A tortured man.
A redemptive man.
Puck is desperate and driven—a man to be watched.

As a former MI5 agent assigned to the UK’s task force of the United Nations Coalition Against Human Trafficking, I’ve walked a fine line between right and wrong—always making sure to do what’s necessary for the greater good. Kidnapping my commander for help is no exception. I do what needs to be done.

But when I discover that the woman who captured my heart is still alive and in danger, I need all the help I can recruit to save my beloved Seshat. With the full-force of the coalition and SIS searching for her, we have to be stealthy and quick. Time is of the essence. Seshat’s secrets and past are riddled with enemies who will stop at nothing to destroy her and her future happiness. Now that I know the truth about everything, I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her.

Can I save the only woman who matters before it’s too late?

While each title in this series is a standalone featuring one couple with their own HEA, the books in the series will be more enjoyable read in order.

What an emotional story!

If you're familiar with this author's Allied Intelligence series, you know how Puck and Seshat are vital to the team's efforts to combat human trafficking around the globe. In this glorious romance, we get their WHOLE story, starting way back when they first met, all the way through to the shocking connection to the criminal organization they're hunting. Their story was introduced in Find My Angel, but now we see exactly what was going on with each of them throughout the years.

It's a beautiful love story at its heart, with a side of intense and sometimes heartbreaking action scenes. I loved how strong Seshat was even when she thought she was losing everything, and I agonized with Puck when he realized just how much his mistake had cost him. This is a true roller coaster story with the highest of highs after the lowest of lows and I could not have loved it more.

I commend the author for her sensitive handling of mental health issues and how they affect and are affected by one's career. Clearly there's been a ton of research behind the scenes, which brought an impressive level of authenticity to the characters' struggles.

We get full closure on the entire AMPS investigation as Puck and Seshat finally get their HEA, and we're introduced to a couple of somewhat familiar faces who have their own adventure brewing. I love how the author intricately connects each standalone romance to the greater community of her characters, beautifully tying all the stories together in a daisy chain of love and family, suspense and justice.

Just an amazing story, start to finish. Highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

In the prologue of this book, we learn the result of Puck kidnapping Z. Decker finds a lead unfortunately they just miss finding DeDe 'Seshat' Starkweather. They do however find a photograph of Puck's infant daughter, Linnea.

The book then goes back to when Sven 'Puck' Lindstrom met DeDe Starkweather. He'd been watching her for a while and finally approaches her as she's studying in her normal spot in the library. There's no place to sit what with everyone studying for Michaelmas exams except at her table where five chairs sat unoccupied. She offers him a seat which he takes and then he introduces himself before she delves back into studying.

It takes eighteen days before Puck asks her to join him for tea or something and he's almost surprised she accepts. Only that has an unexpected outcome, when she enters the pub and immediately turns around and brushes past him to run in the direction they came from.

Right from the start the attraction was there, and already I wanted these two together.

I love that he gave her the nickname Seshat the ancient Egyptian Goddess of Libraries, writing, wisdom and knowledge. That later becomes her MI5 handle.

We follow their story from the kidnapping of Z (you can read that story in Find My Angel), to the task force. From England to the United States and back again.

There are many twists in this book, some very surprising, all of it intriguing, some sizzle and there's one heck of an ending.

I can't wait to read the next book!

This is the first book of K19 Allied Intelligence team two. Team one dealt with bringing down the trafficking ring of AMPS. At the of that series there were a few questions unanswered. One of them being what happened to Seshat. Who we learn in this book her name is Dede. We learned in team one that she was actually a twin, and that twin took her place within the team, and eventually was killed after she kidnapped Oleander in Code Name:Poseidon. However we never knew what happened to Seshat, was she dead? Alive? What about Puck? Did he really go off the deep end as was feared?
This book tells their story from their first meeting at Oxford, up to present day. You get to see them fall in love and there's a lot of roadblocks to their HEA. But your questions regarding these two from previous books are answered. I should clarify this book can be read as a stand alone, because we recap most of the events of Team One, just in the POV of Seshat or Puck.
I'm looking forward to the next book Code Name: Michelangelo. Penelope the last one single of the tribe of five, finally gets her HEA. The other four found theirs in the Butler Ranch series as well as K19 Security Solutions Team one and Team Two. I'd always wondered when she would get her book.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest and voluntary review, but I've read all of Heather Slades books.

