikah, apart from the name, which I liked, was a total ass. Sleeps with her after the 2nd time he sees her. Even tough she’s a VIRGIN. And needed 2 months to even think about sleeping with her previous boyfriend. Moreover, I mean what does he even do? Does he work or something ? Highly problematic characters in my opinion. I’m over this “era” of books. We all love a good bad boy/ asshole lead but this wasn’t it.

It was good but expected.
Always a similar plot with Abbi which is bad boy meets good girl. Good girl is the sweetest girl ever and wins over the bad boy who up until now has been a whore but changes his way.
Abbi is moving the C word with this series (smoke series and obviously this spin off) and I don't know why or if it's just a biker / mafia thing she has decided fits but I'm a little over reading it haha. Don't get me wrong I'll still read the rest of the series and probably the other spin of with the southern mafia but mainly because I know what I'm in for and it's an expectation that I'll enjoy somewhat. I do feel like this book was the start of a long series and we will probably get books for a bunch of the Judgement MC and their women so let's see.

I REALLY did not like the mmc!!! He was manipulative! I'm sure some people might think the fmc was a doormat and at times I would agree, but mostly I saw her as just a nice, sweet girl... So the way he took advantage of her being like that didn't always come across as alpha, just a$$hole.
I did finish this in one day, so it kept moving along, but it was kinda all over the place with so much drama (with even some past trauma that was not fully explained). Finally, I didn't like the abrupt ending. There wasn't even any leading into what the next in the series could be about. Oh and don't get me started on all the random name dropping - which I'll just assume are from other series since this is the first book in this one.

Spice 2🌶

This was such a different book than I'm used to reading from Abbi Glines. I'm so hair she is coming out with The Judgment books. I was hoping she would. This was such a fast read and not as normal descriptive sexual scenes as she's used to writing. I know that doesn't make a book. It was just different and fast-paced. I was surprised. I almost went back to see if I didn't download the whole thing. I felt like I wanted to know more of Dolly's story that she didn't touch base on when she said, "I don't want to discuss that right now." I thought it would touch base late, and it didn't.

Dolly had grown up from a troubling past. After finding her father hanging from the garage when she was little, her life was thrown into something a lot of people struggle with. She wants love, the unconditional kind. Her best friend Pepper is the only person who truly knows Dolly. Growing up, Dolly had a crush on Pepper's brother Micah, but time had passed, and she hadn't seen him in 6 years. She's prim, prissy, and had an overbearing Christian momma. Pepper had helped Dolly finally get away from her mom and the church people. Dolly is someone you have to be careful around. Anything can send her spiraling. She had some deep negative thoughts that she can't help due to her past. Does Micah really help her or hurt her more. He finds out things that she had kept hidden. Helps her through them. She doesn't see the beauty in herself that everyone else sees. She feeds the homeless. Helps an older neighbor pay her bills on time. Helps do art projects with an 11 year old neighbor because his father is an alcoholic. She is such a sweet, loving person that everyone sees but herself. You have to be careful what you say and do around her, which Micah learns soon.

Micah is the #2, the VP in The Judgment MC. He loves women, but just for sexual purposes. Nothing else. He's been in love 2x, and they both didn't end well. Now, he needs to collect on something that was taken from them. Canyon owes them over 100k, and he's fresh out of prison. When they locate him at a bar and threaten to take back what's theirs, he's not expecting to find Dolly hiding behind Canyon, attached to him. He's mad because in his head, Dolly is slow. She doesn't get a lot of things. He thinks Canyon is using Dolly like he used Micah's sister Pepper. He needs to get her away and keep her safe. What he isn't prepared for is the fact that Dolly isn't slow like he thought. She's sexy and he can't seem to get enough of her.

I'm wondering if there is going to be a second book to this because it was so fast-paced and ended way too soon on my head. I needed to know more. I can never rate an Abbi Glines book bad. Nothing she writes ever is. It was just different and missing pieces, I thought. Micah wants to be that man for Dolly, and she is gullible to eat up every word and thing he does. He takes her V-card, and it makes her want him even more than before. When she finds out Micah's old love is back in town, wanting him, something awful happens. You just have to read the book to find out what. Is Micah good or bad for Dolly?

Tropes:
- MC Club
- Virgin Heroine
- Forced Proximity
- Fast-Paced

Trigger Warnings ⚠️
- Self Cutting
- Depression
- Childhood Abuse
- Suicide of a parent

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Southern Mafia + MC Club? I was SOLD from page one.

A new MC romance set in the gritty world of the Southern Mafia? Sign. Me. Up. This story grabbed me instantly with its raw emotion, high stakes, and characters who feel so painfully real you can’t help but root for them.

Dolly is the heart of this book.
She’s grown up carrying trauma no child should ever experience finding her father hanging in the garage shattered her world and set her on a path full of darkness, spirals, and deep-rooted self-doubt. With an overbearing, hyper-religious mother and a town that never saw her for who she truly was, Dolly has spent her whole life longing for unconditional love.

But beneath her fragile edges is a girl with the softest soul.
She feeds the homeless.
Helps an elderly neighbor with her bills.
Creates art with an 11-year-old whose father can’t show up for him.
She pours love into everyone around her… she just can’t see the beauty in herself.