I loved reading the story of Puck and Seshat!

Puck is a former MI5 agent assigned to the UK’s task force of the United Nations Coalition Against Human Trafficking. He has kidnapped his commander because he needs help on finding the love of his life, Seshat, who is supposedly dead, who was an agent that turned against them? but he finds out she is not, and neither is his child who he just found out he had. He had to convince his commander of this, and fortunately he did, so no repercussions will be done. Seshat has been on the run her whole life with her mother, moving every few months. The love between Puck and Seshat did not wane since they were in college, but were separated for four years. All I can say that this story is a mystery and a puzzle that must be solved. There are tragic moments, too, with twists and turns that are unexpected. These two characters’ personalities fit together like a glove, until an ultimatum is given. It’s a wonderful story with a ton of emotions that you deal with right along with them.

Romantic Suspense That Will Keep You Turning the Pages

Puck and Seshat met when they were in college, and the attraction between them was instant. At the time, someone was stalking Seshat, but she did not understand why. She told Puck that she spent her childhood moving with her mom, from place to place. What was the story? The two would get close, but life would separate them for a while. The two would meet again doing their dangerous job of hunting traffickers and other dangerous criminals throughout the globe.

Someone was still hunting Seshat. Someone wanted her dead. For a while, everyone thought she was dead. What happened, and how far would Puck go to find and save her? Who was controlling Seshat’s life, and why?

This is a story, full of intrigue and deadly danger. The mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed this romantic suspense and would recommend it to lovers of romantic suspense. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Code Name Puck starts the new K19 AIT Team Two series but also connects with several older series as well. Since there is sufficient re-cap, it's a great teaser for anyone not familiar with Heather's previous books, while loyal readers will love to revisit beloved characters, like Z. Puck and Seshat's story is more romance than suspense to me, even though it's certainly not lacking in nerve-wrecking events and plenty of mystery. I loved their rather sweet getting-to-know-each-other as well as their 'it's a small world' second chance. Everything combines to a wonderful and emotional read which also introduces the two main characters of the next book in the series. I can't wait!
I was lucky to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

Sometimes it just takes a while.

Each book in this series just gets better and better. I love how all the stories and characters intertwine and we get to visit them often along the way. I also love how some of the couple are teased over so many books before we get their true story.

Puck is one of those stories. They were a side storyline in a few books now that gave information but nothing to really make us understand the scope of their situation. How long their story was and how deep their love was despite time, distance and differences.

I was surprised how their relationship played out and how all the pieces of their timeline fit when it was all there. It made me look at Puck differently and with deeper understanding. This is another exciting couple and I can’t wait for the next book.

Oh, my goodness this one will definitely suck you in from page 1 and keep you turning the pages until the end. The twist and turns that Puck and Seshat face will keep you wondering as to what will happen next and will they ever be able to be together again. These two are quite the entertaining couple as they discover they love each other but deal with the strangeness and twist that involve Seshat. How Puck goes about getting help in the beginning is quite interesting but once he's working with the other K19 Allied Intelligence Team members to bring Seshat to safety, let the drama and twists keep you on the edge of your seat as to how it will end. Just when I think Heather can't bring us a better book, here comes Code Name: Puck. This is definitely my new favorite book.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

Puck and Seshat's story starts at Oxford where they met in a library. She's alone, seemingly by choice, but he is drawn to her. Their friendship evolves to so much more but there is mystery, intrigue, drama and danger that surround them both. He makes demands and she in turn refuses. They both disappear from each other's lives and from the Coalition team. He fights his demons and faces some realities. He goes so far as to abduct his former boss in order to convince him that Seshat is in danger. She truly is and when she finally gets answers from her mother a life on the run becomes her reality. Ultimately, calling in K19 produces results that have been a very long time coming. Lots of twists and turns in this book. Many scenarios from other books in this series are reintroduced but told from a different perspective.

When you are safe

Pick/Sven and DeDe/Sashat make a wonderful couple. They meet in college and fall in love but things lead to them falling out of touch until they meet again for work. They immediately reconnect and things are going great until team member die and as Puck is dealing with that emotional hit, they have a communication problem and Sashat finds out she and her mom are in quite a lot of danger. The tie in of mental health and finally getting the back story of where Puck disappeared to and what happened with Z was great and I was excited for the answers. The tie in with Brand from an earlier book and the art gallery was fun and I am interested to see what his story includes for him, Penelope and this world. A great read with lots of the team and couples helping bring Puck and Sashat back together and safe.

Puck is the first book for a new spin off series by Heather Slade called K19 Intelligence. The book will dive into the beginning of DeDe “Seshat” and Sven “Puck”’s story at university. Twists and espionage will draw them together before life sends them in different directions again and again. Heather Slade crafts her characters with so much complexity that gives her characters life and great character arcs with a story that packs a punch. The suspense will keep you on your toes between the evil twin and Puck’s ghosting. Then Seshat running for her life and Puck doing everything he can to find her and his unknown child. This is an amazing start to this series. I can’t wait to unfold the next one.

This is the first in the K19 Allied Intelligence team two, the pairing of Puck and Seshat. Dede and Sven meet years ago at Oxford, but circumstances separated them. Years later Dede comes to work for the same agency and the pair reconnect. This is an emotional story that Puck makes even more so when he gives Dede an ultimatum and she does not act like he wants her to, he takes off.

If you read Find My Angel before this one you will understand Puck’s desperation in finding Dede when is known that she is still alive and knowing that she had his child. Can Puck and the team find her before the past catches up with her?

While this story is a standalone, you get a better feel for it if you read them in order.

Code Name: Puck

Wow! I couldn't seem to stop reading this story! This story is about Sven and DeDe! It starts at the time when they first laid eyes on each other. Sven is Puck and DeDe is Seshat. Glad to see the other members of the Coalition back together again. It's unfortunate that these two didn't agree on their jobs and were apart for almost two years. Their reunion will definitely bring a tear to your eye. Their daughter's first word when Sven saw her was dada. DeDe's story was finally revealed by her mum before she passed away. It was a shock to see she had a twin plus half siblings. The gal who helped DeDe and her baby was an angel. Glad all are safe for now. FANTASTIC job Heather! I would recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

Code Name: Puck is the first book in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two series. While we met Puck and Seshat individually in previous K19 books, this is the first time we are getting to know them as a couple. And boy, was the wait worth it! Heather Slade has created two amazing leading characters with so much depth that they truly feel real. Get ready to sit on the edge of your seat! This book is full of all the twists, turns, and surprises that readers have come to love and expect from Heather. Puck and Seshat’s story is the perfect start to this new series, and I for one, cannot wait to see the series unfold.

I had been looking forward to Puck’s story since Cayman’s book. And I would give it many many more stars than 5.

I enjoyed going backward to the beginning. I loved the way that Sven and DeDe met … I guess it is what is called a slow burn. Great descriptions of feelings and locations.

I also enjoyed going back to the part with Z Alexander, which was the beginning of another of Heather Slade’s books called Find My Angel; then of course the rest of the story.

The action and adventure was perfectly written. Definitely a fast read but one I will read again and again.

Thank you, Heather Slade for your words and your imagination!!

When we ended K19 Allied Intelligence Team One's series we still had unanswered questions and a lot of them revolved around Sven 'Puck' Lindstrom and DeDe 'Seshat' Starkweather in this latest offering we not only get some of those answers but we actually get their story from right back in their days at Oxford, their time at MI5 and MI6 and their work with the human trafficking Allied Intelligence Unit. Believe me this is a roller coaster ride with plenty of suspense tension and drama if you are like me you won't want to put it down until you turn the last page. I am looking forward to more books in his latest

Love these K19 Intrigue and Romance Stories!!

We meet Puck and Seshat in college prior to any association with MI5. So, we start with the background of the characters and how they meet. We are treated to a few passages of time before they reconnect.