Her best friend Pepper is the only one who has ever fully understood her. But there’s always been someone else tugging at Dolly’s heart Pepper’s brother, Micah, the boy she crushed on growing up. Except he’s not a boy anymore, and she hasn’t seen him in six long years.

Micah is now the VP of The Judgment MC, a tough-as-nails enforcer who only loves women for one thing and one thing only. After two heartbreaks, he’s done with feelings. Done with opening himself up. Done with anything that resembles “more.”

But when he goes to collect a debt and finds Dolly hiding behind the very man he’s hunting… everything changes.
He assumes Dolly is slow, fragile, unable to understand the world around her—something that makes him furious at Canyon for using her. But the truth?
Dolly isn’t slow.
She’s sweet.
She’s beautiful.
And she’s so far under his skin he can’t breathe without thinking of her.

Micah’s mission shifts from vengeance to protection, and in the forced proximity that follows, he starts to see every layer of the girl he misjudged. The trauma she carries, the demons she battles, the goodness she gives even when she has none left for herself.

And instead of breaking her further, he becomes the one steady thing that helps her heal.

This book is intense, emotional, gritty, and surprisingly tender. It blends the danger of MC life with the vulnerability of trauma recovery, giving us a heroine you’ll want to wrap in your arms and a hero who falls harder than he ever wanted to.

TROPE CHECKLIST:
• 🏍️ MC Club
• 💘 Virgin Heroine
• 🏠 Forced Proximity
• ⚡ Fast-Paced
• 🤝 Protective, possessive hero
• 💔 Trauma + healing arc

If you love high-stakes MC romance with a deeply emotional core, this one is going to consume you. I devoured it.

Just when I think Abbi Glines has done it all, she did it again! In this story, she united an angel (Dolly) with the devil (playboy biker-dude Micah). Dolly is Micah’s little sister’s best friend, they haven’t seen each other in years. And now when they meet again, Dolly remembers how much she crushed on him and why it wasn’t a good idea; Micah reacts to the tiny bombshell he finds Dolly is now, nicknames her Tink (as in Tinkerbell) and starts lusting for her real hard.

With the usual MC and Southern Mafia shenanigans, we’re now set on getting to know the Judgement MC club up close, the ladies of the club, and introduced to club politics. At one moment, Micah mentioned going to church and I was gobsmacked until I realized it’s their meeting room 😂

Dolly has some strong issues going on, she’s strong and dealing but sometimes they knock her down. Her bestie Pepper is very protective, I enjoyed seeing how Micah loves and respects his little sister, also a little afraid of her. She seems to be a firecracker! I loved, loved, seeing Gage Presley, even though he’s used as the grim reaper to instill fear in the MC’s enemies. His smirk and good humor are legendary as well as his psychotic tendencies. The other guys appear but Gage is my favorite.

The book is super entertaining, with all the MC business, the slight suspense coming from the guy who targeted Dolly to get back at Micah, Dolly’s issues, Micah trying to keep the distance, Pepper’s many threats to her brother, all the bikers who look scary but the ones protecting Dolly are marshmallows. I loved the interactions, the decent people who appear dangerous initially and are anything but, loved Dolly’s generosity and kindness to everyone in need. It really is impossible not to love her. The slow burn as Micah holds strong and then folds is deliciously sweet and sexy. Dolly is insecure and broke my heart many times, and I was rooting for her because she deserves everything good and kind. It really was a great read!

My only concern with the book was that several plot lines were not closed up tightly and I hope it’s because they will be addressed in future books. Otherwise, it was another knock out of the park by Abbi Glines!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the first book in the Judgement Series. This is the story of Micah Abe and Dolly Dixon. If you have read the Smoke series then in that series you met Micah Abe who is the VP of the Judgement MC. Dolly is his younger sister Pepper's best friend. They have different moms so Micah was raised in a MC but always spent his summers with Pepper and they are super close. Even if he hadn't seen her in years his sister would have his hide if he were to try to mess with her in any way shape or form. He and Dolly actually haven't seen each other in years and I will go ahead and tell you that Dolly has lived though some serious trauma and the first chapter of this book will grab you by the throat and break your heart for her. When they do see each other it is because Micah comes barreling into a bar after after the guy who is certainly not a friend, he recognizes Dolly by her eyes right away and his protective instincts for her kick in right away. He is shocked she is messed up with this guy and he figures she doesn't know just what kind of situation she is getting herself into from associating with this scum bag. Their attraction is undeniable and you are going to fall in love with both of these characters. I love the growth that happens in this book as Micah really works to become the man that Dolly needs in her life. Dolly is really sweet and really tormented and the more you read the more your heart will break for her. But she has so much support from Pepper in this book and I loved that Pepper was so strong and fierce and really tough. Dolly too really grows in this book as she reveals things and wants to be the woman that she feels like Micah deserves. These two are going to steal your heart. You will not want to lay this book down and will be reading well into the night. I can't wait to see who the next book is about. I so hope that Pepper gets hers own book in this series. I really loved her and know that her story will be amazing. Don't hesitate to get this book. You are going to lose your heart to these two characters and not want it back.