Another favorite thing to discover: this story is parallel to a story I have already read in this world, just from another perspective. I always enjoy the aha and following the additional viewpoint.

Terrific characters, great team, exciting chain of events, heartfelt romance and all those ingredients which make a thoroughly enjoyable reading experience.

This is the 1st book in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two series by Heather Slade and this story is Sven (Puck) and DeDe! (Seshat)’s story. Their story begins from their days at Oxford, their time at MI5 and MI6 and their work with the human trafficking Allied Intelligence Unit. They couldn’t agree on their jobs so as a result they were apart for almost two years. Their reunion was one of the most enlighting parts of the book and will definitely bring a tear to your eye. There is intrigue, twists & turns, and everything else that you have come to expect from Heather. Congratulations on a book well written.

Nothing can describe how this book just pulled me in and would not let me go until I finished it. It is finally time to read the full story of Puck and Seshat. This book has so much intrigue, mystery, adventure and heartache. We finally wrap up the AMPS full story and how it affected Puck and Seshat. These two have such tremendous chemistry from their first hello. It was heart breaking to read about their story and the things that kept them apart for so long. A must read in these brilliant books.

Heather has given us a great story. In this one we learn the history of Puck and Sheshat. If you’ve read Find My Angel you will already know a bit of where this book goes. The backstory and history will have you laughing, crying and all around learning the answers to many questions. We meet a host of character’s that have become are friends as well as some new ones. And yes we are still hearing about the Human Trafficking that are heroes and heroines are still looking into. And an introduction to Michelangelo which will be an interesting and surprise as to who he is. Enjoy.

Knowing the lengths Puck would go to for the love if his life I was so ecstatic that we got to see their love story from the very beginning!
Life brings some people together for a short time and others for what is to be forever and these two are the forever kind, but it's a love that grows over time and sees them both going to great lengths for it. You get some great romance, danger along with suspense and some stressful moments as well as getting help from those who chose to be family plus apparent strangers who turn out to be more.

This book was almost unreadable. While this was billed as the first in a series it felt like I was reading every other chapter of a much larger book, I guess stuff happens in other series concurrently?
Anyway, the story made no sense, there was no character development and the plot was impossible to follow. The SIS stuff was laughably wrong, I probably know too much about this as I’m former military and currently hold a govt security clearance for work, but let’s just say it was extremely bad.
Just skip this one

The mystery of Seshat's disappeance has finally been told and it was amazing!!! Her and Puck's story from beginning to end was a fantastic read. Heather Slade never disappoints in her ability to tie her series' together and continue the story to a great end and then leaving you counting down to the next book...what happened to Penelope, how does it tie into the existing story line and also to find out more about Brando it has been too long since the start of his story.

It's always a pleasure to read this author. We've met these characters before in another series, but this is the deep dive to figure out how and why they got to where they are today. So much clarity has been provided in this book for Puck and Seshat. I enjoy all the personalities that come out with each character after we get to know them better. It's amazing how small the world really is when the connections are shown.

Puck and Seshat. Been waiting for this story. Puck and Seshat worked for M15. They were working on taking down a rather large international human trafficing group. Puck loved Seshat, but after a op gone wrong he demanded that she resign . After much debate, he left. When he goes back to talk to her, things aren't right. She isn't the same person.

This book is full of love, mystery, deceit and intrigue.

"Code Name: Puck" (K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two Book 1) by Heather Slade was a great read. I loved Puck and Seshat's story. This story had romance, passion, twists, family, friends, second chances, action, suspense, and more. This was a fantastic start to this new spin-off series. I'm anxious to read what happens next. I highly recommend it to all fans of romance, action, suspense, and series.

I loved this story that tells the story of how Puck and Seshat met and fell in love during Uni. Filled with angst, romance, heartbreak, intrigue, and more. This story dovetails into Magnet’s story since Puck kidnapped Z Alexander, though you could definitely read this as a stand-alone. I also liked that we meet up with some of the notable characters from earlier books like Pinch and Deck. Loved this one!
